David Norland is an Emmy-nominated English composer, known for his scores for drama and documentary, alongside his experimental choral and electronic music. Bringing stories to life through sound, he received critical acclaim for his debut solo album 'Glam Tear Stain' (2019) and is set to release follow-up album 'La Source' in June 2026 via Denovali Records. Relocated back to his London home after many years in Los Angeles, and free from years of drug and alcohol problems, recent commissions for two choral works allowed Norland to return to the innocent origin of his musical world, and his experience as a parent prompted a lot of outward reflection. What kind of world are we leaving to our children? From the haunting, choral beauty of 'E-Car Soul' to the breezy album title track, Norland blends minimalist classical structures with electronics. A unified tapestry of blended voices, harmonies and textures, 'La Source' is a deeply emotional and melancholic journey for Norland. 'In the end, I'm looking to find meaning through the music, like when I was a kid singing in choirs. But I get the most sense of meaning through transcendent experiences, rather than anything intellectual or dogmatic. I have to feel it, not think it. I'm trying to make work that's luminous, wondrous, shimmering and strange, so I can keep having those experiences,' says Norland. David Norland is an Emmy-nominated English composer who blends minimalist classical structures with electronics. Previous works: Score for Anvil! The Story Of Anvil (2008), directed by Sacha Gervasi. Music supervisor for Hitchcock (2012) featuring Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren & Scarlett Johansson. Score for November Criminals (2017) starring Chloe Moretz and Ansel Elgort. Score for Emmy-nominated HBO ?lm My Dinner With Herve (2018), starring Peter Dinklage and Jamie Dornan.

Two iconic masterpieces of the twentieth century come together on this exceptional release that will be available on vinyl and digitally: Joaquin Rodrigo's ""Concierto de Aranjuez"" and Maurice Ravel's ""Bolero"".Recorded at Valencia's renowned Palau de la Música, the album combines a live performance of Rodrigo's celebrated guitar concerto and the rarely heard ""Tiento Antiguo"" (June 2024) with a studio recording of Ravel's mesmerizing Bolero (February 2026). Together, these works reveal two distinct yet complementary visions of musical Spain, viewed through the lenses of one of Spain's greatest composers and one of France's most brilliant orchestrators. At the center of the recording is acclaimed Croatian guitarist Ana Vidovic, whose artistry, technical mastery and expressive depth have made her one of the leading guitarists of her generation. She is joined by the Orquesta de Valencia under the direction of Alexander Liebreich, whose dynamic leadership has further strengthened the orchestra's position among Spain's leading symphonic ensembles. From the poetic lyricism and emotional intensity of Concierto de Aranjuez to the irresistible rhythmic momentum and dazzling orchestral colors of Bolero, this release captures music of enduring beauty, passion and brilliance. Per il Luigi is the 17th volume of the complete Haydn 2032 collection and presents a number of Haydn's earliest symphonies; these had been composed to display the talent of the musicians who had joined the Esterhazy court orchestra during the same period as Haydn himself. The centre of the programme is the Symphony No. 13 in D major from 1763, whose orchestration includes four horns and whose final movement features a prefiguration of the famous theme of Mozart's 'Jupiter' symphony, to be composed twenty-five years later. The Violin Concerto in C major is marked fatto per il Luigi in Haydn's catalogue of works and was dedicated to Luigi Tomasini (1741-1808), a violin virtuoso born in Pesaro and a friend of Haydn. Two centuries later, the young Baroque violin virtuoso Dmitri Smirnov now brilliantly champions this repertoire with the Kammerorchester Basel under Giovanni Antonini. With The Length Between Dusk and Dawn in Minutes, Swedish pianist and composer Matti Bye presents a deeply atmospheric album between ambient piano, modern classical music and cinematic minimalism. Across twelve intimate movements, Bye explores the fragile space between night and morning, where silence, memory and emotion slowly unfold. Delicate piano motifs, subtle harmonies and organic textures create a poetic sound world that feels both timeless and immediate. Melancholic, tender and quietly immersive, the album invites listeners into a suspended moment of reflection - a musical twilight shaped by sensitivity, restraint and emotional depth. The music of composer and pianist Nicolas Worms (born in 1993 in Paris) is a space where contradictory times and places converge. He develops the concept of 'music-fiction', as in the series FLOT, released by Alpha Classics in 2024. This new album arose from the ""simple yet dizzying need to summon the unknown within me. What can I draw from my heritage and my keyboards?' says Worms. With four of them - the grand piano, the CP-70 electric piano, the Prophet-V analogue synthesiser and the modular system - he embarks on a grand investigation and uses his instruments as 'pieces of evidence'. L'Enquete comprises four parts and a coda. Some pieces are written in the style of a toccata or a nocturne. Others are improvised, more melodic, and others still more abstract as in any investigation, it is a matter of changing perspective, retracing one's steps, and allowing oneself to be surprised. The latest release by the two classically trained brass musicians/composers Aaron Messing and Anni Hochhalter, Recall, Recall, is an overflowing menagerie of sounds and melodies featuring textured injections of trumpet and French horn, with some voice, guitar, drums, and sensory percussion giving the whole a unique sound. Aaron Messing is a composer, arranger, producer, and trumpet player, and Anni Hochhalter is a founding member and French horn player of classical chamber ensemble WindSync. In substance, the album slips from dimension to dimension within and between songs as though traversing the contours of a calabi-yau manifold - heady and quirky like a Terry Gilliam cut-out animation but grounded in a Herman Hesse-esque spirituality. Each song encompasses it's own singular world, tethered to the next by the brass and the unique contours of the voices of Hochhalter and Messing. Beethoven's Seventh Symphony emerged at a biographical crossroads, between his definitive establishment as a leading composer and the onset of increasing isolation caused by his advancing deafness. At the time of it's premiere, it was the second-longest symphony ever written, surpassed in scale only by Beethoven's own Third, the 'Eroica.' Since it's first performance in 1813, there has never been a period in which it was not counted to the composer's most popular works.Since 2025, Francois-Xavier Roth-who had already served as Chief Conductor of the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg from 2011 to 2016-has been Chief Conductor of the SWR Symphony Orchestra. A musical visionary and remarkably versatile conductor, Roth has recorded and released all of Richard Strauss's tone poems, the ballets of Igor Stravinsky, the orchestral works of Ravel and Berlioz, as well as the complete symphonies of Bruckner, Mahler, and Schumann. With the present recording, Roth and the SWR Symphony Orchestra set a highly musical opening marker for a collaboration that promises to continue with great momentum in the years ahead. Softenings for 7 Flutes (2024) is a work by Niels Lyhne Løkkegaard, commissioned and premiered by the Icelandic flute ensemble viibra.
