Every song on HOWLING GIANT's sophomore album "Glass Future" tells it's own story. Yet even without an overarching concept, all could exist within the same universe. Such crafty lyrical world-building is hardly surprising coming from a trio of enthusiastic fantasy and science fiction aficionados. "Glass Future" downright asks to inspire a book or graphic novel, even as it explodes with furious energy and thunderous acrobatics. Musically, "Glass Future" offers a continuation and evolution of all the elements that made the debut album "The Space Between Worlds" (2019) such a success. HOWLING GIANT entice classic metal and hard rock to interact dynamically with spacy, prog-infused passages, desert and psychedelic metal moments, rock organs, catchy hooks, and top everything off with soaring harmonized vocals. HOWLING GIANT hail from one of the most legendary places for music on earth: Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Despite the city's reputation for assembly-line pop country, the town called Music City is a place of deep history, where brilliant songwriters and virtuoso session players keep dozens of musical legacies burning bright. Fertile ground, then, for a preeminent fuzz-psych power trio who consciously live in the pocket of that lineage. During the last two years, the trio integrated bassist Sebastian Baltes, the son of German metal legends ACCEPT's former bass player Peter Baltes, fully into the band as a co-writer. HOWLING GIANT take a gargantuan leap forward with "Glass Future" that brings their outstanding musicianship and golden-throated triple vocal attack fully into stride. Nothing to do but try to keep up and enjoy the stunning sonic scenery along the way!

Limited red, yellow, and black marbled vinyl LP pressing. One of the original vanguards of death metal is back! 38 years into their storied career, IMMOLATION returns with their 12th album, "Descent". Once again, long-time fans and unsuspecting newcomers will be confronted with hymns of darkness and fury, invoked by one of the most respected names in the genre. Constantly touring, constantly evolving and constantly releasing flawless records, IMMOLATION's unwavering dedication to extreme music culminated in the 2024 biography, "Into Everlasting Fire - The Official History of Immolation" by Kevin Stewart-Panko, telling their impressive development from their raw demos to legendary 1991 debut "Dawn Of Possession" up until now. And now, is the best time to descent into the sonic depths of IMMOLATION as their newest opus, mixed and mastered by long-time collaborator Zack Ohren, offers a muscular production that captures the band in it's most fiery and brooding moments alike. For the artwork, the band relied on Eliran Kantor (Testament, Kreator) who crafted an intimidating piece perfectly visualizing the aura of this opus. It would be too simple to deploy descriptions like "heavy" or "brutal"; on "Descent" IMMOLATION excel in delivering death metal that stands alone with a unique and elevated voice.

With their fourth album "Inexorable Opposites", JACK HARLON & THE DEAD CROWS deliver a doozy of a record. The Psychedelic Western Rockers from Down Under have taken a big leap that was made possible by breaking new ground. It pays off that the Australians have dared to take numerous creative risks, of which several stand out: First off, "Inexorable Opposites" introduces new drum powerhouse Brayden Becher, who has literally given the band an extra kick. This was amplified by employing Lewis Noke-Edwards as a third party engineer for the tracking of the drums. While the creative process was generally more collaborative than for previous releases, the album also comes with an extended range as it includes both the 'heaviest' and 'gentlest' songs the band have ever recorded. Probably as important as the musical tweaks is the new direction that the lyrics take on "Inexorable Opposites". While there are still new tales playing out in the universe of the eponymous science fiction Western character Jack Harlon, vocalist Tim Coutts-Smith was mostly inspired by experiences both personal and from recent years as well as being influenced by his work in mental health. JACK HARLON & THE DEAD CROWS deliver a beautifully matured and musically experienced version of their characteristic sound on the fourth album "Inexorable Opposites". With adult lyrics that take their listeners seriously in a contemplation about the duality of life and the frequent contradictions of the self with the external world, the Australians show their growth and songwriters and musicians without losing the connection to the titanic fuzz and heavy riffs that helped put them on the map.

They recorded three highly regarded albums for Giant Records - Acid (1983), Maniac (1983), and Engine Beast (1985) - before breaking up in the mid-80s. In 2019, lead vocalist Kate de Lombaert decided to resurrect the band under the name Kate's Acid. The current line-up of the band consists of guitarist Geert Annys, drummer Ashley "Ash" Ysewyn, bassist Camilo "Thunder Screamer" Ortega, and Kate on vocals. Morning Star finds Këkht Aräkh arriving at a truer, more refined version of himself. Recorded between Berlin and Stockholm, the album emerges from a period of intense personal and artistic growth, blending aggressive black metal passages with immersive, textured soundscapes that feel both intimate and vast.Since his origins in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, Dmitry (a.k.a. Crying Orc), the sole mastermind behind the project, has sought a distinctive path within black metal. This vision unfolded through his debut Through the Branches to Eternity EP (2018) and the albums Night & Love (2018) and Pale Swordsman (2021), establishing a signature tension between ferocious, visceral black metal and delicate, introspective ballads. On Morning Star, this dynamic reaches new depth. Created at a point of artistic clarity, the album explores a rawer, more personal emotional palette, shaped by stress, anxiety, and long stretches of writer’s block, giving it rare immediacy and vulnerability.
Dmitry recorded nearly all instruments himself, with drums by Jonathan (Spira Me, Vanskapth, Olycka). Bladee contributed vocals and co-wrote lyrics on “Eternal Martyr,” an unexpected collaboration that reveals intuitive chemistry. VS--55 and Varg2™ add abstract sampling and subtle textural design, giving Morning Star its distinctive grain and analog warmth, while James Ginzburg (Emptyset, Osmium) handled final mastering, enhancing dynamic depth and atmospheric richness.
Several tracks revisit earlier material with fresh perspectives. “Wänderer” and “Drömsång” are partially rerecorded or fully reimagined. Intense, driving passages collide with sparse, contemplative interludes, producing a landscape both visceral and haunting. Themes of isolation and wandering surface in “Wänderer,” dreamlike melancholy in “Drömsång,” existential struggle in “Angest,” and reflections on time and transformation in “Three Winters Away.”
With Morning Star, Këkht Aräkh synthesizes past explorations with new collaborative energy, producing a record that honors 90s black metal tradition while embracing lo-fi warmth, melancholic melodies, sonic experimentation, and emotional candor. The result is a deeply personal statement - an album that is both an arrival and a continuation of his artistic journey.

You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To / Knocked Loose - VINYL - As Knocked Loose chipped away at what would become their third album, they felt the pressure from all sides. Internally, there was the need to challenge themselves as songwriters while retaining the merciless intensity and unflinching honesty that have always been their calling cards. Externally, there was a whole new set of eyes on the hard-touring Louisville quintet, following a banner year in which they'd brought their underground-seasoned sound to some of the world's biggest stages, finding themselves the unlikely viral darlings of both Coachella and Bonnaroo. The creative process was arduous, with the band writing close to 40 songs across a span of four years before locking in the 10 tracks that make up new LP You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To. But in the end, vocalist Bryan Garris, guitarists Isaac Hale and Nicko Calderon, bassist Kevin Otten, and drummer Kevin "Pac Sun" Kaine honed a diverse, cohesive, and savagely intense album that both sums up the massive strides they've taken during their decade as a band, and asserts their boundless potential going forward.
