This fourth album overall, and the first release after moving to the Showboat label, is a conceptual work built from songs born during travels through Mexico, the Bahamas, and New Orleans with his beloved wife KURO, and recorded in a Los Angeles studio. It lovingly sings of the landscapes of Central and South America, as well as the encounters and farewells experienced along the journey. The warm performances by the members of So Bad Review and steel pan master Robert Greenidge bring a calm, happy, and relaxed mood to the album. From the classic "Gypsy Song," which has continued to be covered by many musicians, to the light Latin touch of the title track "Minami Ryokou," all ten songs shine with an evergreen brilliance.

Following on from 2022’s EBM, a collaboration with electronic producer Benjamin John Power, aka Blanck Mass, on Surface, Echo & Sound, Editors have found themselves somewhere new entirely. When the band regrouped in summer 2025 to work on a follow-up, after three albums written and recorded very much as in-the-studio projects, Editors felt they wanted to go back to a more natural approach, something that harked back to their earliest days, sat in a practice room in Stafford, facing each other as they worked through songs together.
Like on last year’s solo record There is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light, frontman Tom Smith took a similar stripped back, acoustic-based approach to the new Editors material, bringing a selection of songs to the band for them to play together, trying different things out, and seeing where they went. In terms of creating the record, “It was a very productive summer,” says Smith. “The sun was out for the most part, we were in greenest Gloucestershire, not far from where I live, on this innocuous little industrial estate – it was pretty much the opposite of being in Berghain!”

Y&T Music is proud to announce a limited-edition CD release of "I Believe In You," the second album of rare home demos by Tom Evans, original member of the legendary Badfinger (originally the Iveys). "I Believe In You" is being released with the full support of the Evans Estate and is the first time that these historic recordings have been released to the public. The CD includes a 12-page booklet with rare photos provided by Tom's wife, Marianne. Evans wrote and sang lead on The Iveys' first single for Apple Records in 1969, "Maybe Tomorrow," which was a minor worldwide hit. Tom also sang lead on Badfinger's first major hit single written by Paul McCartney, "Come And Get It." On Badfinger's "No Dice" LP he, co-wrote the song, "Without You" with Pete Ham, which singer Harry Nilsson covered and had a worldwide #1 single with in 1972. These rare recordings were carefully restored and mastered by Kevin McElligott with compilation, editing, remixing and additional engineering by Tom Brennan.

Los Angeles-based producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Dexter Story returns with his sixth album, T'som (pronounced sawm), a deeply personal work inspired by the spiritual practice of fasting. Meaning ""fasting"" in the Afro-Semitic languages Tigrinya and Amharic, as well as in Arabic, Tsom represents a time of prayer, reflection and discipline across northeast Africa. Guided by this tradition, Story draws on the musical heritage of the Horn of Africa and musical traditions of the Middle East to create a spiritual jazz album that reflects on devotion, transformation and the power of letting go.

There's something quietly defiant about Melody Boy. Written and recorded in a tiny beach hut studio on the English coast, and notably know for his previous work with Paul Weller and The Moons, Andy Crofts' debut solo album arrives without compromise or concession to trend. It's a record built on melody above all else, songs that feel unearthed rather than manufactured, guided by instinct, memory, and a lifelong obsession with the craft of songwriting.Crofts, long established as a songwriter and musician, steps forward here with a voice that feels both seasoned and strangely elusive. There's no rush to explain, no attempt to overstate. Instead, Melody Boy unfolds with a natural confidence, hook laden, harmonically rich, and emotionally direct without ever losing it's sense of mystery.Drawing from a lineage of classic songwriting while remaining firmly his own, the album leans into warmth, analogue textures, and a sense of timelessness that resists the churn of the modern music cycle. It's not chasing a moment, it's creating it's own space.Lead single "Blue" introduced that world: melodic, reflective, quietly anthemic. Across the album, that same thread runs deep, songs that reveal themselves slowly, rewarding repeat listens rather than demanding immediate attention. There's a deliberate sense of distance in Melody Boy. Not coldness, but clarity. A refusal to overexplain. The result is a body of work that feels personal without being confessional, detailed without being crowded. In a landscape built on constant output and fleeting attention, Andy Crofts offers something else entirely: a record that trusts the listener to meet it halfway.

Pressed from the same metal mother as the 2010 edition, this album represents one of Gunn's earliest gut punches. It continues to captivate - note the hundreds of wantlist entries for this title on Discogs - with it's timeline and haunted charm. This one features Gunn-specific guitar workouts like "No Atlas" and "Concrete Beach". You have haunting vocal turns like "For the Horse, Etc.", "Money Train Blues" and a gorgeous take on John Martyn's "Over The Hill". It's hard to fathom Martin Bramah's trajectory from his beginnings as a guitarist/writer behind two crazily influential postpunk albums - The Fall's Live At The Witch Trials and Blue Orchids' The Greatest Hit (Money Mountain) (vocalist on the latter too, of course) - then nearly three decades of sporadic-at-best activity, offering releases just frequently enough to remind fans of his peculiar brilliance... before another stay in the void. Chalk it up to what you want - Mark E. Smith's utter usurpation of The Fall, his split from partner Una Baines after Blue Orchids' debut, the vague collapse of rash experimentation in 'underground' music as early '80s nu-pop and American college rock diluted any real spirit, a few failed attempts at working with with Mark again... and maybe just life getting in the way. A sense of lost opportunities isn't tough to justify. Inasmuch as Martin was originally the singer for The Fall - Mark began as guitarist but couldn't play! - and given that the group's mythology was born in an era before that gang of Mancunian misfits had even thought of playing, it's high irony that 49 years after The Fall began, Martin has both become wildly prolific and the leader of a band with more rights of inheritance to The Fall's credibility than any other living person could justify...yet the band isn't remarkable for that as it is for the range and wealth extent of their collective powers and talent: two great and original guitarists, three of the UK's most daringly-skilled drummers, a genuine bass legend, and a brilliant spare Blue Orchid guitarist. Four albums in, the House of All is getting ambitious

The original motion picture soundtrack for Tim Kasher's (Cursive, The Good Life) new directorial effort Who's Watching-set to arrive in select theaters and on digital platforms on September 18, 2026, via Dark Sky Films-will be released on October 30, 2026, via 15 Passenger Records. The 13-song collection is split into a side A that contains songs by Toxic Cock Syndrome and a side B that holds the score, as well as a new Cursive song, "Wounded Animal." Just WHO is Toxic Cock Syndrome? A metal "band" featured prominently throughout the film: Caleb Sampson (played by Zachary Ray Sherman) on bass, Chris (played by Radkey's Darrion Lewis) on guitar/vocals, and Tony (played by Radkey's Isaiah Radke) on drums. Their intentionally odd, aggressive, and immature songs serve as a window into the disturbed protagonist of the film-a darkly humorous and unsettling psychological horror thriller about the male gaze that subverts both stalker and found footage tropes. In reality, Toxic Cock Syndrome's songs were performed by: Kasher (guitar/backing vocals), Radke (vocals), Lewis (guitar), Jonah Ray (drums), and Josh Ethier (bass). The five instrumentals of the score, meanwhile, are eerie, evocative, and at times even strangely beautiful. It all culminates with "Wounded Animal, " Cursive's first new music since their 2024 album Devourer (Run For Cover Records); taut and simmering, the song plays over the film's closing credits, slowly intensifying into a cathartic, soaring conclusion.'Who's Watching, ' written and directed by Tim Kasher, tells the story of an eccentric loner obsessed with making a film about his unwitting coworker, secretly recording every aspect of her life until the project spirals into something far more dangerous than he anticipated.

Originally released in 2000, Iron is one of the most playful and distinctive albums in the COH catalogue. Ivan Pavlov channels a lifelong fascination with 1980s heavy metal, not by imitating it's riffs or volume, but by distilling what he describes as it's defining sonic character. Pavlov states, "The album was inspired by my teenage passion for the 80's heavy metal, and I think on IRON I wanted to focus on a specific frequency range common to the genre, the mid-range distortion grain."

MISSED OPPORTUNITY FOR THE WORLD is an album born out of existential joy and dread. From blasting noise to tape loops fast-forwarding into the vastness of space, there are moments for just about every doomer and zoomer. The album started as a sprawling sound collage whittled down to thirteen tracks that span today's manic spectrum of emotion. Recorded over a year-and-a-half of location and life changes it feels rife with tonal shifts appropriate for the uncertainty of present day living. MOFTW is a pop record. Missed Opportunity for the World is a slight return to standard band format (guitar/bass/drums) but uses loops as the basis for each new movement. Michael Baum and Alan Connor both take turns as lead and accompanying vocalists, swinging from snarling yelps to crooning ballads. A post-everything maximalist kitchen sink ethic includes sample-based beat-driven grooves under harsh or blissful leads. Did we mention this is a pop record? Imagine the disco ball from the cover art dropped on the tile floor, reassembled with tape, and thrown directly into your face.

Fusing walls of scuffed-up guitars with crystalline atmospherics and honeyed power pop hooks, Kitchener rockers Slough arrive kinetic and fully formed on their self-titled debut. Across seven tracks, the group reveals a distinctive but familiar sound that would not be out of place on the 1990s MuchMusic rotation, indebted as much to the aesthetics of CanCon alternative rock as to the Glasgow school of indie songwriting. It's an accomplished and succinct first statement that wastes no time introducing this exciting act's big, shiny tunes. The album arrives October 30, via Having Fun / We Are Busy Bodies.Standout tracks "Breezin" and "Laid Up" are the best microcosms of the record as a whole. The former is a 60s-90s fusion that recalls Matthew Sweet or The Posies, riding a laid-back, sluggish groove that let's the intricate melodicism of the lead lines and vocals take centre stage before a skronked guitar freak-out dominates the mix. "Laid Up" is the track where the album's indebtedness to the 1990s Halifax Pop Explosion scene really shines through, with echoes of Thrush Hermit, Inbreds, or Smeared-era Sloan. Under all of this is a deceptive amount of jangle. Influences / FFO: Teenage Fanclub, Thrush Hermit, The Breeders, Oasis, The Inbreds, Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, Limblifter, By Divine Right, JAMC.

Shika Shika presents the fifth volume in their Guide to the Birdsong series, this time taking the song of endangered birds to the dancefloor. This new chapter of the long-running project that works with renowned artists and producers to turn endangered birdsong into music. This time, tracks from previous Birdsong albums are reimagined by a global line-up of forward-thinking electronic artists, including Auntie Flo, Photay, Matias Aguayo, Yosi Horikawa, Tayhana and El Búho, transforming the calls, rhythms and atmospheres of threatened bird species into a new remix album. The idea is simple and unique: take music made from and inspired by the songs of endangered birds, and invite some of the most distinctive voices in contemporary electronic music to reinterpret it. The result is a record that moves between experimental club music, organic electronica, Latin American underground sounds, downtempo, field-recording-led production and global dance music, all rooted in the natural world.
