It was quite a coup when Cloven Hoof mastermind and bassist Lee Payne announced that Harry 'The Tyrant' Conklin, who had relocated to Greece, would be joining the band. The former Jag Panzer frontman proved to be the perfect replacement for Russ North, who many fans regarded as the definitive Cloven Hoof vocalist. Sadly, Russ is no longer with us.As a result, expectations were high, and the reaction to the band's first album featuring Harry Conklin on vocals was overwhelmingly positive. Heathen Cross was released by High Roller Records in 2024 and was met with widespread acclaim. Now Cloven Hoof returns with it's tenth full-length studio album, Never A Prophet In Your Own Land. Once again, 'The Tyrant' delivers a world-class vocal performance. UPC: 4251267725465Label: High RollerRelease Date: 9.10.26Format: CD

[OPTDEMISE = It is a coined term combining “Opt” (choice), “Optimize,” and “Demise” (death/ending)]
The five-piece band coldrain from Nagoya, Japan, make their global return with their eighth full-length album, “OPTIMIZE = OPTDEMISE”, to be released via Century Media Records.
The album expands on their 2025 digital EP “OPTIMIZE”, which introduced the first five tracks. With a total of 12 songs, “OPTIMIZE = OPTDEMISE” continues and completes the record’s narrative while expanding coldrain’s diversity. Exploring themes of technological evolution, the album poses a central question: will humanity continue to evolve or drive itself towards demise? Musically, coldrain refine the elements that have shaped their global stand in the metal scene: stadium-ready melodies, the high-energy intensity associated with Japanese bands, and powerful, aggressive vocals. From the unforgettable opener “OPTIMIZE,” the album pulls listeners into a dynamic orbit of emotion and energy, striking a seamless balance between heavy vocal delivery and powerful singalongs. The album also pays homage to the band’s roots and history through its featured artists, including Bert McCracken of The Used, which they have toured with in the past as well as a feature from Japanese vocalist Kenta Koie on the track “SAVIOR”. Each track is layered with meticulous detail and nuanced arrangements, creating a complex yet cohesive work in which every song stands out.
Mastered by Mike Kalajian (Cigarettes after Sex, Neck Deep, Silverstein), coldrain’s “OPTIMIZE = OPTDEMISE” proves and reaffirms across its 12 tracks the band’s position as one of THE bands to watch from the Japanese market.

The Venom in the Mouth of God is Combichrist at their most expansive and most honest, a record that tears open the gap between who we are and who we perform ourselves to be, and leaves it bleeding. Andy LaPlegua has been one of industrial metal's defining forces since the early 2000s, fusing EBM brutality with hard rock muscle in a way few acts have managed to replicate. This new album plays like both a descent and a reckoning. The opening run, from "ODR" through "Born Deströyer," lands like a controlled demolition: dense, mechanized, merciless. Mid-album, the mood shifts and stretches, with "Each Scar a Vision" and "The Way We Want to Be Seen" pulling at something more psychological, the masks we wear and the versions of ourselves we construct for others. "Demons Wanna Be Summoned" features King 810, the Michigan-bred rap-metal outfit known for their confrontational intensity, a collaboration that fits the album's relentless atmosphere like a blade in a wound.

Finland's CONVULSE present the official 2026 Remastered, Reissues of their classic titles "World Without God", "Reflections" & the new demo compilation "From Resuscitation to Reincarnation - The Early Years"All three remastered titles are streaming now & pre-orders are out July 31, 2026 on LP/CD/CS formats.Convulse original member Rami Jämsä comments on the reissues:"I am very grateful for the Relapse Records from all these three classy Convulse reissues. "World without God" (1991) is our best known debut album with full of rotten old school death metal notes. But don't miss our hidden gem "Reflections" (1994), which is our second album and will be released first time ever on vinyl format. Death 'n roll album "Reflections" comes to home on Relapse Records after 30 years with a brand new layout and a brilliant remastered sound. Third release will be "From Resuscitation to Reincarnation" which presents Convulse's transformation from the straightforward death metal band to more diverse death&rock band. It includes our first demotape "Resuscitation of Evilness" (1990) and "Lost Equilibrium" EP (1992)."
Two years after the release of "World Without God", Finland's early purveyors of death/grind/thrash return with their sophomore album, "Reflections". Unbeknownst to the band and fans alike at the time, this album would prove to be Convulse's last for almost 20 years."Reflections" finds Convulse exploring new territory, as the album exhibits a clear departure from the band's earlier, old school death metal inspired material. Rather than pummeling the audience with blast beats and grinding guitars, the band places emphasis on creating a sense of groove by means of clearer production, softer guitar tones, thrash driven solos, and, at times, a downright jazzy, Black Sabbath-esque sound. The story of one of metal's most talented power trios begins with a band called Diamond. Before bassist Ron Royce (Ron Broder) and guitarist Tommy T. Baron (Tommy Vetterli) formed Coroner, they played in a traditional hard rock outfit by that name. After only three gigs or so, Ron and Tommy decided to leave because they wanted to start their own band. Thus, Coroner as we know them today was born. The first result of Tommy, Ron and Marky working together was the Death Cult demo, featuring 'Spectators Of Sin', 'Spiral Dream', 'Aerial Combat' and 'The Invincible'. Tom Gabriel Fischer of Celtic Frost sang vocals and also wrote the lyrics for Death Cult. UPC: 4251267725427Label: High RollerRelease Date: 9.10.26Format: CD
