The vinyl is a triple LP composed of 23 songs. Its cover and interior packaging feature paintings by Anderson.Laurie Anderson and Sexmob recorded this triple-LP/double-CD, Let X=X, during a 2023 tour. Sexmob features Steven Bernstein on brass, Briggan Krauss on saxophone and guitar, Tony Scherr on bass, Douglas Wieselman on winds and guitar, and Kenny Wollesen on drums and percussion. Its cover and interior packaging feature paintings by Anderson. The album features twenty-three songs, including many favorites from throughout Anderson’s career, performed in new arrangements—plus one by Lou Reed and Metallica, “Junior Dad.”Laurie Anderson is one of America’s most renowned—and daring—creative pioneers. Her work, which encompasses music, visual art, poetry, film, and photography, has challenged and delighted audiences around the world for more than forty years.Laurie Anderson was awarded the 2024 Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication, along with Christopher Nolan and David Attenborough, and the International Astronomical Union named a minor planet in her honor: Asteroid 270588, Laurieanderson. That same year, she was awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. The New York Times said Anderson and Sexmob’s concert at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) “wasn’t a historical recreation of past recordings; Sexmob’s sound is a beefier one than on Anderson’s albums. With musicians who can double on electric guitar and bass clarinet, its members offered a rich range of textural variation throughout the evening.”

Trading love songs for stories of community and escape, Tan Lines captures the feeling of wanting to be anywhere but stressed out, preferably on the beach with the people who know you best. London quartet The Leaf Library return with their bold new album After The Rain, Strange Seeds. A luminous collection of pastoral indiepop, drawing inspiration from suburban isolation, unreliable memories and the surreality of the weather. Their most immediate and melodic work to date, the richly evocative songs brim with chiming guitars, buzzing organs and warm, dulcet strings, evoking Yo La Tengo's more contemplative moments, The Clientele's autumnal jangle pop and early Stereolab's motorik melodicism. The sound of the album is defined by mixer John McEntire, whose work with Stereolab and Yo La Tengo (as well as a member of Tortoise/The Sea And Cake) have been major inspirations to the band. The album explores themes of memory and place, albeit through an abstract haze - returning again and again to specific moments frozen in time: midsummer bright hot days in the Chilterns ("Sun In My Room"), meteorology and the strange movement of the weather ("Colour Chant"), red kites circling over suburban motorways ("Some Circling"), and the uncanny feeling of dusk and nighttime creatures on "The Reader's Lamp" (titled by celebrated film director Peter Strickland). The lyrics are vivid yet elliptical, strung with abstract ideas and imagery, conjuring a gently unsettling, though never unwelcoming atmosphere. Not quite trusting your own recollection of things, while marvelling at the oddness of the natural world, the album's title a good summation of the mix of strangeness and hope contained within.

The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Page brought in Plant, Bonham and Jones to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut. Led Zeppelin redefined rock in the Seventies and for all time. They were as influential in that decade as the Beatles were in the prior one. Their impact extends to classic and alternative rockers alike. Lee is a gifted musician hailing from Clewiston, Florida, who first gained prominence in the 1990s as part of the hip-hop duo Straight Coffee For George with friend Antonio "T-Lyfe" Humphrey. He later formed The Square Egg, known for blending hip-hop, funk, jazz, and soul, earning recognition in Miami and New York. As a solo artist, Lee played renowned venues in New York and Buenos Aires, releasing albums like "Naked" (2010), "Reasons To Buy This Album" (2014), and "2+2=5" (2017). His 2022 album, "Maybe Now," was a lush musical journey influenced by his life in Argentina. His latest release, "The Reprieve," is his most ambitious to date - featuring a dizzying array of world-class musicians, performing majestic arrangements of Lee's unique, heartfelt compositions. One of the most beautifully arranged pieces from The Reprieve is the apocalyptic love song "Still" - that first captures the ear with it's lush, intoxicating rhythm, while delivering an underlying sentiment of love in the ruins, and love's ultimate survival. The EP presented here features four distinctly unique mixes of the track - and as a bonus, also includes the previously unreleased track, "12th Of Never," which is exclusive to this release.

After the passing of Lee "Scratch" Perry, a deluge of recordings appeared claiming to be the "final" project of the Jamaican icon. These came from musicians and producers from an incredible range of genres-trip hop, dub, ambient, rock, reggae. However, his last official album project took him to Berlin, Germany where he landed on the doorstop of electronic pioneers Mouse on Mars (aka Jan St. Werner and Andi Toma). If he was coming, which one of his personae would arrive? The Upsetter, Pipecock Jackxon, The Super Ape? Maybe Inspector Gadget?Behind these masks was Rainford Hugh Perry, often described as one of the single most important figures in the history of Jamaican music. Producer, engineer, label owner, performer, his impact traced ska to rocksteady to roots reggae, to sound systems, to dub, to Bob Marley and Junior Murvin and Max Romeo and The Congos and so many other legends. Generations passed through him and his ears. And beyond them his influence included punk, funk, electronic music, hip and trip hop as well as his own uncategorizable career as explorer of words, sounds and esoteric concepts.Mouse on Mars are recognized as one of Germany's most defining and versatile electronic music projects. Across more than 3 decades, they've released over 10 albums including Niun Niggung (1999) and Idiology (2001) - the former was declared the Album of the Year by The Wire - several EPs, and an imagined film score for Werner Herzog's Fata Morgana. They're also known for their work with Stereolab, Bon Iver, Tyondai Braxton, The National, Matthew Herbert, Modeselektor, Tortoise.Spatial, No Problem. Is the story of what Lee "Scratch" Perry left behind in Berlin in his encounter with Mouse on Mars. It's a story of spaces mixing, and cultures morphing towards a different kind of future.

Reissue of this 2002 compilation album from the ska-punk band. The release of Greetings And Salutations proves, this isn't a band content to rest on the laurels of past success. In fact, 2012 is more about pushing forward and breaking new ground, rather than contemplatively reflecting on the success of yesteryear. A constantly innovative force in the industry, DeMakes says the band has managed to stay around so long by staying true to themselves. "Twenty years of blood, sweat and beers," DeMakes says. "It's been a privilege and a pleasure. We have survived more trends than we can count and have managed, so far, to leave a legacy of music two decades long.

Seelie Court - the world's premier label for rare and previously unreleased archive recordings of underground folk, rock, proto-metal, and psychedelic music presents Esse Quam Videri. Lifeblud created a unique style of folk-inflected progressive rock acting as a serene vehicle for the poetic lyrics. An air of resignation is palpable in the delivery, as is a sense of awe in the face of Nature's majesty - especially in Oakenshade and the astonishingly beautiful hymn, Waxing of the Moon. These are Lifeblud's earliest surviving recordings, carefully restored from an excellent condition acetate in New Zealand, the other copy that still exists is in very poor condition, in an Austrian collection. Lifeblud made a second acetate LP also at Trusound (later SRT) in late 1970 which remains lost (if anyone has it, please contact us). Studio tapes from 1971 will be forthcoming as will a live recording, currently undergoing restoration. This later material includes songs from Lifeblud's heavier phase, which approaches High Tide territory.

Seelie Court - the world's premier label for rare and previously unreleased archive recordings of underground folk, rock, proto-metal, and psychedelic music presents a Lifeblud gig played on Sunday, November 7th 1971, at Bowes Lyon House, Stevenage, as support act to the band Stray. The gig was promoted by the London Colney-based Words agency run by promoter Barry Clarke. The source cassette was in the possession of drummer Charlie Chandler and was recorded on his Philips portable cassette recorder from a vantage point in the hall. The cassette bears the inscription 'Rob, Brian, Rog & Me, Sound - Scott, Recording - Dan', which confirms Lifeblud's line-up. Scott and Dan were roadie/luthier Gordon 'Scott' Adams and bassist friend Dan K. Brown, latterly of The Fixx. By this time, violinist Robin Williams' appearances with the band had become somewhat sporadic due to his orchestral and sessions commitments, and he was not present on this occasion. Bowes Lyon House (the word 'House' now replaced by 'Centre') had opened as a Youth and Community Centre in 1965, with a main hall big enough for live music and many well-known acts, including The Who on the cusp of stardom in June 1965, played there over the next three decades.

After Lifeblud's 1969-1972 period of poetic Progressive Rock, main man Roger Knott looked back into the Golden Age of Rock n Roll and between 1973-1978 created a group of songs heavily informed by the classic pop of the Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, The Beatles and with a tinge of British Psychedelic Pop. The 34 songs preserved on this Double CD were unreleased until now, and catch that brief moment of Pub Rock that quickly morphed into Punk. When Michael Knott released Poplife in 1991 on Blonde Vinyl Records, he dropped a sun-splashed curveball into the Christian alternative scene-equal parts surf-pop-punk, indie rock, and West Coast mischief. Poplife feels like a board waxed just enough to hold, but loose enough to wipe out with style: catchy, carefree on the surface, and quietly thoughtful underneath.Rather than chasing glossy production, the album rides a more immediate, lived-in sound-jangly guitars, punchy rhythms, and hooks that sneak up on you and refuse to paddle away. Knott's real gift is lyric writing that feels human and honest without ever getting preachy or cheesy. Standouts like "Jet Plane" (a lament for a stolen guitar), "Skate" (a protest with punk bite), and the endlessly quotable "Surf With God" capture a restless faith that's more about movement than monuments-less choir loft, more shoreline.Drums are handled in part by Steve Hindalong of The Choir, bringing drive, feel, and just the right amount of Polish, alongside contributions from Chuck Cummings. The result is an album that sounds like Southern California sunshine filtered through punk ethics-fun, fast, and unexpectedly sincere. This Legends Remastered CD reissue, the 35th Anniversary edition honors one of the defining albums from the Blonde Vinyl era. Released in cooperation with Robert Freeman, this reissue marks the definitive presentation of Poplife on compact disc, limited to 500 copies and newly remastered by J Powell at Steinhaus. Housed in a jewel case with a 16-page lyrics booklet, the release includes rare photos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes reflections. Highlights include an interview with Steve Hindalong recalling the recording sessions, memories from Blonde Vinyl's Christopher Rumbaugh sharing the backstory-and humor-behind the first-time bonus track "Nacho," and reflections from Blonde Vinyl artist Rod Roels, including stories about the album artwork and Michael Knott's original, unused cover concept. As the creative force behind Blonde Vinyl Records and a key figure connected to the earliest days of Tooth & Nail, Michael Knott's influence on Christian alternative music runs deep. Through Lifesavers, L.S. Underground, Aunt Betty's, and Cush, he helped prove that faith-filled music could be weird, joyful, irreverent, and artistically fearless.Poplife isn't a museum piece-it's a beach day captured on tape. Turn it up, roll the windows down, let the surf-punk hooks crash in, and remember: faith doesn't always wear a robe-sometimes it shows up in board shorts, sunburn, and a grin. For fans of L.S. Underground, Undercover, NOFX, Altar Boys, The Queers, Descendents, Lagwagon, Psychedelic Furs, The Beach Boys.

Vocalist and guitarist Chloe Howard says: “The album is about a night out, from start to finish. As the night progresses, you’re having a great time, until your ex walks in with someone else. You hate the way you look but rather than going home, you press the big red button and get even more drunk. Eventually, you take yourself home full of melancholy, chaos and anger.” Following their critically acclaimed 2024 debut One More Thing, which captured the raw live energy that earned them slots at festivals including Glastonbury and Green Man, Maybe Not Tonight sees Lime Garden expand their signature “wonk-pop” sound upwards and outwards. The result is their most intoxicating and luminous material to date.

Linda Perry’s “Let It Die Here” is a raw, spiritual reckoning, a journey through inherited pain, grief, and redemption. Across seventeen tracks that blend confessional poetry, cinematic rock, and vulnerable introspection, Perry confronts the ghosts of her past — mothers, lovers, and the darker corners of self.
The record moves from the streetlight confessions of “Balboa Park” to the searing surrender of “Let It Die Here,” culminating in “Albatross,” a release from the weight she has carried her whole life. It is an album about release, letting go of guilt, embracing imperfection, and finding beauty in survival.

Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future—embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life. It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead.

From Zero (Deluxe Edition) 2CD is a limited pressing. It features a 4-panel softpak packaging with 16-page booklet and two compact discs. - The physical release of From Zero (Deluxe Edition) showcases three new songs, five live tracks recorded around the world and all new, expanded packaging. - "Up From the Bottom" was created in between tours this year, infused with the electricity of those first shows back after a long hiatus. "Let You Fade" was a song that began during the From Zero sessions but found it's final shape in sessions after the album's release. "Unshatter" was an early track we made while recording From Zero; Emily's huge vocal in the bridge was one of the moments that gave us an indication of what was possible together. - We are so grateful for the incredible reception to From Zero. This new chapter, our continuing journey, and the connection between the band and fans has been more than we could've hoped for. Thank you for listening.

Papercuts is the first singles collection from innovative musical force Linkin Park. The career-spanning 20-track album compiles 18 essential anthems, plus the never-before-released track “Friendly Fire” recorded during the 2017 sessions for their seventh album One More Light and fan-favorite rarity “QWERTY”.Linkin Park were inspired to thoughtfully curate Papercuts by their fans’ passionate reception of the 20th Anniversary Editions of Hybrid Theory in 2020 and Meteora last year. That enthusiasm led to this comprehensive retrospective of the band’s journey so far in the span of one album.
