Formed in 1984, Messiah played a major role in the development of thrash and death metal in Switzerland. They released two groundbreaking albums on Chainsaw Murder Records: Hymn To Abramelin in 1986 and Extreme Cold Weather in 1987. In the early nineties, Messiah signed a contract with Karl Walterbach's label Noise Records, on which three more albums were released: Choir Of Horrors (1991), Rotten Perish (1992), and Underground (1994). Many consider Choir Of Horrors to be the highlight of Messiah's work. This 35th Anniversary edition includes live recordings (Switzerland 1992, Erlangen and Berlin 1993) as well as the album's pre-production, including the unreleased track "Indecent Assault Of The Tribe."

Mindless Sinner began as Purple Haze in 1981. They changed their name to Genocide after singer Christer Göransson joined the band later that year, and by August of 1983, the had reached their final moniker. They recorded a four-track demo entitled Master Of Evil, consisting of: the title track, "Broken Freedom," "Key Of Fortune," and "Screaming For Mercy". This attracted Swedish label Fingerprint Records, who released the NWOBHM-inspired material as a mini-album in January of 1984, but with an awful cover and a typo in the band name that incorrectly pluralized sinner. By then, the line-up of the band was Anders Karlsson (bass), Magnus Danneblad (guitar), Jerker Edman (guitar), Tommy Johansson (drums) and Christer Göransson (vocals). In addition to the four tracks of the original release, this High Roller Records reissue pressing also contains the five songs off the band's first demo tape from early 1983. All nine tracks were mastered by Patrick W. Engel at his Temple Of Disharmony and cutting was done by SST Germany on Neumann machines for maximum quality on all levels. This is the ultimate audiophile re-issue of this Swedish metal classic.

2026 repress. Original 2016 blurb: An epic conceptual exploration, Yodh finds Mizmor at it's most focused state to date. Over the course of the 60+ minute, five-track album Mizmor takes the listener to a place entirely new for the band. The album is an impassioned struggle with the nature of survival - why humankind continually chooses life each day in the face of adversity, pain, depression, and suffering. Yodh is also elevated in it's display of Mizmor's most fully realized sonic experience. The album was recorded by A.L.N. himself, meticulously mixed by Sonny DiPerri, and mastered by Adam Gonsalves. This creative team pushes the sonic limits further than any previous Mizmor material in order to present a finished audio product suitable for such demanding themes. The result is simply brutal, harrowing and overwhelming blackened doom that surges with pure energy. This album will be presented as a gatefold 2LP by Gilead Media, and as a self-released cassette edition. Both formats will feature packaging graced with four incredible works by painter Zdzislaw Beksinski, licensed and scanned directly from the paintings themselves in Poland.

Having dreams can sustain you - give you something to believe in - but the weight of expectation, the burden of reality can also mean that such dreams can become oppressive; they can just as easily shatter you. Denmark's MØL explore the dichotomy of such dreams on their latest album, Dreamcrush, via Nuclear Blast. Informed by a series of disparate life events, the eleven tracks that make up the album are a tapestry of emotions, stitched together with threads of experiences that criss-cross over time and place. MØL offer the opportunity to worship at whatever psychic temple resonates the most. Drawing influence from the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins and The Smashing Pumpkins, MØL pull a gossamer veil over their sharpest, most jagged edges whilst channeling big alt-rock hooks. Steeping even their most aggressive moment in melody creates an emotional dynamic that is the post-rock foundation for their most explosive sonic expressions to date. In amongst clouds of unfathomable loss and grief, Dreamcrush offers rays of almost unbearable hope - the option to keep on dreaming despite ourselves

For well over a decade, MONOLORD have caused mass riff hypnosis with longform epics steeped in repetition, volume, and heaviness. One of heavy music’s most consistent and beloved bands, MONOLORD are gearing up for their next chapter with a new album titled Neverending. In looking for a new take on the genre, MONOLORD approached the legendary producer Sylvia Massy, known for her work with Tool, System of a Down, and Johnny Cash, among many more. The payoff from this new process is undeniable. Neverending feels like the culmination of 13 years of heavy, molten music, with a keen eye towards creating a sharper album. “The recording of this album is an example of the spirit of MONOLORD’s camaraderie,†says bassist Mika Häkki. “We’ve looked back and seen for the first time how much we have done as a band collectively, and realized what an intense 13 years it has been.â€"The lyrics on this album are more personal than before because I went through some major life changes in the last couple of years,†guitarist/vocalist Thomas Jäger says. “I usually write about religion and how people are superstitious, but this record is more about relationships between people. But it’s not all about me. Sometimes I’m writing from another person’s perspective.â€Neverending’s lead single “You Bastard†offers listeners a sharp contrast: A propulsive groove offset by lyrics about suicide. There’s two sides to suicide,†Jäger points out. “There’s the person who commits suicide and the people who gets left behind...The choruses represent the person left behind, and that person is calling the other a bastard—but it’s not pointing fingers or saying, ‘You suck.’ It’s more like, ‘You left me here with all the bullshit.’ It’s an understanding that life is not easy."Though it might not be immediately obvious, album opener “Iodine†was inspired by 70's rock epics like Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird,†The Eagles’ “Hotel California,†and Led Zeppelin’s “No Quarter." Elsewhere, album closer “It’s Neverending†is the first MONOLORD song that Jäger doesn’t sing on. Instead, the death-metal style vocals are performed by former Entombed bassist Jörgen Sandström, (also of Grave, Domedagen and Firespawn.)13 years on, MONOLORD’s path takes a new turn, and Neverending becomes the band’s most befitting album title. “It's been a wild ride and still is,†says drummer Esben Willems. “I've spent a quarter of my life in this band. Looking back, I'm incredibly proud of what we've accomplished along the way, and in many ways, this album feels like the essence of everything we've done so far. My mindset is the same it's always been, to be the absolute best the three of us can be.†*** Indie Exclusive ***UPC: 781676565511Label: RelapseRelease Date: 5.29.26Format: Vinyl

My mindset is the same it's always been, to be the absolute best the three of us can be.†UPC: 781676763214Label: RelapseRelease Date: 5.29.26Format: Vinyl
Moodring symbolizes transformation. The musical entity’s name hints at volatility—color, emotion, and temperature in flux. Nowhere is that more evident than in death fetish, a defining album for a haunting and defiant new chapter. For founder and frontman Hunter Young, this is more than a record. It’s survival, reflection, and metamorphosis. It is art made from the raw materials of pain, purpose, and persistence. Young conceived Moodring alone, in his bedroom, an exercise in catharsis through art. The resulting debut EP, 2021’s Showmetherealyou, resonated with a surprising number of diverse listeners. That connection inspired Moodring to evolve into a creative outlet that transcended its simple origins. Both sensual and suffocating, the Stargazer album followed in 2022. In a glowing review, Kerrang! praised the full-length as “hefty from the get-go” and likened it to “a cool wave of water lapping over you.” The album’s “vivacious” vocal work and vibe made new Moodring fans around the world. The following year’s EP, Your Light Fades Away, expanded the palette further, fusing ferocity, shimmering melody, and nü-metal groove into something equally cinematic and claustrophobic. The “black-velvet nu-metal melodies and bleak-booming breakdowns” (Revolver) of 2025’s “half-life” were, sadly, inspired by a life-changing medical diagnosis that left Young unable to tour with Moodring or his accomplished deathcore outfit, SharpTone Records labelmates PSYCHO-FRAME.
Unable to tour and unwilling to compromise, Young focused on writing and recording new music. death fetish is the sound of transcendence—an artist refusing to disappear, even as the light fades. For all its darkness, death fetish is not a surrender. It’s a reclamation. It’s Young taking back control of his narrative—body failing, mind racing, still creating, still here. “I just wanted to make a dark, honest record,” he says. “And if people don’t like it, I don’t really care. I had to do it for myself. ”Moodring, once a more traditional band, now exists as something far more elusive and infinite: a vessel for transformation, a mirror for mortality, and a living testament to pain and creation.

With their eighth studio album "Seed of the Formless", THE MOON AND THE NIGHTSPIRIT have reached a crossroads on their ever changing path. A deliberate and significant sonic mutation has created a leap in their stylistic evolution. While the Hungarian duo's deep roots in ethereal folk remain audible, "Seed of the Formless" marks their conscious journey into the heavier realms of atmospheric post-metal. The Hungarians' embrace of electric guitars and vast synth soundscapes to channel what they describe as a more cosmic and visceral energy, as compared to the whispering of forest and meadows in their musical past, makes perfect sense at this stage of their sonic evolution. As THE MOON AND THE NIGHTSPIRIT navigate the space between shadow and luminescence, the parallel contrast between the acoustic and the electric as well as their subsequent amalgamation, they unlock the gates to a vast realm of new possibilities. There will always be those who oppose any change, but as true artists THE MOON AND THE NIGHTSPIRIT acted on their need to evolve further. The result is "Seed of the Formless", which is drawing from atmospheric post-metal and ambient, while the duo's soul remains intact: mystical, yearning, and eternally bound to the infinite!

On July 3, 2026, MOONSPELL unveil "Far From God" via Napalm Records. Darker, sharper and emotionally unfiltered, the album stands as Gothic Metal in its purest form: romantic, dramatic and unapologetically heavy. The title track burns with tragic vampiric intensity, while “Cross Your Heart†or “The Great Wolf in the Sky†balance brooding melody, weight and epic scope. Produced by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Paradise Lost, Sólstafir, Ghost), the record reconnects with the band’s darkest essence. It's MOONSPELL’s Irreligious of the 21st century. A Gothic Metal hallelujah!

Swallowed By Hell arrives more than 30 years after Morbid Saint's second LP, Destruction System. The new music was created through a creative long-distance exchange, with all members bouncing ideas off each other to fire off ten extreme metal tracks. Absolutely devastating yet musically sophisticated, these new songs push the boundaries. Swallowed By Hell was recorded by Chris Djuricic (Num Skull, Disinter) at The Belle City Sound Company and given the finishing touches by Scott Elliott at Chernobyl Studios. The artwork is from the legendary Ed Repka (Death, Megadeth). It smells like old school, but has both feet firmly planted in the here and now.

Gatefold 180-gram black vinyl. In 2002, the American heavy metal band Mudvayne released their sophomore album The End Of All Things To Come, which expanded their sound with a more versatile range of sounds, dynamic, moods and vocalisation. The band wrote the album's songs in less than a month, drawing inspiration from their self-imposed isolation during the songwriting process, and crafted a more mature sound which drew from jazz and progressive rock influences, as well as elements of death metal and thrash metal. For the production, Mudvayne worked with three-time Grammy Award winner David Bottrill. The album spawned two singles: "Not Falling" and "World So Cold", which were both a commercial success and charted well.
