40th Anniversary Edition. Few bands captured the theatrical danger, speed, and raw electricity of mid-'80s American metal quite like Lizzy Borden. The Murderess Metal Road Show documents the band at a moment when everything was clicking-songs sharpened by the stage, performances fueled by chaos, and a reputation that was spreading fast through the Los Angeles metal underground.Recorded live at Chuck Landis' Country Club in Reseda, California on Friday, December 13, 1985, this album arrived astonishingly early in the band's career-just one EP and one studio album in. Instead of waiting years to issue a live release, Lizzy Borden chose to capture the intensity of their shows while the danger still felt real. The result is one of the most overlooked but essential live metal albums of the era.The set explodes out of the gate with "Council for the Cauldron, " instantly locking into fast, aggressive California metal driven by razor-sharp riffs and Lizzy's unmistakable voice-part Halford scream, part Dickinson drama, part pure menace. Tracks like "Warfare, " "No Time to Lose, " and "Psychopath" showcase a band firing on all cylinders, while the theatrical pairing of "Psychopath" into "Love You to Pieces" mirrors the band's infamous stage show, where shock, story, and performance were inseparable. The album also includes a blistering cover of Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die, " recorded years before Guns N' Roses made the song famous, as well as "(Wake Up) Time to Die, " inspired by the cult sci-fi classic Blade Runner. The show closes with "American Metal, " a song that would go on to become the most frequently performed track of Lizzy Borden's career-and the perfect anthem to end a live set built on volume, spectacle, and conviction. This Blood Moon Swirl edition presents The Murderess Metal Road Show as a deluxe 2-LP gatefold vinyl release, pressed in a striking Blood Moon Swirl colorway and limited to 400 copies worldwide. Featuring the full live performance across two LPs, this edition captures the raw power, theatrical intensity, and larger-than-life presence of Lizzy Borden at their mid-'80s peak. The audio has been mastered for vinyl by Rob Colwell (Helstar, Voivod, Lizzy Borden, Starwood), delivering power, clarity, and punch while preserving the raw live atmosphere. Officially licensed from Metal Blade Records, this marks the first time The Murderess Metal Road Show has ever been reissued on vinyl.Seventeen tracks are included in total, with tracks 16-17 being studio recordings, rounding out the release with added depth and historical context. A live document of Lizzy Borden in the band's theatrical prime-young, hungry, raw, aggressive, and unforgettable. This isn't nostalgia; it's the show.

LORD OF THE LOST bring their ambitious album trilogy to a brilliant finale with OPVS NOIR Vol. 3. A direct continuation of OPVS NOIR Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, which were both unveiled in 2025, it releases on April 10, 2026 and gloriously expands on the genre-defying band’s opus. The most out of the box of the three, the third and final part of their latest journey has the six-piece end this chapter of their career on a fulminant high note, intertwining heavy guitars and dark electronica with compassionate messages and cinematic orchestrals. Another 11 enchanting songs extend the Hamburg-based band’s colorful repertoire. Following the captivating BLOOD & GLITTER, which brought them to the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 and a #1 chart entry in their native Germany to go along with it, LORD OF THE LOST once again demonstrate their unmatched diversity. Initiated by beautiful cello melodies, “Kill The Lights” is an overture like no other, setting a dark mood, but also unafraid to switch it up to make room for catchy and reassuring “I’m A Diamond” featuring Alea, frontman of German medieval metal torchbearers SALTATIO MORTIS. “My Funeral”, despite the name, picks up the positive message, expanding the near-gothic soundscapes while sprinkling in tongue-in-cheek lyrics, promoting black as a happy color – wear pink to their funeral! Stomping “I Hate People” invites horror punk icon WEDNESDAY 13 to an industrial duet about equality, after which gentle “The Shadows Within” hits twice as hard with its symphonic arrangement. Next, Chris Harms and parting KISSIN’ DYNAMITE frontman Hannes Braun deliver the bombastic “La Vie Est Hell” (based on Charles Baudelaire’s influential book of poetry, “Les Fleurs du mal”) partly in French language, before going back to “Square One”. “When Did The Love Break?” is a heartfelt song of lost love – the addition of whimsical vocals by Ambre Vourvahis of XANDRIA drives the emotions of this universal topic right home. After “Your Love Is Colder Than Death”, LORD OF THE LOST team up with Damien Edwards of British glam rock band CATS IN SPACE for the captivating duet “Take Me Far Away”, before the album closes with a ballad, “The Days Of Our Lives” – the sweeping track simultaneously being the closest LORD OF THE LOST have ever been to a cinematic soundtrack. The happy ending is skipped, almost making it sound like a goodbye… OPVS NOIR Vol. 3 continues to walk LORD OF THE LOST’s unpredictable journey without settling for the familiar. Rounding off an impressive trilogy, this record takes you by the hand and guides you along your darkest paths. OPVS NOIR Vol. 3: the trilogy is finally concluded.

Songwriter and vocalist Peppi Marchello was the founder of the legendary Long Island hard rock/AOR outfit The Good Rats. The band amassed an enormous regional following but never managed to break through on a nationwide scale. By 1984, The Good Rats were history, and Peppi Marchello turned his attention to a solo album. Before long, Marchello teamed up with his son Gene, an up-and-coming guitarist in his own right. The project was initially intended to be called Popzarocca, but CBS Records felt it was wiser for Marchello senior to remain behind the scenes as songwriter and producer, placing the spotlight on Gene as the band's guitarist and vocalist. In March 1989, Marchello's debut album Destiny hit the shelves, combining high-quality AOR and melodic heavy rock with Gene's impressive fretboard skills. The song "First Love" was chosen as the lead single and received heavy rotation on MTV. Today, Destiny is widely regarded as a forgotten gem of the genre.

Hopeless Hopes is MARTYR's legendary debut full-length album. Originally self-released in 1997, Hopeless Hopes changed the landscape of the technical Death Metal scene. From the onset of Hopeless Hopes, MARTYR's penchant for creating intricate, meticulously written technical Death Metal is palpable. Tempo changes, melodic guitar leads, and dual harmonies are scattered throughout. Featuring band members aged between 17 and 23 at the time, Hopeless Hopes shines with creativity and exploration. It's no wonder that members here went on to play in other Canadian landmark bands such as Voivod, Gorguts, Despised Icon, and many more.Guitarists Daniel Mongrain and Pier-Luc Lampron present a tight and vicious guitar tandem. They inject loads of variation and subtleties in their riffs, moving from blistering speed attacks to mid-paced standard crunching effectively, giving the album great dynamics. Bassist Francois Mongrain shreds underneath it all. Drummer Francois Richard accompanies the band perfectly.Available on CD and vinyl for the first time in over 10 years, the classic debut is fully remixed and remastered.

On the legendary Warp Zone album, Canada's MARTYR created a unique atmosphere that constantly shifted between aggression and melancholy. The band's technical ability greatly aided their varied musical transitions and choices.Tempo changes are extremely common, and they unsettle while keeping things interesting. Dan and Francois Mongrain’s vocals shift from chant-like belting to the classic guttural death metal growl of the time. Lampron and Dan Mongrain's guitar work is impeccable here, and they effortlessly switch between quick, precise melodies and crushing riffs. Patrice Hamelin’s drumming has no trouble keeping up, and his primal, brutal sound often keeps the album grounded. Francois Mongrain’s bass work is rock-solid, and helps drive the tracks forward.Originally released in 2000, Warp Zone is available on CD and vinyl for the first time in over 10 years. The classic sophomore album is fully remixed and remastered.

MASTERPLAN / METALMORPHOSIS [Red Vinyl] Masterplan stands among the most enduring and influential names in German power metal. Founded in 2001 by guitarist Roland Grapow and drummer Uli Kusch following their exit from Helloween, the band quickly established a distinctive identity built on strong melodies, technical precision, and an epic yet modern metal approach. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2003, was met with widespread critical acclaim and immediate chart success, setting the standard for a career defined by consistency and evolution. Over the years, Masterplan have released several highly regarded albums - including Aeronautics, MK II, Time to Be King and Novum Initium - each showcasing refined songwriting and a powerful balance between classic power metal energy and progressive elements. Their work earned them international recognition, extensive touring across Europe and beyond, and industry accolades that confirmed their status as a leading force in the genre. After a prolonged hiatus from studio releases, Masterplan have re-emerged with renewed creative drive. The band recently signed a new worldwide deal with Frontiers Music SRL, marking a significant milestone and the beginning of a new chapter in their career. This partnership sets the stage for their long-awaited return with a brand-new studio album, Metalmorphosis, scheduled for release in May. Formed in 1987 in Carlsbad, New Mexico, Max Trixi arose from the ashes of several failed musical projects, to forge a distinctive sound that evolved from keyboard-driven hard rock to a raw, hard-hitting heavy metal edge. Originally comprised of Mike Lariviere, Java Valenzuela, Kathi Young, and Kenney Young, the band transitioned when Kathi took over lead vocals, steering Max Trixi toward a heavier, more dynamic style. Their early recordings, captured on cassette at Reese Lucas' local studio in Carlsbad and later at No Mountain Studios in Midland, Texas, showcased their fervent energy and dedication to their craft. In August 1990, Max Trixi relocated to Austin, Texas, chasing bigger opportunities in the city's vibrant music scene. Though financial constraints forced Mike and Java to depart after just six weeks, Kathi and Kenney persevered, recruiting bassist Jimmy Stewart and drummer Buzz Brument to complete the lineup. The revitalized band became a staple in Austin's iconic venues, delivering electrifying performances until their eventual breakup in late 1991.Now, decades later, Max Trixi are pleased to announce the vinyl release of their long-forgotten album "One More Try" originally recorded in late 1989/early 1990 and made available only on cassette. Thanks to advances in audio technology, these cherished recordings have been meticulously remastered to capture the band's gritty, soulful essence. "One More Try" is a testament to band's toughness, raw talent, and unyielding passion for music a nostalgic yet timeless collection that invites longtime fans and new listeners alike to experience their powerful sound.Coming soon on limited-edition vinyl, "One More Try" is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts of female-fronted heavy metal, and for anyone still searching for the authentic spirit of late '80s and early '90s metal. With their new opus Liturgy of Death, MAYHEM reaffirm their status as the most uncompromising force in Norwegian Black Metal. After four decades of extremity, the band has reached a new apex of darkness: faster, fiercer, and more sinister than anything in their recent catalog. The album unfolds as a relentless meditation on death in all its manifestations – existential, spiritual, and absolute. From the furious chaos of “Despair” and “Funeral of Existence” to the bleak grandeur of “Ephemeral Eternity” and “Aeon’s End”, each track drags the listener deeper into a ritual of misery and transcendence. “Propitious Death” and “The Sentence of Absolution intertwine brutality with ominous atmosphere, while “Life Is a Corpse You Drag” and “Sancta Mendacia” leave no doubt that Mayhem remain unmatched in channeling despair into sound. With Necrobutcher, Hellhammer, Attila, Teloch, and Ghul locked into a unit tighter than ever, Liturgy of Death presents a band not content to rest on legacy but determined to push the boundaries of extremity itself. The result is a merciless record – dark, fast, and unrelenting – that captures Mayhem in their most dangerous and vital form. Forty years since their birth in Langhus, MAYHEM continue to embody chaos, proving once more that Norwegian Black Metal is a force without end.

Megadeth storm back onto the scene with their 15th studio album, Dystopia. With musical architect and band visionary Dave Mustaine at the helm, Dystopia was recorded in Nashville, TN, and mixed by Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Gojira, Avenged Sevenfold). The rest of the Megadeth lineup is comprised of David 'Junior' Ellefson on bass, new member Kiko Loureiro (formerly of Angra) on guitar, and drummer Chris Adler, who took time away from Lamb of God to record Dystopia. The result marks a true return to form, adding new blood and injecting a new burst of creative energy into the new album.
