Operation: Mindcrime [2 LP] Operation: Mindcrime is regarded as one of the greatest concept metal albums of all time. This new version was remastered at Abbey Road Studios and brings together all the available recordings to tell the story of this remarkable album on 2 LPs.

Queensryche's Rage for Order splashed onto the scene in 1986, pushing their early metal sound into something colder and more experimental. Layered with chilly synths and sharp production, the record leans into a futuristic, almost industrial feel. It's sleek, strange, and a clear step away from straight-ahead metal. This clear shift in direction left a mark that still reverberates to this day.

QUEENSRYCHE / The WARNING Queensryche's The Warning leans into a darker, more traditional heavy metal sound, built on sharp riffs and a steady, driving pace the band is classically known for. There's a sense of scale to it, with themes that feel bigger than the band's earlier work without losing focus. The Warning is heavy and direct, and it's always worth running back a few times.

Over the decades, Bolan left an unmistakable imprint on projects across the rock and metal world. Now Bolan’s pushing to the next limit delivering his solo debut. The record is a raw and energetic punk rock release produced by multi-Grammy winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains) with a strong lineup of special guests Corey Taylor, Nuno Bettencourt, Danko Jones, Steve Conte, and Damon Johnson and basically the full Skid Row family. Bolan takes the lead throughout the record, performing most lead vocals, all bass, and much of the guitar work.

Beware! The frost-biting beast in white is back and ready to rip heads off. When the "Snowbound Horror" descends from the icy wastes of blizzard-beaten peaks there is no escape. With their sophomore album, RAVAGED BY THE YETI deliver everything that their loyal following was hoping for after the acclaimed debut "Apex Predator" took the death metal world by storm. Reeking Aura, a five piece death metal group made of seasoned veterans from the NY/NJ underground scene, returns in 2026 with their second album On the Promise of the Moon. Tracked at OK Studios in Kinderhook, NY then mixed and mastered by the legendary Dan Swano, On the Promise of the Moon builds on the "Fires in Deep Frost" EP released in 2025 with a dark, melodic atmosphere that does not compromise their brutal, guttural NY roots.Returning from the first album are guitarists Terrell Grannum (Thaetas), and Rick Habeeb (Grey Skies Fallen) as well as vocalist William Smith (Afterbirth). Drummer Hudson Barth and bassist TJ Coon (both also in Trog) round out the lineup and bring fresh blood to the band, with all members having contributed to the writing process. The album also features contributions from guest vocalists Eston Browne (Vulnificus) and Jon Berg (The Path) as well as string arrangements by Ben Karas (Slaughtersun).Reeking Aura began in 2019 and promptly recorded their debut EP "Beneath the Canopy of Compost" and first album "Blood and Bonemeal" with Colin Marston in Queens, NYC. In addition to NY and NJ gigs supporting Malevolent Creation, Horrendous, Crypt Sermon and Mortician, they have toured the North and Southeast U.S. with such acts as Replicant, Atoll, Pyrexia, Hath, Animals Killing People, False Gods and Carrion Vael. With their self-titled full-length, RESTLESS SPIRIT have reached a point in their career where the band of friends from Long Island, New York knows exactly who they are and where they stand. As the eight tracks on "Restless Spirit" are the most distilled version of what the trio is about, they saw no need for further explanation in the title. So, what are RESTLESS SPIRIT about? Pure metal, no more, no less. Born from the steel mills of Birmingham this musical style has deep English working class roots that the East Coast outfit translates into an American sonic slang with elements from desert and stoner metal and even the occasional progressive flourish. As a result, they seamlessly merge classic heavy solos with roaring guitars and a pinch of psychedelic fuzz. In hindsight, the massive punch delivered to the gut delivered by their previous album, "Afterimage," set the trio onto a course that led directly to "Restless Spirit". Trimming away all sonic fat, focusing on the essentials, and refining their sound and songwriting down to it's heaviest core has yielded a record that promises to be timeless. RESTLESS SPIRIT are throwing out a rescue rope to all headbangers and particularly those dealing with all the cruelty that life can bring. "Restless Spirit" is a call to persevere in the face of others not understanding or even outright rejection. This album is about living on one's own terms, which was and is at the heart of metal.

The famous Ruhr Area, or the 'Pott' as it is called, was Germany's industrial heart that beat to the sound of steelworks and miners were risking their health and lives deep down in the eternal night of the coal seams. The Ruhr Area is also the place where Resurrected hail from, both mentally and physically, and it's history has served as an important part of the inspiration that is driving the brutal death veterans' eighth full-length "Perpetual". Ash, soot, and the ringing noise of steel hammers seem particularly fertile ground for metal - from BLACK SABBATH via JUDAS PRIEST to KREATOR and SODOM. On "Perpetual", Resurrected keep a steady course, which remains firmly on an old school death metal trajectory. This is completely befitting for a band that ranks among the earliest pioneers of the brutal style in their country. What makes the difference are the many years of experience, both in songwriting and on stage, which are reflected in the technical proficiency as well as the powerful and absolutely crushing tracks that are a tribute to their craft on this album. Resurrected spent a large part of 2025 channelling their decades of experience, talent, and unwavering passion for death metal into "Perpetual": Resurrected did not grow old, they got even better!

Over the last decade, Chicago quartet REZN have carved out a unique place in the landscape of heavy music, chiseling away at the crude formations of the topography, mining the most concentrated metallic ore from the dirt, and shaping it all into something monumental, imposing, and divine. While REZN has always fused seismic riffs with effortless beauty and grandeur, their shifting strategies for wielding that polarity have involved varied compositional and stylistic decisions, most notably the light-and-dark contrast of companion albums Solace (2023) and Burden (2024). But with their newest full-length offering, Cycles in the Infinite Dream, REZN masterfully harness the oppressive weight of their full sonic armory to celestial melodies and sublime synesthesia-inducing atmospherics in a manner so seamless it feels otherworldly, as if occupying a liminal space between two realities. While REZN traffic in the unbridled realms of metal and untethered reaches of psychedelia, their latest release showcases a band working with discipline and intention, even when those intentions are rendered to be purposefully cryptic. As the album title implies, Cycles in the Infinite Dream explores the nexus of our waking and nocturnal worlds. "We moved towards the dream and subconscious state as a lyrical concept and melodic theme," the band explains. "The pseudo-waking state is a reflection of a second existence-something that you can flee to or be imprisoned by." Much like the subconscious-guided work of David Lynch, Cycles in the Infinite Dream exists as parallax between the artist and the audience, creating an obscured and distorted space that is both familiar and alien, like a corridor into our past where we recognize our surroundings but somehow still feel lost within it's warped geometry.

The Ruins of Beverast were formed in early 2003 and named after the most bloodcurdling event of ancient Mid and Northeuropean eschatology - the collapse the Bifröst. Sacrilege was formed in Birmingham in July of 1984. The original lineup consisted of singer Tam, guitarist Damian Thompson, bassist Tony May, and drummer Liam Pickering. In the summer of 1985, Pickering was replaced by Andy Baker. After several local performances, Sacrilege recorded their first demo tapes, which were well received in the English punk/hardcore scene as well as in metal circles. As a result, the small label C.O.R. (Children Of The Revolution Records) showed interest in the band. Sacrilege went into the studio to record the six songs "Lifeline," "Shadow From Mordor," "At Death's Door," "A Violation Of Something Sacred," "The Closing Irony," and "Out Of Sight" for the mini-LP Behind The Realms Of Madness. Musically, they followed the example of English bands such as Broken Bones, English Dogs, and Discharge, fusing the energy of punk/hardcore with the finesse of metal riffing. The original pressing on C.O.R. is said to have sold 11,000 copies in Europe alone at the time of release, with another 15,000 copies sold through Pusmort in America.
