Alliance Entertainment Pre-Order: Bantou Jazz / Ok Jazz / Conga Succes / Negro Succe - Son De Congo (Ins) (LP) (New (N))
'El Son de Congo' is a new double-LP compilation in Planet Ilunga's 'Les Éditeurs Congolais' series, focusing on the phonographic work of the first generation of Congolese record-label owners. Following a previous compilation dedicated to African Fiesta and the Vita label, Planet Ilunga turns it attention this time to two other labels managed by Roger Izeidi. Spanning the early to mid-1960s, the compilation brings together an original selection of recordings from four different leading Congolese bands, released originally on two important Congolese music labels. Alliance Entertainment Pre-Order: Peter Cristopherson (Coil) - Time Machine Ii (CD) (New (N))
When Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson passed away in 2010, he left behind several projects in different stages of completion. Apart from what was later released as X-TG's "Desertshore" and the previous Infinite Fog re-release of "Amulet" by The Threshold HouseBoys Choir, a further seven tracks were compiled by people close to Sleazy in 2014 as "Time Machines II" and issued as a limited deluxe memory stick, in keeping with Sleazy's ideas of ways to make music available in different and potentially more exciting, almost fetishistic formats (and not as the long-rumoured five-CD set, which, arguably, these tracks might have been the foundation for). That edition sold out almost immediately; it has since become a collector's item, and a reissue has long been overdue. Infinite Fog are delighted to be able to present these seven outstanding soundworks on vinyl and CD for the first time, to a new audience who may never even have heard (about) these pieces before. Tracklist: Time Machines II - 112:52 Time Machines II - 208:56 Time Machines II - 310:25 Time Machines II - 410:15 Time Machines II - 512:48 Time Machines II - 608:58 Time Machines II - 7 UPC: 8016670173892Label: Infinite FogRelease Date: 11.6.26Format: CD

Alliance Entertainment Pre-Order: Amina Hocine - X3 / Phonophani - Unit The Fish Eyes Shine (LP) (New (N))
Amina HOCINE « X3 » (2024)X3, by Amina Hocine, draws progressively, subtly and inexorably on the complementary nature of sound materials. Patiently and delicately blending pure sine waves, field recordings and sounds produced with a 'foghorn organ' (an instrument developed by Hocine herself), X3 invites both introspection and contemplation. Inspired by a symbol of the Danish mystic Martinus Thomsen representing the evolution of a being in the physical world, Amina Hocine invites us on a long journey, balancing between the static and the changing, between the almost imperceptible and the grandiose, with rare elegance and grace. It is a music of transition that Amina Hocine offers us, a music where the mediation of sound, wave after wave, becomes meditation.-Espen SOMMER EIDE « Until the Fish Eyes Shine » (2025)In Until the Fish Eyes Shine, Espen Sommer Eide takes an inspired panoramic and retrospective look at his musical work, often produced under the pseudonym Phonophani. By revisiting and reimagining the sounds of his early years, with the late 1990s ambient techno scene in Tromsø as a background, Eide summons a music that is anything but nostalgic, but instead offers a kind of 'geological stratification' where eras and protocols collide, overlap and complement each other, revealing the remarkable singularity of the Norwegian artist's sound palette. The piece also expresses the extreme consistency and authenticity of his musical vision, a vision in which technological innovations, the contemplated environment and lived emotions converge in a space apart, that of dreamlike music, always to be invented, always in motion, always in transformation. Alliance Entertainment Pre-Order: Jules Negrier - Iris Crackled Like Eyelids / All Solids Melt Into (LP) (New (N))
Jules NÉGRIER « An Iris Crackled Like Eyelids »In An Iris Crackled Like Eyelids, Jules Négrier explores two movements, two inner moments separated by the suspended time of an eyelid 'crackling'. The first movement begins as a story ends, with a release of raw emotions, then blossoms into a broad surface of harmonic divergences. The second movement reintroduces a crossover of rhythms, torsions, descents and ascents to reveal a paradoxical space that unfolds in the time of an unresolved pacification. Inspiredly and intricately exposing sounds that are both diaphanous and tortuous, Jules Négrier composes a mysterious music, a music that draws from the torments of electronic matter forms and becomings that gradually gain ground in the regions of simplicity.Maria W HORN « All Solids Melt Into Aether »In All Solids Melt Into Aether, Maria W Horn weaves together chords created using an organ pushed to it's limits with the relentless textures of computer-generated sounds. Between the extreme, cold precision of the electronic tones and the instability of the warm organ chords subject to pressure variations, a silent drama unfolds, giving rise to a complex world composed of harmonic states which, from their formation to their collapse, induce a powerful and poignant metaphor, conjuring up images of a perpetual, immemorial struggle. This struggle is the one that takes place, every moment, between two opposing energies: one forming the desire for a stable state, seeking a fragile balance, an energy constrained and contradicted, relentlessly, by the forces of entropy and chaos. In this respect, Maria W Horn delivers, with All Solids Melt Into Aether, a work of evocative and introspective power that is truly fascinating. Alliance Entertainment Pre-Order: Rudolph Johnson - Second Coming - Remastered - Blue/Black Swirl (LP) (New (N))
The album title is apt, as this was saxman Rudolph Johnson's second album for the Black Jazz label. But more importantly, the quality of the music it contains renders the more common, Messianic meaning of the phrase ""the second coming"" equally applicable. Saxman and bandleader Rudolph Johnson never attained the commercial success of some of his contemporaries, but his fans consider him the rightful heir to John Coltrane's improvisational genius. And with keyboardist Kirk Lightsey in the band for this go-round, sparks are gonna fly, starting right off with the cookin' album opener ""The Traveler,"" which if you close your eyes will definitely bring to mind Coltrane's classic quartet circa the early '60s. Indeed, unlike most of the other releases on the Black Jazz label, The Second Coming barely nods to the fusion and soul jazz trends that were sweeping jazz at the time. Instead, this is expressive, free improvisation at it's best, beautifully recorded by producer Gene Russell and deserving of a much wider audience than it found the first time. Remastered and annotated, and limited to 500 blue with black swirl copies! Alliance Entertainment Pre-Order: Dirty Three - Ulterior Motives [Colored Vinyl] (Grn) (Red) (LP) (New (N))
The Dirty Three forged from a need t o pay the rent in 1993. The main concern was to try and take a band photo in a rehearsal, albeit brief. The band originally played background MUZAK in the corner of a bar, a bar probably not too dissimilar from your living room. The band's volume outgrew the venue, s o they took o n stages, stages with PA's. There was also some problem about a stolen mop bucket.Dirty Three's music has been called lyrical, passionate, original, inspiring, and has earned them admiration and renown across the globe, from their home in Australia, to New Orleans to New York City and back again. Tracklist: Better Go Home Now (Live Version) Indian Love Song (Demo Version) Everything Is Fucked (Demo Version) The Last Night (Demo Version) Hope (Live Version) Sue's Last Ride (Demo Version) No Stranger Than That (Demo Version) Deep Water (Live Version) UPC: 036172114733Label: Touch & Go RecordsRelease Date: 11.6.26Format: Vinyl
