Just Like You (album number three if you're counting) finds Falling In frontman Ronnie Radke with no shortage of material to sing, scream and howl about. In the roughly two years since last album Fashionably Late, Radke lost a close family member (faced head-on with the tear-jerking album closing ballad, Brother), watched old friends succumb to old vices (first track Chemical Prisoner), and struggled with his lifelong search for meaning (God, If You Are Above... is as real as it gets) and personal redemption. But the playful innuendo that made hits of The Drug In Me Is You and Situations is back front and center in songs like Sexy Drug and the album s title track, with its over-the-top, hilariously brave refrain: I am aware that I am an a**hole!

MARK FARNER (of Grand Funk Railroad fame)REMASTERED CD RoxxRecords proudly partners with Meis Music to revive and celebrate Mark Farner's classic Frontline Records releases with two new reissues, Wake Up... (1989) and Some Kind of Wonderful (1991). Both albums are being remastered and released on CD. The albums are being mastered for vinyl by Rob Colwell (Brother Cane, King's X, Sixpence None The Richer).Mark Farner began his musical career in Michigan during the mid-1960s, playing in local bands and developing a style rooted in blues, rock, and soul. Before achieving national fame, he performed with groups like Terry Knight and the Pack, where he honed his songwriting and guitar skills. His early experiences in the Detroit-area music scene helped shape his raw, energetic approach that would later define his massive success with Grand Funk Railroad in the late 1960s and into the 1970s. Grand Funk released 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, 8 compilation albums, and 25 singles. This includes six platinum and seven gold-certified albums between their recording debut in 1969 and their first disbandment in 1976. The band had a string of hit singles such as "We're an American Band", "I'm Your Captain (Closer to Home)", "Some Kind of Wonderful" (a cover of Soul Brothers Six), "Walk Like a Man", "The Loco-Motion" (a cover of Little Eva), "Bad Time" and "Inside Looking Out" (a cover of the Animals). After his rise to fame with Grand Funk, Farner entered a markedly different phase of his career in the 1980s. This period saw him step away from mainstream rock excess and lean into message-driven songwriting, blending his signature guitar work and bluesy rock approach with spiritually focused lyrics. Farner tied his work closely to Frontline Records during this time, a label known for promoting rock and metal artists with faith-based messages.Farner's second release, Wake Up..., continued this trajectory, urging spiritual awareness and action. Unlike the raw, riff-heavy sounds of classic Grand Funk, Wake Up... leans into blues-rock and heartland rock influences. Farner's gritty, earnest, and slightly weathered vocals carry the record. The guitar work is less about flashy solos and more about supporting the emotional weight of every song. The single "Upright Man" received a ton of airplay on CCM Radio around the globe. Since the mid-1990s, Mark has largely focused on touring under his own name, often billed as "Mark Farner's American Band," a nod to one of Grand Funk's most iconic songs. His live shows have remained his strongest connection to fans, featuring a mix of Grand Funk hits and solo material, delivered with the same high-energy guitar work and vocals that defined his early fame. Farner is currently touring with his American Band in 2026.

Atlanta Millionaires Club is in Faye Webster's feelings, and that's the way she likes it. "Everything is way personal, " Webster says. "I have to write about very personal things for me to even want to write." On the 21-year-old Atlanta native's new album, the omnipresence of pedal steel eschews bluegrass trappings, flexible under Webster's genre-bending direction. Webster didn't set out to make it sound like any artist in particular, but she cites Aaliyah as her main musical inspiration for how she uses sound. "That's where I first heard, 'Oh, there's this weird guitar that's bendy and it could totally be in a country song, ' but the way she's using it is what makes her music so special to me, " Webster explains. "I try to do that. I try to change the way pedal steel is supposed to sound, or keys, to make it more R&B." Pulling from a familial lineage of folk storytelling and time spent in Atlanta's hip-hop scene, Webster's work is a study of duality, weaving through her own introversion and heartbreak; it's an idiosyncratic sadness punctuated by fleeting observations and an unexpected, sly sense of humor. And like the way Webster takes the traditional instrumentation of Americana and flips it into something else, she uses her own calm, laid-back demeanor to say you can be boldly and unapologetically yourself in a quiet way, too.

Faye Webster’s songs are direct lines to the human subconscious, and Underdressed at the Symphony documents what happens once you begin to build a new self from the ashes of your old routines. This rebirth isn’t flashy or definitive, but is instead a series of seemingly mundane moments that, scattered across weeks and months, sneak their way toward something like healing. Yes, there’s a breakup in play, but Webster is not documenting the heartbreak of a breakup so much as she’s navigating the contours of heartbreak itself. Recorded at Sonic Ranch Studios in Texas with her longtime band, Webster is accompanied on Underdressed at the Symphony by Matt Stoessel’s arcs of shimmering pedal steel, the plaintive, unhurried drums of Charles Garner, and, occasionally, additional guitarwork from Wilco’s Nels Cline, among many other crucial players. The title of the album refers to Webster’s post-breakup compulsion to visit the symphony on a whim, usually buying a ticket at the last possible second. “Going to the symphony was almost like therapy for me. I was quite literally underdressed at the symphony because I would just decide at that moment that that's what I wanted to do,” she says. “That's what I felt like I needed to hear. I got to leave what I felt like was kind of a shitty time in my life and be in this different world for a minute.” That strain of lightheartedness with a melancholic backbone permeates the album, and is the major driving force behind “Lego Ring,” which features Atlanta multi-hyphenate Lil Yachty, the only guest voice on the entire album. Yachty’s ghostly warble floats just under Webster’s voice, jabbing through empty space, trembling over a low rumble of bass. The song is also a sort of release—a buoyant moment that cuts through the sadness. “I think I hit a point in songwriting during this record where I was just like, man, I said a lot.” Webster says. “I'm just going to sit down and sing about this ring that I really want. ”Like the rest of the album, Webster isn’t providing answers, nor is she on some epic journey of healing and self-care. Instead, she’s choosing to just live, to document heartbreak and ridiculous moments right next to each other, until they start to blur together, becoming real enough for us all to feel.

feeble little horse is naturally delighted to present their third full-length LP, bitknot. The album was written, arranged, produced, and recorded by Sebastian Kinsler, Lydia Slocum, and Jake Kelley across their respective homes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.A spirited investigation into the unnatural space created between human nature and a culture of convenience, a synthesis of dirt and digital, bitknot by feeble little horse creates a language wherein one can re-imbue a sanctity of interdependence away from consumptive ?self-sufficiency? and materialism. ?The album art is based on the coincidental core memory matrix, which was used in old computers to store memory / access information using 0s and 1s. Each core, or ?bit,? is accessed through the grid of wires, like a knot that stores secret details and memories.? bitknot asks that we find new modes of being through this grid, entrusting one another with the collaborative construction of these knots. This negotiation with an ever-developing hybrid reality is expertly exemplified in the album?s production ? the buoyancy of Kinsler?s arrangements provide a perfectly balanced surface tension for the weight of Slocum?s meandering introspection as they playfully harmonize against saccharine hooks, walls of noise, a supercharged car battery?s worth of synths and samples dropped in the ocean of their guitar-driven songwriting framework, and some of Kelley?s most laser-focused drums to date to create a sonic chimera that is as likely to be found nascently developing in the early aughts as some unknown, chromatic future.Rhymes written with sidewalk chalk that refuse to be erased in the Anthropocene?s acid rain of destructive relationships, Herbert Marcuse?s One-Dimensional Man manifest through the spirit of a young woman born in the shadow of the Steel City?s industrial ghosts, a study of the clumsy alchemy of IRL and WWW ? it is within these rhizomatic contradictions that bitknot proliferates.

These days - on the new, ninth Fink album - Greenall is operating within a lineage of authentic, quietly revolutionary artists from England's verdant southwestern toe. Artists like Michael Chapman. In 1970, the elusive acoustic guitar wizard released an album called Fully Qualified Survivor. The cult-classic served as a lodestar for Greenall - along with bandmates Tim Thornton and Guy Whittaker - as he began jig sawing together The City Is Coming to Erase it All, the follow-up to 2024's Beauty In Your Wake. He even considered covering a song from it, but in the process, inadvertently stumbled into what became the album's opener. 'Wishing For Blue Sky' circles a universal teenage ache: waiting for life to start. "No point dying of patience" goes the first lyric as crunching footsteps cue a resonant, open-tuned acoustic swaying into view. By 18, Greenall was fed up with waiting, so he left suburban Bristol and saw the world, sending postcards from the edge, waiting tables, squirreling away tips for the next flight. Thornton had similar experiences when the guitarist/drummer busked across Europe. This is nowstalgia more than nostalgia, though; there's a parallel between these 18-year-olds and Fink's autumn-aged family men. "You're expected to be boring and settling down at this age," Thornton says. "But we've still got this tremendous wanderlust. We want to go and discover and also achieve things. It's a nice life - home and family - but fuck, I can't wait to get back out there." City is a product of this hunger for discovery, and idolatry of the album as a form - like we had in 1974. City's cover mirrors it's interior, the first song is the greeting, the instrumental closer the conclusion. It's a story. It's a record for people who, like it's creators, are curious. People who happily face a little cold for music, who light a crackling fire back home, who sit with these songs until they're ready to chase after their own blue sky.

Finn Wolfhard's forthcoming album, Fire From The Hip, represents a definitive "hi-fi" evolution, moving from the raw, 16mm-aesthetic of his debut record, Happy Birthday, to a broader, 35mm-fidelity sound. Inspired by pivotal rock albums like Exile on Main Street and Beggars Banquet, Finn leans into a more expansive, collaborative sound on this record. The music is upbeat, guitar-driven, and captures the lightning-in-a-bottle energy of his live band, positioning Finn not just as a familiar face in the zeitgeist, but as a definitive and respected leader in the modern music landscape. 2020 release. Fetch the Bolt Cutters is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Fiona Apple. It is Apple's first release since The Idler Wheel... in 2012. The album was recorded from 2015 to 2020, largely at Apple's home in Venice Beach. It was produced and performed by Apple alongside Amy Aileen Wood, Sebastian Steinberg and Davíd Garza; recording consisted of long, often-improvised takes with unconventional percussive sounds. Rooted in experimentation, the highly percussive album resists genre categorization. While conventional instruments, such as pianos and drum sets, do appear, the album also features prominent use of non-musical found objects as percussion. Apple described the result as "percussion orchestras". These industrial-like rhythms are contrasted against traditional melodies, and the upbeat songs often subvert traditional pop structures.

After a nearly five-decade (and counting) career as one of his generation’s defining rock bassists, Flea releases his first full-length solo album, Honora, March 27, 2026, on Nonesuch Records. Time and space have finally allowed him to return to his first musical loves: jazz and playing the trumpet. The song “Traffic Lights,” co-written with Thom Yorke and Josh Johnson, accompanies the album announcement.
For Honora, which takes its name from a beloved family member, Flea composed and arranged the music, and also plays trumpet and bass throughout, joined by an elite crew of modern jazz visionaries: album producer and saxophonist Josh Johnson, guitarist Jeff Parker, bassist Anna Butterss, and drummer Deantoni Parks. The record features vocals from Flea, as well as friends Thom Yorke and Nick Cave. Mauro Refosco (David Byrne, Atoms for Peace) and Nate Walcott (Bright Eyes), among others, also join the band.
The album comprises six original songs—including one co-written by Flea, Johnson, and Yorke—as well as interpretations of tunes by George Clinton and Eddie Hazel, Jimmy Webb, Frank Ocean and Shea Taylor, and Ann Ronell.
Though Flea dreamed of being like his heroes Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and Clifford Brown, his path went a different direction. His close friend Hillel Slovak asked him to pick up the bass and join his rock band when he was sixteen, leading Flea into a decades-long career with the hugely successful Red Hot Chili Peppers.
As Flea neared his sixtieth birthday, he realized that if he did not pick up the trumpet again, he probably never would. So he resolved to practice every day for two years—in the midst of a stadium tour with Red Hot Chili Peppers, with a wife and newborn at home. At the end of those two years, he would make an album, regardless of where his knowledge or talents ended up.
Until Honora, Flea had never been scared of making music before. He worried that the all-star band he had assembled would think he was “a non-playing motherf*cker, charlatan, rock poseur or fan.” But, he says, “It turns out they were all the most genuinely supportive people, moving me deeply and daily with their generous spirits… Sitting in a room and playing the music with them made me feel like I was on drugs. I was buzzing, tripping and floating around the studio. I love them, they truly gave of themselves. I bow all the way down.”
