Few albums have rooted themselves deeper into American culture than A Charlie Brown Christmas. Vince Guaraldi's charming, swinging score for the 1965 classic CBS TV animated special brought jazz into millions of homes, wrapped in tinsel, nostalgia, and a chorus of Christmastime is Here.Guaraldi, with his melodic sense and West Coast cool, translated the Peanuts gang's whimsy and melancholy into pure musical gold. Whether it's the airy piano riff of Skating, the finger-snapping joy of Linus and Lucy, or the tender brushwork on Greensleeves, this album did what few thought possible: it turned bebop into bedtime music and made jazz a holiday tradition. And now, it's back - better than ever - as a Hybrid Stereo SACD reissue from Analogue Productions. Mastered with care to DSD by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab directly from the original analog tapes. These are experts who treat vinyl like sacred text, and this edition delivers Guaraldi's piano trio with breathtaking clarity and warmth. It's not just a reissue; it's like hearing A Charlie Brown Christmas for the first time - only this time, it's in hi-fi heaven. Perfect for audiophiles, jazz fans, and anyone who tears up when Charlie Brown saves Christmas. The holiday album as iconic as Charlie Brown's little tree!Hybrid Stereo SACDMastered to DSD by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab from the original master tape UPC: 753088022265Label: Analogue Prod.Release Date: 10.23.26Format: CD

Italian percussionist Umberto Vitiello takes us on a journey into a vanished world. Mixed by Italian techno master Donato Dozzy, the album draws on memories spanning decades, including Vitiello's years living on Yarakh Beach on the outskirts of Dakar, Senegal. There, the rhythms of daily life flowed with the tides: fishermen launching their pirogues at dawn, griots and vendors gathering beneath three towering palm trees, and the Atlantic Ocean providing a serene soundtrack.Named after the Lebou people whose fishing culture has shaped the coastline around Dakar for centuries, the record is both a tribute to a community that welcomed Vitiello as one of their own and a reflection on what has been lost. Those years left a profound mark on both his life and his music. Yet this is not simply a work of remembrance. It is also a meditation on change. Today, the beach that inspired these recordings has been transformed by pollution and environmental decline. Where fishing boats and palm trees once stood, a sculpture by Senegalese artist Serigne Gorgui Mbaye now depicts two giant ears facing the sea-a reminder of the need to listen: to one another, to nature, and to our own conscience.Blending percussion, atmosphere, and storytelling, the album revisits formative experiences from the 1980s through the perspective of the present day. Featuring vocal contributions from Olympia Ndiaye, Anna Caragnano, and Mariangela Morais, and guided by Dozzy's spacious, immersive mix, it unfolds as a deeply personal journey through memory, place and transformation. For many years she has been the voice of The Heliocentrics, the London psych jazz and funk collective whose collaborators include Madlib, Mulatu Astatke, and DJ Shadow. 'Serpent Dreams' is something else entirely: intimate, shape-shifting, and unguarded. 'Serpent Dreams' is the debut album from B'licious, a.k.a. Barbora Patkova, a Slovak-born vocalist, writer, and producer. Co-written and co-produced with Daniel Montagu-Smith of The Noisettes, and engineered by Sie Medway-Smith (Bjork, Massive Attack), it is a melancholic, dreamlike, and eclectic journey drawing on soul, R'n'B, jazz, and electronic music, out on the experimental edges of the London underground scene. Throughout, it carries her signature blend of soulful, avant-garde textures, and aching vocal arrangements. UPC: 5050580883451Label: BabzillaRelease Date: 10.23.26Format: Vinyl
Autumn, the first of 4 records Nao will be releasing as part of her Soulful Suite project, is about finding your way back to yourself. It's a record about accepting the seasons of a life - things ending, changing, even falling apart at times - while refusing to believe that with the passing of time you have to feel less alive. Through love, rest, pleasure, spirituality, music, and self-belief, Nao discovers that renewal doesn't mean returning to who you were, it means allowing yourself to become who you are next, and finding joy in that. The live jazz performances from Nao, Dave Okumu, and friends at the heart of the record feel like an extension of that idea: a musical style rooted in history, but defined by freedom, instinct, and possibility - honoring what came before while remaining open to wherever the moment might take you. Japanese guitarist Koki Fujimoto presents a recital of evocative pieces from France, Spain and Japan. He begins with his own arrangement of Ravel's Alborada del gracioso, a work shimmering with Spanish guitar evocations, and continues with one of Sor's finest masterpieces, the Fantaisie et Variations brillantes. Miguel Llobet was one of the most influential guitarists of the 20th century and a prolific composer for the instrument. His mastery of harmony and melodic expressiveness can be heard in the exquisite miniatures celebrating Catalan folk music. They preface two expressive works from Japan - Fujimoto's Aki no Sankan Nigiri and Tropical Count by Sunao Isaji. Ansgar Krause's arrangement of Debussy's earliest known piano piece, Danse bohemienne, concludes the album. UPC: 747313424771Label: NaxosRelease Date: 10.23.26Format: CD

Moonrise is the first album recording from young British composer Christopher Churcher (b.2004), bringing together works written between the ages of seventeen and twenty-one while studying at the University of Oxford and singing with Somerville College Choir.Performed by the choir under Will Dawes, the album presents both a cappella and piano accompanied pieces-from music for Advent to works celebrating queer identity, and secular settings reflecting on light and the passing of day. It is an intimate and assured collection, moving between moments of contemplative stillness and radiant, lyrical choral writing.Moonrise offers a compelling first introduction to Churcher's developing voice, alive with clarity, warmth, and immediacy of expression. Originally released in 2017, Zara McFarlane's Arise represents a classic moment in Brownswood Recordings catalogue. Just before the global spotlight landed on London's new jazz generation, Zara McFarlane was already forging her own path - connecting jazz, soul, reggae and Afro-Caribbean traditions with a confidence and clarity that remains striking nearly a decade later. Arise captures an artist operating with singular vision, creating a body of work that sounds every bit as fresh and forward-thinking today as it did on release. The album also stands as an early landmark in the career of Moses Boyd, who produced and co-composed the record while serving as Zara's longtime drummer and musical collaborator. Years before his Mercury Prize-nominated breakthrough, Boyd helped shape Arise into a deeply personal exploration of heritage. The credit list is remarkable: Moses Boyd, Binker Golding, Shabaka Hutchings, Nathaniel Cross, Peter Edwards and Shirley Tetteh all contribute to a record that now reads like a roll call of British jazz royalty. The iconic cover shot was taken by Adama Jalloh, around the corner from Brownswood's North London HQ. Upon release, Arise was met with widespread critical acclaim. The Guardian praised ""A Class Act"" and celebrated it's exploration of African-Caribbean musical lineage, while Clash Magazine described it as ""enchanting and intriguing"". All About Jazz called the album's fusion of jazz and Jamaican rhythms ""spellbinding"".As Brownswood celebrates it's 20th birthday, we're proud to return one of the label's defining releases to vinyl, with the original copies being highly sought after. Pressed on limited edition gold vinyl, this special anniversary reissue is both a celebration of Zara McFarlane's artistry and a reminder of a record that was both ahead of it's time, and whose influence resonates today.

Life Is Beautiful Again is the debut album from Nadine El Roubi, a Sudanese-born, New York-based singer, rapper, songwriter, and multidisciplinary artist. While the album can be categorized as primarily neo-soul, it's true genre remains fluid - shaped by influences in hip-hop, neosoul, and indie music. Both melancholic and powerful, introspective and self-assured, Life Is Beautiful Again explores personal and external chaos, womanhood, belonging, and the determination to maintain faith through struggle. Thematically, it marks a shift from her previous work. Where earlier releases were overtly political, defiant, and outward-facing, this album turns inward. It is softer, more reflective, and rooted in the belief that vulnerability can be it's own form of strength. Written and recorded over three years across four cities, the album carries the imprint of many different versions of a Sudanese woman navigating change, loss, love, ambition, and growth, these songs became a way of making sense of the world. At it's core, the album's message is simple: even through the ugliest of times, life will always become beautiful again.

Christoph Graupner had spent five years as an opera composer in Hamburg before the Landgrave Ernst-Ludwig called upon him to take up the position of Hofkapellmeister in Darmstadt in 1709. He became the best-paid music director of his time and would continue to define the musical style of the court until his death in 1760. His relative isolation there apparently enabled and allowed him to develop a personal style that does not exactly conform to the norms that had been set during the past centuries through the reception of Bach's monumental oeuvre; the slow rediscovery of Graupner's music has also meant that he was not included in the musical picture we now have of that era. This album presents a varied sample of Graupner's musical activities during his almost fifty years in service in Darmstadt - we hope that it will spark the listeners' curiosity to discover more of this extraordinary composer. Laura Gibson is a treasure. This lovely 10th anniversary reissue of perhaps her finest and most beloved record Empire Builder is pressed on colored vinyl and includes new liner notes by Gibson herself.Empire Builder is the name of the train that took Gibson from Portland, OR to NYC - where her life was promptly thrown into disarray following a gas explosion and ensuing apartment fire that took nearly all her possessions. The move and that terrifying experience became the catalyst for a huge leap forward for Gibson as a songwriter, composer, producer, and bandleader. The album features many of her most-streamed songs ("Damn Sure," "Two Kids," and the title track among them) and the talents of a stellar group of collaborators: Dave Depper (Death Cab for Cutie), Dan Hunt (Neko Case), Peter Broderick, Nate Query (The Decemberists) and Alela Diane. It won wide acclaim from NPR, Pitchfork, Uncut and others upon it's release, and has only gotten better with time.

There are albums you listen to... and then there are albums you experience. Spiritual Wasteland falls firmly into the second category. Originally released in 1998 on Thunderload Records, this third album from Sweden's Veni Domine stands as one of the most unique and thought-provoking entries in Christian metal. Moving beyond the epic doom foundation of their earlier work, the band leans heavily into progressive structures, atmospheric depth, and haunting keyboard-driven soundscapes-creating a record that is as introspective as it is heavy. This is progressive doomy power metal with purpose. The pacing is deliberate. The compositions unfold patiently. And the reward is a deeply immersive listening experience that reveals more with each spin. At the center of it all is vocalist Fredrik Ohlsson, delivering a powerful and dynamic performance that shifts from soaring highs to somber, reflective passages. Meanwhile, the band constructs a rich sonic landscape where guitars, bass, drums, and keys work together-not for flash, but for mood, tension, and emotional weight. Lyrically, Spiritual Wasteland explores philosophical and apocalyptic themes, painting a bleak yet compelling picture of a world in decline-while wrestling with faith, meaning, and the human condition. It's a thinking person's album, designed for listeners who want more than surface-level metal. Remastered by Rob Colwell and presented here as part of the Metal Icon Series, this long-overdue reissue finally gives the album the clarity and depth it deserves-housed in a collector-worthy package (16-page booklet with a jewel case) with updated artwork by Scott Waters (NLTM). This is not background music. This is an album to sit with-preferably late at night, lights low, and distractions gone. Part songwriter, part street photographer, Josh Rouse steps out on his new album as an itinerant documentarian capturing the drifters, dreamers, and passing strangers who slip in and out of our lives, and finding himself somewhere in the frame too. Museums and Women is Rouse at his most hopeful and romantic, balancing casual poetry with wry humor across a collection of characters who are searching but never desperate, longing but never lonely.Recorded in Nashville with longtime production partner Brad Jones (Chuck Prophet, Hayes Carll), the album came together almost by accident resulting in loose, unplanned studio sessions with Rouse on guitar, Jones on bass, and Fred Eltringham (Sheryl Crow, The Chicks) on drums, cut live and fresh, morning sessions followed by same-day overdubs. The title itself borrows from a John Updike book Rouse has always loved, and it fits: these songs treat ordinary human connection and it's absence like gallery-worthy art. From the jangly optimism of opener ""Spring"" to the bossa nova drift of ""Sunday In The Country"" to the rain-soaked wandering of ""Parnell Street,"" Rouse's narrators move through the world in transit but never lost, mapping the space between the people we long for and the people we become. ""There's always a woman involved,"" Rouse says. ""Love - or the search for it - is what ties them all together.""It's a fitting return for an artist NPR has called one of contemporary music's most engaging singer-songwriters, whose career spans from his celebrated 1998 debut Dressed Up Like Nebraska through the Goya Award-winning ""Do You Really Want To Be In Love."" Nearly three decades in, Rouse sounds unburdened and unhurried, chasing nothing but the joy of the work itself. Museums and Women is proof that the most compelling art is often found in life's quietest, most passing moments.

Nine-time GRAMMY® winner Anderson .Paak and GRAMMY®-nominated rapper Cordae have been operating on the same wavelength for years. What started as pure chemical reaction on 2019’s “RNP” slowly turned into one of hip-hop’s most natural, low-ego partnerships, fueled by back-and-forth gems like “Two Tens” and “Summer Drop” and a series of dynamic TV performances that felt more like two best friends hanging out than a polished routine. On their debut collaborative album, Heavy Is The Crown, that organic bond gets the full-length treatment it’s always deserved.
At its core, the project is a tightrope walk between serious real-life stakes and uncompromising fun. The title isn't just bravado—it speaks directly to the shared weight both artists carry as the primary providers and anchors for their families. But instead of letting that pressure crush the vibe, .Paak and Cordae lean into each other. Meeting as total equals, .Paak’s elastic, soul-drenched musicality anchors Cordae’s razor-sharp lyricism, allowing both to unpack the heavy reality of success and family responsibility without ever losing their spark.
That balance is what makes the album tick. To drive the point home, the album art pays homage to the cult comedy Step Brothers—a nod to the silly, irreverent friendship that birthed the music in the first place. Heavy Is The Crown doesn't feel like a forced corporate crossover or a calculated career move. It’s a record about brotherhood, family, and what happens when two masters of their craft step into the studio simply because nobody makes them laugh, rap, or create quite like the other.

Fishtailing across a trimmed sod lawn, the parking lot of a box-store strip mall, a fast food drive-thru-it's a hyperreal Americana fantasy that calls Caroline Rose (she/they) home on 'Gentling the Horse at the Walt Whitman Mall'. The release doubles as the debut of SUCK records, the LA based artist's own imprint-a fitting next form for an enigmatic musician whose work resists settling into one shape.'Gentling the Horse at the Walt Whitman Mall' stretches the ordinary into the uncanny. The record pairs sharply observed, memoiristic songwriting with expansive guitar textures that render the everyday with violent clarity and mythic scale. Beneath it's melodic sweep and signature hooks runs a current of violence and American dream leakage. It's Ennio Morricone with an AR15: surf guitars, spaghetti westerns, and suburban dread colliding until they become their own sharp vernacular. Reality is unstable, so we'll keep telling stories-and for Rose, the sinister slickness of the everyday grows a new head.Working with producer John Congleton, Rose built the record through humor, layering, and instinct rather than Polish. Songs like ""Conversations with Shiv,"" ""Goddamn Train,"" and ""Everything in it's Right Place"" were recorded in studio for the first time, with sessions that prized first impulses over perfection. The result is panoramic but never precious-songs that feel meticulously constructed while always threatening to mutate. Over the last six years, Rose's music has evolved alongside their work organizing around stronger labor protections and collective bargaining rights for musicians and crews. Creative and political practice have increasingly become the same project as Rose's career has taken on it's hyper-independent form. Those concerns echo throughout 'Gentling the Horse'. It's landscapes are populated by inherited systems that feel absurd yet inescapable, where humor becomes a survival tactic and satire reveals the quiet violence embedded in everyday American life.
