Daisy is a collection of memories. Moments of growth, moments where you're beaten down but get back up and all the little moments in between. It's both an acknowledgement to loved ones and a reflection of loss. Titled after Chris' family dogs Daisy and Marmite passed during the album's creation, Daisy is also a love letter to the animals in our lives that remain a rock through each of these moments that guide to who and where we're meant to be.Jaguar Sun is the solo project of Canadian multi-instrumentalist Chris Minielly. Based originally out of a small town in Southern Ontario, Minielly writes, records, and produces the bulk of Jaguar Sun's music himself - often described as dreamy, nostalgic, and emotionally evocative. Musically, Jaguar Sun blends elements of dream pop, indie-pop, and lo-fi folk, bringing together jangly guitars, hazy synths, layered instrumentation, and soft, wistful vocals.

As long as she can remember, Jane Remover has practiced her own autonomy as much as possible. The nineteen year old songwriter is an omnivorous listener that produces everything herself. She has been lauded by fans and writers alike, for accidentally creating entire genres in the wake of her prolific two-year run.Her debut album Frailty was written amidst the purgatorial summer after a high school graduation, en route to turning eighteen that September. The lyrics are a wayward coming-of-age diary of an LGBT+ teenager, stuck in the suburbs of a confusing, socio-politically turbulent America. Jane's words sting, but are shrouded in meticulous production; a sui generis vein of DIY rock. Simultaneously, it's steeped in the lo-bit, nostalgic synths that soundtrack a final glimpse of younger memories. The LP was warmly received: Album of the Year List placements from Pitchfork and TheNeedleDrop, glowing reception from Paste, Insider and FADER, and a widespread resonance from a young audience who consider the album cathartic and relatable.

From the moment she began writing her new album, Japanese Breakfast's Michelle Zauner knew that she wanted to call it Jubilee. After all, a jubilee is a celebration of the passage of time-a festival to usher in the hope of a new era in brilliant technicolor. Zauner's first two albums garnered acclaim for the way they grappled with anguish; Psychopomp was written as her mother underwent cancer treatment, while Soft Sounds From Another Planet took the grief she held from her mother's death and used it as a conduit to explore the cosmos. Now, at the start of a new decade, Japanese Breakfast is ready to fight for happiness, an all-too-scarce resource in our seemingly crumbling world. Jubilee finds Michelle Zauner embracing ambition and, with it, her boldest ideas and songs yet. Inspired by records like Bjork's Homogenic, Zauner delivers bigness throughout - big ideas, big textures, colors, sounds and feelings. At a time when virtually everything feels extreme, Jubilee sets it's sights on maximal joy, imagination, and exhilaration. It is, in Michelle Zauner's words, "a record about fighting to feel. I wanted to re-experience the pure, unadulterated joy of creation... The songs are about recalling the optimism of youth and applying it to adulthood. They're about making difficult choices, fighting ignominious impulses and honoring commitments, confronting the constant struggle we have with ourselves to be better people." Throughout Jubilee, Zauner pours her own life into the universe of each song to tell real stories, and allowing those universes, in turn, to fill in the details. Joy, change, evolution-these things take real time, and real effort. And Japanese Breakfast is here for it.

Japanese Breakfast's Soft Sounds From Another Planet is less of a concept album about space exploration so much as it is a mood board come to life. Over the course of 12 tracks, Michelle Zauner explores a sonic landscape of her own design, one that's big enough to contain her influences. There are songs on this album that recall the pathos of Roy Orbison's ballads, while others could soundtrack a cinematic drive down one of Blade Runner's endless skyways. Zauner's voice is capacious; one moment she's serenading the past, the next she's robotically narrating a love story over sleek monochrome, her lyrics more pointed and personal than ever before. While Psychopomp was a genre-spanning introduction to Japanese Breakfast, this visionary sophomore album launches the project to new heights.

With "Louder Than Fate", Jared James Nichols delivers his fourth studio album and easily his most powerful and fully realized statement to date. Raw, unapologetic, and deeply rooted in the lineage of blues-driven hard rock, the album captures an artist at the peak of his creative confidence, channeling grit, groove, and soul with relentless intensity. Produced and mixed by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour, Amon Amarth, Uriah Heep, Steel Panther etc.), "Louder Than Fate" balances muscle and melody, combining thunderous riffs, searing solos, and emotionally charged vocals with a modern, punchy production. The songs move effortlessly between hard-hitting rock anthems and more reflective, dynamic moments, showcasing Nichols' ability to fuse classic influences with a contemporary edge. Tracks like "Bending or Breaking" and "Killing Time" expand the sonic palette with subtle keyboards and cinematic string arrangements, adding depth without ever sacrificing power. JAYLER are a UK-based rock band channelling the raw spirit of ’60s and ’70s classic rock with a modern edge. Built on swaggering riffs, soulful vocals and a fearless live presence, their sound carries the weight of Led Zeppelin, the ambition of Queen, and the urgency of a new generation, without ever sounding like a throwback. At the core of JAYLER'S music is defiance and intent. These are songs for a generation that feels unheard, restless and hungry for something real. Fronted by the irrepressible James Bartholomew on vocals and guitar, alongside Tyler Arrowsmith on guitar, Ed Evans on drums, and Ricky Hodgkiss on bass and keyboards, JAYLER channel the core DNA of classic rock while forging something unmistakably their own. Lead single “Down Below” is an uptempo, dust-kicking vintage stomper, with Bartholomew’s vocals soaring and snarling before slipping effortlessly into harmonica-fuelled storyteller mode - playful, confident and full of attitude. “Need Your Love” arrives as a full-throttle rock anthem for a new generation, driven by a chorus built for big rooms and bigger voices. “The Getaway” crackles with raw rock ’n’ roll swagger, loud guitars and high-voltage momentum, while “Hate To See It End” barrels forward with a defiant, high-octane, go-for-it drive. At a time when so much in 2026 feels manufactured joy and chaos, love and hate alike... JAYLER sound refreshingly real.

Jean Turk journeyed to Sainted Albion in the early Seventies in answer to the call of Clapton's siren like guitar, paralleling the path of Martha Velez, and landing in Northampton where she jammed with many local musicians including the stellar guitarist Anthony Barford of underground band Axe. She also recorded at Spaceward Studios in Cambridge and with Steve Giles of the legendary band Dark at his SIS Studios. This release presents a cohesive set of raw heavy blues played live in Northampton in 1976, when Prog Rock was metamorphosing into early Metal. Further recordings exist in various states of disintegration which are being assessed for future release, including Studio Tapes featuring Anthony Barford on lead guitar, and perhaps her best work, some late 70s disco infused Funk-Prog that has only survived on Cassette Tapes.

Today, visionary artist Jesca Hoop announces her new album Long Wave Home due out via Last Laugh and available to preorder now. Staying true to her folk roots, though never purely, Hoop delivers strikingly original songwriting showcasing her innovative vocals augmented by imaginative arrangements. Long Wave Home is energized and rings with the promise of a fresh new chapter for the artist. To accompany today's announcement Hoop has shared the album's compelling first single, "Designer Citizen", alongside a charming video directed by James Slater. "When I was faced with the challenge of writing and recording a new album, I had the choice to stay where I was comfortable, under the sage guidance of a producer or to step out into the dark and produce it myself. It became clear that if I was going to grow in the craft, I needed to become my own lighthouse. So I made the commitment to take on the Producer role. There were a lot of sleepless nights. Writing Long Wave Home, though no less daunting, became a refuge for me-a place to explore interpersonal connections and the rise and fall of emotions that come with relationships. Writing an album can be very agitating, but it's a discomfort I am comfortable with. What a gift it is to spend my time examining my inner world, my relationships, and from it make music. Long Wave Home is not just a renewal of my commitment to the craft of writing and record-making-it's a vote of confidence and an investment in myself as an artist and authority over my vocation and life's path." - Jesca Hoop, January 2026

Hope and Fury is the new studio album by Grammy-winning artist Joe Jackson, written and recorded between Berlin and New York City. The album features nine new songs performed with Jackson’s longtime band – Graham Maby (bass), Teddy Kumpel (guitar), Doug Yowell (drums) – and Peruvian percussionist Paulo Stagnaro. Produced by Joe Jackson with Patrick Dillett, Hope and Fury marks a return to what Jackson calls his “own mainstream”: sophisticated pop songs drawing from rock, jazz, funk, and Latin influences – or, in his words, “Bicoastal LatinJazzFunkRock.” Opening track “Welcome to Burning-By-Sea” describes a fictional seaside town inspired Jackson’s hometown Portsmouth – a sharp portrait that becomes a microcosm of an entire country. “End of the Pier” contrasts British life in 1922 with its post-pandemic reflection a century later, while “I’m Not Sorry,” “Fabulous People,” and “Do Do Do” showcase Jackson’s trademark humour, from biting sarcasm to playful mockery. Other highlights include the bittersweet “Made God Laugh” and the tender closing ballad “See You In September.” Musically, Hope and Fury recalls the spirit of 1982’s Night and Day, 1991’s Laughter and Lust, and 2019’s Fool. Like those albums, it overflows with great tunes, clever lyrics, and groove – with Jackson’s vocals and keyboard playing as strong as ever.

“When a song comes, I make sure I don’t let it go by,” says Joe Pernice. Sunny, I Was Wrong, his first studio album of new material under his own name, was born during a period of concentrated inspiration and productivity. Songs were coming almost more quickly than he could get them down on tape, as though they’d been waiting to pounce at just the right time. With a little help from his friends, Pernice fashioned a handful of them into a beautiful refinement of all the qualities that have distinguished him as a songwriter over the years: his facility for aching melodies, his penchant for arrangements that nod to pop’s past without getting mired in nostalgia, and a deep empathy for the characters who inhabit his verses.Pernice has been catching songs for thirty years now, first with the alt-country legends Scud Mountain Boys and then with the indie-pop mainstays Pernice Brothers. In both of those groups he etched bittersweet stories out of songs that echo Jimmy Webb, Burt Bacharach, and Paul Williams. He’s the rare artist who can record a Barry Manilow covers album that doesn’t drip with condescension or irony. With Sunny, the album gradually came into focus—or at least an idea of an album. “I knew I wanted to make a studio record, and I knew I wanted to make a record. I didn’t want just a hodgepodge of tunes. I didn’t want to make a concept record, but I wanted something that needs to be heard from start to finish. I wanted it to be a destination. An event.” Sunny, I Was Wrong tallies up all of those things that do get away from us: friends and lovers we haven’t seen in decades, old promises broken, cherished dreams forgotten, best-laid plans unrealized.
