Burnin' is the Wailers' sixth album, released in October 1973. Cedric 'i'm' Brooks' United Africa has achieved cult status amongst reggae fans since it's original release in 1978. Rightly so, the album is a sublime mixture of classic 70s reggae, afro beat and funk. This musically rich album is a varied set with some of Jamaica's top musicians including pioneering Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen. This seven track set with extended mixes and has been re-mastered for Pressure Sounds. Brooks is a product of The Alpha Boys school in Kingston Jamaica. His first recordings were with The Vagabonds and The Granville Williams Band, and sis first solo records were for Studio One with trumpeter David Madden and released as 'I'm and David'. In 1970 he connected with Count Ossie and was part of the 'The Mystic Revelation of Rastafari' where Cedric played Saxophone, Flute and arranged the horn section. He developed a wide musical influence moving between the USA and Africa where he performed in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.

Released in 1993 and never reissued on vinyl since, this album was recorded at Music Works Recording Studio, which was renamed that same year Anchor Recording Studio, well known among reggae enthusiasts. It was produced by Doctor Dead and mixed at the prestigious Lion & Fox Recording Studio, the American base of the RAS Records label.The line-up is impeccable, featuring of course Flabba Holt on bass, Tee Bird on keyboards, Dwight Pinkney on guitar, and Sky Juice on percussion-in short, the full Roots Radics line-up.As usual, Skelly, Wiss, and Apple take turns singing lead while the other two enhance the vocals with high-pitched melodic harmonies.In a Roots Rock Reggae vein, this album is a cornerstone of the group's discography, which we are pleased to present to you remastered, with a sound it had never been given before. The 180g vinyl pressing, glossy finish, and 350g sleeve make it a choice piece for all lovers of quality Roots reggae.

Israel Vibration are a reggae harmony group, originating from Kingston, Jamaica. Lascelle "Wiss" Bulgin, Albert "Apple Gabriel" Craig, and Cecil "Skelly" Spence all contracted childhood polio, and went on to be a Jamaican roots reggae group in the 1970s. The trio initially met as children at a rehabilitation center.
