WARNING! WARNING! This is an emergency announcement going out to the entire Aggro-Nation and the entire world: The Aggrolites are BACK with their all-new LP Super Atomic on Pirates Press Records! With their famously tight playing thus sharpened to a razor's edge from touring, the band entered the studio for the long-awaited follow up to their beloved comeback record bigger and more intentional than ever, and armed with lyrics balancing grit and uplift, weight and light. The band pushed each other creatively. Recording felt less like experimentation and more like execution. Every part had to earn it's place. The songs were written to hit hard live - that energy guided everything. "We trust the groove," remarks Jesse. "That's always been our compass." Sonically, Super Atomic leans into high-energy grooves while still leaving space for melody and hooks. The band approached this record with more clarity and confidence than ever before. Reissue of the 1976 historic collaboration between producer instrumentalist Augustus Pablo and dub engineer King Tubby."If you had to pick one album that best represents the pinnacle of the art of dub, you'd cull the candidates down pretty quickly to ten or 12, and it would get very difficult after that. Few would fault you for ending up with this one, though, which stands as perhaps the finest collaboration between two of instrumental reggae's leading lights: producer and melodica player Augustus Pablo and legendary dub pioneer King Tubby. Among other gems, this album offers it's title track - a dub version of Jacob Miller's 'Baby I Love You So'- which is widely regarded as the finest example of dub ever recorded. But the rest of the album is hardly less impressive. 'Each One Dub', another cut on a Jacob Miller rhythm, possesses the same dark and mystical ambience, if not quite the same emotional energy, as 'King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown,' and the version of the epochal 'Satta Massaganna' that closes the album is another solid winner. Pablo's trademark 'Far East' sound (characterized by minor keys and prominent melodica lines) is predominant throughout, and is treated with care and grace by King Tubby, who has rarely sounded more inspired in his studio manipulations than he does here. Absolutely essential." -Rick Anderson, All Music

Burnin' is the Wailers' sixth album, released in October 1973. All three members of the band - Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer (the last time before Tosh and Bunny departed for solo careers and the band became known as Bob Marley & The Wailers) - wrote for, recorded and produced the album in Jamaica. Burnin' promoted the Wailers into international fame, led by the classic hits 'I Shot The Sheriff' (a subsequent U.S. No. 1 for Eric Clapton) and the enduring anthem of people power, adopted by civil rights activists worldwide 'Get Up, Stand Up.'Burnin' was, to some degree, a summary of the Wailers' progress to this point. An album full of revolutionary fire and fervor, it was also the last, heroic distillation of a lineup that had taken the teenaged Wailer, Tosh, and Marley on a journey from the streets of Trenchtown to the brink of global stardom.Although a 'new' act in Britain and America, the Wailers had been singing and recording together since 1963, and could boast a plentiful catalog of songs which were largely unknown outside Jamaica. Several of the tracks on Burnin' were re-recordings of songs that had been released before. 'Put It On,' a gentle, spiritual groove with the more emollient chant of 'Lord I Thank You,' had been released as a single on the Studio One label in Jamaica in 1965, when it was one of the first songs to coin the word 'toasting' to refer to the lyrical style of chanting by the dancehall DJs. Likewise 'Duppy Conqueror' and 'Small Axe' were both new recordings of songs that were old favorites in the Wailers' story. From Burnin' forward it would be Bob Marley who was very much the man in charge.Flawless is the only way to describe these limited edition 180-gram vinyl reissues. Natty Dread, the seventh album by Bob Marley & The Wailers, released in 1974, was Marley's first recorded without Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer as the Wailers. Natty Dread was most popularly received in the U.K., where it peaked at No. 43 and sold in excess of 100,000 copies, making it a gold album. Over time it gained popularity in other parts of the world, and in 2003 it was ranked No. 181 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.Natty Dread was a pivotal album in Bob Marley's discography, embodying the spirit of Rastafarian culture and the socio-political landscape of Jamaica during that era. It's key track 'No Woman, No Cry' not only became one of Marley's most famous and most-covered songs, it served as a powerful anthem of resilience and hope, capturing the struggles and joys of everyday life in the ghetto.Natty Dread propelled Marley to international fame and acclaim and established his worldwide reputation. Today, Natty Dread is considered Marley's finest album, the ultimate reggae recording of all time.Flawless is the only way to describe these limited edition 180-gram vinyl reissues. - 2LP 140-gram vinyl come in a gatefold sleeve - Including the ORIGINAL versions of Bob Marley's most cherished songs- Featuring nine of Rolling Stone's Top 50 Marley songs of all time- Essay by Dean Rudland (Acid Jazz)- 2 printed inner sleeves featuring previously unpublished photographs. BOB MARLEY is one of those artists for whom it is impossible to divorce their cultural impact from their musical achievement. Marley became the first music superstar from outside the UK or US, his success reached nations that other rock stars didn't, he was truly international, as big in Lagos or Harare as he was in London or New York. As the 1970s dawned The Wailers were finding their way in the musical world and at least part of their work was formed from one of the essential collaborations in Jamaican music. These recordings saw The Wailers working with Lee Perry and the music that they created forms the basis of our unique compilation that made hits and music as vital as anything that would follow. Looking at the history of the music industry in the last 40 years, stardom has internationalised. No longer will an artist's success be restricted to the United States, Europe and Australasia. Beyonce, Kanye West et al are known wherever there is an internet connection. Yet superstars still largely come from the U. S. , and Bob Marley stands out as the only musical star of his magnitude to have emerged from Jamaica, a country whose per capita musical output dwarfs almost anywhere else in the world. He was a unique talent whose music continues to reverberate.

Dennis Brown's Deep Down celebrates it's 50th anniversary with it's first-ever official reissue - a long-awaited return of one of his most treasured and elusive albums, originally released in 1976 on Niney the Observer's imprint. Remastered using analogue machines, this edition restores the warmth, grit, and vitality that define the golden age of roots reggae.Pressed on a special ultra gold vinyl, this anniversary release celebrates the deep tones and pure soul that made Dennis Brown a true alternative to Bob Marley and The Wailers. While Marley carried reggae's revolutionary fire, Brown brought a more romantic and spiritual touch - a sound that would help define what the world now knows as Lover's Rock.By the time Deep Down appeared, Dennis Brown had parted ways with Trojan and was working with producer Winston "Niney the Observer" Holness, a partnership that produced some of the greatest roots reggae ever recorded. Capturing Brown in full creative bloom, the album blends devotional roots messages, soulful vocals, and early hints of dancehall energy. His voice moves effortlessly through the ska-paced 'Travelling Man', the funk-edged 'Open the Gate', and the gospel-tinged 'God Bless Our Soul', while 'Tribulation' and' Shame' reveal the emotional depth that made him one of reggae's most beloved singers.Never released worldwide, the album became one of his most sought-after and collectible recordings.

Shark Belly Motel is more than just an album title for The Elovaters and their quickly growing fanbase, it represents a communal state of mind. A metaphysical destination where listeners can transcend the doldrums of everyday life and lose themselves in the rhythms and melodies of the songs. So it's telling that their music has also found followers among the fanbases of iconic legends like Jack Johnson, Jimmy Buffett and followers of Kenny Chesney's "No Shoes Radio" on SiriusXM. It's a place that lead singer and songwriter Jackson Wetherebee and his bandmates have been working towards with their art from the early days playing dive bars in Boston, and continue to strive for today, even as they sell out storied venues like Red Rocks and draw tens of thousands of fans to their shows across the country.
