During the 80s, Golden Earring was heavily influenced by electronic music. Bloody Buccaneers, released in 1991, was much more guitar-driven and the Earring sounded more self-assured than during the recordings of their previous albums. The fans embraced this sound and the album became a huge international success. The song "Going To The Run", about a Hell's Angel who tragically died in an accident, instantly became a Golden Earring classic. It remains a well-loved track among fans and is often regarded as one of the standout songs from the album. Bloody Buccaneers is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on translucent red vinyl and includes an insert. The record comes in a deluxe sleeve with leather laminate finish. LISTEN: https://www. They came from some of the most popular, if not polarizing hardcore bands of the early '90s (SHELTER, 108, RESSURECTION), but by the time Texas Is the Reason formed in 1994, a new aesthetic crystallized almost instantly and reduced it's members' previous efforts to history. Indeed, it was only a year later, when Revelation Records released the band's self- titled EP-their name derived from a lyric in the MISFITS song "Bullet"-that Texas Is the Reason were already headlining their own tours in America and well on their way to defining a new moment in post-punk.In April of 1996, the band reinforced that initial success with their first and only album, produced by JAWBOX's J. Robbins and named after the last words that John Lennon was alleged to have heard: Do You Know Who You Are? In the years since Spin, Alternative Press, and Paste would all go on to call Do You Know Who You Are? an essential '90s album. Unfortunately, after a year of heavy promotion and touring for the record, inner-band tension came to a head, and Texas Is the Reason officially split in 1997. It's members would go on to play in JETS TO BRAZIL, NEW END ORIGINAL, ATLANTIC/PACIFIC and THURSDAY.Since then, the band had only reunited in 2006 for two sold-out shows in New York, again in 2012 for sold out shows in both NY and LA. Now the band is playing shows again with lots more planned. Newer generations of bands like SPITALFIELD, INTO IT. OVER IT., TRANSIT, and STEPHEN BRODSKY (of CAVE IN) have covered Texas Is the Reason songs over the years, and even now- marquee acts like DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, TAKING BACK SUNDAY, and FALL OUT BOY have all publicly cited their influence.Texas Is the Reason Do You Know Who You Are?: TX30 Special Edition LP is the second of three releases to mark the 30th anniversary of the band and it's landmark album, Do You Know Who You Are?. The original recording, produced by J. Robbins and mastered by Vlado Meller has been cut using the current direct to metal mastering for a clear, loud rendering of the album. The package includes an eight-page booklet with many photos never published before. These TX30 Special Edition pressings will chart the band's three chronological stages across three intentionally-prepared 12-inch records-from their earliest recordings to their debut album to the band's final three songs, written for and originally conceived as the beginning of a second album that was never completed before their 1997 breakup. Each release will include expanded art and booklets featuring never-before-seen photos, flyers, and other means of telling the band's story. The three releases will be joined by specially designed obi strips, devised to create a visually cohesive set.

Pulling influence from acts like Title Fight, The Replacements, and Anxious, 3 Dollars have created a post-emo punk sound that lends to the new generation of New Jersey bands. 50 years together. 20 million records sold. More than 15 albums of guitar-driven southern rock stacked high with hits like "Hold On Loosely," "Caught Up In You," "If I'd Been the One," "Back Where You Belong," and "Second Chance." 38 Special is proof that there's strength in numbers. Milestone marks 38 Special's first studio record in more than 20 years, and it showcases the group's platinum-selling blend of muscle and melody, snarling guitars, anthemic hooks, and the desire to break new ground. There are co-writes with Jim Peterik (Survivor) and Randy Bachman (Bachman-Turner Overdrive, The Guess Who), duets with vocalist Pat Monahan (Train), and performances from a group of resilient road warriors who still play 100 shows annually. Written between tour dates and recorded during a series of live-in-the-studio performances, Milestone is a snapshot of a band in motion, flying the flag for an enduring form of classic rock & roll that never dies.

Acclaimed as a "melodic thrash-fest" that found the band "as vital as ever" by AllMusic and earning 4.5/5 from Sputnikmusic, the record showcases the fearless honesty of frontman Kevin Seconds and the band's unwavering ability to turn every chorus into an anthemic call to action. Moving beyond typical tropes, standout tracks like "Panic Attack" tackle personal anxiety and the reality of aging with rare transparency. From the breakneck opening of "All Came Undone" to the self-aware defiance of "Y.P.H. (Your Parent's Hardcore)," Take It Back, Take It On, Take It Over! Is essential 7 Seconds-raw, real, and a barbed wire bridge between the hardcore scene the band helped build and the 21st-century punk they inspired.

Limited turquoise colored vinyl LP pressing. Get Over it, Underdog is an 11 song collection about the duality of the American underdog. The characters within these tunes are exotic dancers, cringe white guys, historic world explorers, ultra wealthy people playing God, baby Jesus, eccentric women who have done life their own way, and dreamers. The album is a rich tapestry that weaves together all of these tales into one enchanting piece. Through the lyrics in these songs we learn how the underdog character can embody any of the best and/or worst characteristics of humanity. The underdog may be a noble hero or an evil villain either of whom is able to pull off surprising or unexpected victories which good or bad in nature can often times lead to an underdog's ultimate downfall. Each song takes an honest look at what it means to be some kind of underdog all coming from a songwriter who has been called an underdog by others and who has at times identified himself in this way only to realize that in the end, every human being contains multitudes beyond the limited capacity we have to observe and truly know ourselves and each other. LA musician Aaron MF Olson is a man of many bands and hats; he wears his "Songs Album" sombrero when writing/playing/producing songs for singing and music for listening. On his second collection, Aaron's polymath mastery of the music traces through multitudes of pop feels, ambling from introspective to satiric to love-lorn to sceptic to true devotion. In every song! Through her work across five Vastum albums, Leila Abdul-Rauf has been a sonorous contributor to 20 Buck Spin's discography for more than fifteen years now. Concurrent to that she's also amassed an impressive body of solo work whereby she could showcase the full range of her multi-instrumental artistic and vocal talents. We now bring that part of Leila's output to 20 Buck Spin showcasing her darkest and most confrontational material to date with new album Andros Insidium. On Andros Insidium Leila draws us into a ceremonial descent, through the architecture of shadow itself. Unfolding like a ritual text etched in obsidian, each movement traces the violent and sacred geometry of transformation. The presence and wisdom of the feminine divine looms throughout, as an ancient and uncompromising force, in conflict with everything buried, exiled and made monstrous by the machinery of societal pressures and unrealistic expectations. The album delves deep into the dark vastness of the psyche of woman: wild, ugly, vulnerable and powerful.Sonically Andros Insidium is a mutation of the cinematic dark-ambient, industrial and ritual folk expressed in prior releases, now sharpened into something far darker, more narrative and intimate. Leila's vocal work becomes a new focus with a wider variety of styles and characters, exorcising the demons of patriarchal fragmentation and revenge fantasy as lived myth. In it's most potent moments, Andros Insidium suggests that wholeness is not purity or light, but the terrifying act of reclaiming everything that was discarded, and learning to speak with it's voice.
