Keith Sweat discovered this female trio (Athena Cage, Lavonn Battle, and Tabitha Duncan) from Atlanta, but Kut Klose had a lot more going for them than just being the protAgAs of a superstar. 1995as Surrender (their lone album) has become a real cult classic (or Kult Klassik, if you will), no doubt in part because songs like aoGet Up on Ita? and aoSexual Babya? are just plain steamy. But the production is tight, too, with the H.O.P. Productions team, Eric McCaine, and Fitzgerald Scott joining Sweat in laying down the sultry grooves. aoI Likea? was the hit, but the whole record just has that aoletas stay in for the nighta? vibe.
