A vibrant and exuberant 1997 release from Richard D James aka Aphex Twin with two wildly different versions of the title track alongside a pair of high-tempo yet heartfelt electronic works. Vinyl LP pressing. Quite unlike anything else he's ever done, "Windowlicker" is perhaps the most accessible and dancefloor-friendly track Richard D James has ever created. A simple, gurgling riff paired with childishly sung vocals and thrown over straight-up 4/4 beats, groaning and developing, the bizarre sonics straining to burst through the shackles of form and expectation. "Formula" provides unexpected blasts of sound, lengthy breaks, explosive aspirates - it seems to escape and transcend this very plane of existence. "Nannou" is a chilling lullaby, minor-key themes that evoke thoughts of traditional melodies while percussion seemingly made out of household trappings ground it in the everyday.

A cold sermon for warm-blooded sinners, Blasphemy pairs Ras Kass' razor-edged theology with Apollo Brown's sepia-toned soul loops-an album that feels like scripture rewritten in graffiti and gunpowder. Brown constructs a chapel out of dust-scratched vinyl: ironclad drums, gospel fragments, horns that sound like they've survived too many winters. Over that cathedral of grit, Ras Kass steps in like a rogue prophet, dismantling mythologies with scholar-level precision and West Coast snarl. His verses slice through religion, race, politics, and personal apocalypse-part history lecture, part street-corner sermon, part heretic's prayer.Guest appearances-Pharoahe Monch, Royce da 5'9", Xzibit, and more-arrive like fellow priests of the unholy pulpit, sharpening the album's edges without stealing it's center. Blasphemy isn't built for passive listening; it demands engagement, rewinds, and maybe even a dictionary. But beneath the intellectual shrapnel is feeling, too: bruised pride, survival-mode clarity, the restless search for truth in a world addicted to lies. This is boom-bap as moral reckoning. A dusty-fingered gospel for those who don't trust institutions but still crave meaning. A record that questions everything yet stands solid in it's craft-Detroit drums welded to L.A. lyricism, both beating against the sanctimonious and the hypocritical with equal force.Blasphemy is not here to comfort you. It's here to wake you up.

Clouds is a 26 track project from Detroit producer Apollo Brown. While most have come to know Apollo's production for it's smash mouth, head nodding, grime, Clouds reveals another aspect of his production ability. This complex, mello instrumental album is ideal on a winter afternoon, or as a nightcap to the day. Each track is hypnotic and imaginative. Clouds is a 52 minute instrumental ride, a backdrop for reflection. UPC: 634457245846Label: Mello MusicRelease Date: 7.10.26Format: CD
On Clouds, Apollo Brown delivers one of the purest distillations of his signature sound-dusty drums, soul-soaked samples, and a heavy sense of atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and timeless. Released early in his catalog, Clouds plays less like a statement and more like a mood: introspective, unhurried, and quietly confident. The album floats between boom-bap tradition and cinematic soul, drawing from vinyl crackle, melancholy melodies, and head-nod tempos that reward close listening. Apollo Brown's beats don't rush the moment; they linger, letting emotion seep into every snare hit and chopped vocal fragment. There's a weight to the music, but also space-room to think, to drive, to sit with your own thoughts. What makes Clouds resonate years later is it's restraint. This is instrumental hip-hop that doesn't beg for attention or overwhelm with technique. Instead, it trusts feel and texture, proving that mood can be just as powerful as message. The record feels like weather rolling in-subtle at first, then unmistakable.Clouds stands as a foundational chapter in Apollo Brown's journey: a reminder that before the acclaim and collaborations, there was a producer deeply committed to craft, emotion, and the quiet power of a perfectly placed beat. Originally recorded and released in 1987, Chariots of Iron built upon Apostle's early demo (1984) and White Metal (1985) foundation with greater musical range (faster tempos and added classical elements), refined production, and lyrical depth.Distributed only through the underground tape network of the late '80s, the album revealed Apostle's growing sophistication and spiritual intensity. Tracks such as "Sword & Shield," "Lake of Fire," and "Lamb of God" combine melodic guitar work, anthemic choruses, and bold biblical imagery-calling listeners to perseverance and spiritual courage. The fiery, explosive heavy metal on Chariots of Iron reflects the armored tank artwork that adorns the cover of this reissue, while the message inside faithfully communicates the unconditional love of God for a broken world.Unavailable for decades and rarely heard outside small circles of collectors, Chariots of Iron now receives it's first official Vinyl release as part of the Retroactive Records Metal Icon Series. Limited to just 200 units. Remastered by Rob Colwell and featuring expanded packaging with contextual notes (12x12 full color insert), this release restores one of Christian metal's best-kept secrets-a powerful reminder of why Apostle's music continues to inspire believers and metal fans alike. For fans of Yngwie Malmsteen, Judas Priest, Sacred Warrior, Stryper, Messiah Prophet and Paradox!

Originally recorded in 1985 and released independently on cassette, White Metal captured Apostle at their most raw and determined. From the opening track, Apostle, showcasing Iron Maiden-esque galloping instrumental heavy metal, to the anthemic vocals of "Born Again," Apostle delivers with power, strength, and authority throughout. At a time when Christian metal was just beginning to find it's voice, Apostle stood out for their conviction and authenticity - playing everywhere from churches and youth centers to clubs and open-air festivals. The album's fiery guitar work and straight-ahead lyrics reflected the heart of guitarist and vocalist Matt Harding, who viewed heavy metal not as rebellion, but as a vehicle for redemption. This reissue brings White Metal to CD for the very first time, featuring the band's original 1984 demo EP as bonus tracks. Songs like "Overcomer," "The Teacher," and "He's the Power" showcase Apostle's earliest lineup and the unmistakable energy that would define their sound for decades. "Armageddon" is a must-hear iconic ripping guitar solo track in the vein of "Nagasaki" by Whitecross and "Eruption" by Van Halen!Fully remastered by Rob Colwell and restored with historical artwork and archival notes, White Metal is more than a reissue - it's the first official preservation of Apostle's origin story. Part of the exclusive Metal Icon Series collection, the CD comes packaged in a jewel case with an 8-page booklet including everything music collectors crave. Limited to just 500 copies. TRADITIONAL NOISE is April + VISTA’s debut album, it explores their formative influences ranging from Radiohead and Gorillaz to Satoshi Kon films, and survival-horror video games. The album is a multi-layered, amber-colored fossil passing down stories about the people and memories they hold dear; it’s an analog snapshot of the world from their vantage point and aims to serve as a proper introduction to who the band is creatively.SONICSThe album amplifies the grittiest elements defining the duo’s previous work while honoring sounds and textures reminiscent of the band’s distant childhood memories. It fuses genres like: downtempo, electronic, alt-rock, soul, and art pop; taking cues from the bands that raised them (Radiohead, Gorillaz, Gnarls Barkley, Grizzly Bear, Madlib, Portishead, Hiatus Kaiyote, Gustavo Cerati, etc.)The album has been mixed for spacial audio by immersive audio engineer Christopher Willits (Envelop/Ghostly) to provide a multidimensional listening experience.THEMESThe album explores April + VISTA’s relationship to themes like: nostalgia, tradition, memory, defiance, preservation, and ephemera. The goal is for listeners to feel immersed in a familiar yet ethereal world, one they may have visited before in a dream or in another life.

This January 17, 1980 performance, broadcast on European radio networks, captures April Wine during one of their biggest periods as a touring band. The set leans into the songs that made them radio staples, including "I Like to Rock, " "Roller, " and "Oowatanite, " along with deeper cuts and a live take on "21st Century Schizoid Man." Recorded during their late '70s run, it shows the band's straightforward rock sound and how it came across live.

ARBRE is a collective consisting of three focused musicians: Me'lusine Chappuis sings and plays keyboards, Paul Butscher sings, plays flugelhorn and keys, and Xavier Almeida plays drums. The three are constantly evolving, both individually and as a band, as their album history already documents. Their clear and airy sound is underpinned by clever grooves and compact interplay. Despite it's lightness, the music becomes dense, raw, intricate and touching. The fragility of the tracks and songs is given solid roots, anchored in the depths of the sea: they form a mysterious and precise ecosystem of sound and groove. The instrumentation carefully balances analogue and electronic elements. The vocals alternate between English and French, coming from two different places, both stylistically and emotionally. ARBRE's rhythms are multi-layered, and the melodies are clear and purposeful, with an indie pop flair. There is much to discover on ARBRE's third album, 'Wrap a Tear in Cellophane', it's cosmos being carefully developed by the band over a long period of time. Despite all it's energy, the music addresses human fragility and develops a precise yet relaxed, instinctive power. ARBRE does not present it's musical language as art for art's sake, but rather to convey a message: community and compassion are essential for coexistence on the planet. ARBRE works explicitly as a collective, in which all decisions, whether artistic or otherwise, are made jointly by all members. The decision to think and act together is an essential and consequential value that the three musicians consciously cultivate, demonstrating that making music together clearly transcends the individual and can unleash a greater power.
