No additional digital limiting was used in the mastering process, so the six albums benefit from the advantage of extra clarity and pure fidelity, preserving the dynamic range of the original mixes for the very first time. The six album sleeves have been meticulously reproduced in exact detail with authentic paper and printing methods, perfectly replicated for the first time since their original release.

CURTIS HARDING could best be described as a student of the gritty, sweat-dripping, hip-swinging blues that wafted through the air of the American sixties. The offspring of a mother who sang gospel, and a retired veteran, he traveled all over the country as a child, singing alongside his parents, learning that music was in fact the great communicator, and that the key was not just in how pretty the notes were, but how if you were honest in what you were singing, you could stir a person on the inside. This is what Otis Redding knew. What Sam Cooke, and Bo Diddley, and B. B. King knew. That somehow there was a way to take your experiences, your pain and joy, and give them melody, cause them to live and breathe and massage the hearts and minds of all those who hear.

"Letting go can be a scary prospect," says Son Little. "But there's beauty in it, too. Everything you leave behind opens up space for something new in your life." That was certainly the case with his new album, Aloha, his third studio album. Recorded at Paris's iconic Studio Ferber, the entire project was an exercise in letting go, in ceding control, in surrendering to fate. While SON LITTLE (the stage name of songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Aaron Livingston) still plays nearly every instrument on the album himself, he put his songs in the hands of an outside producer for the first time here, collaborating with French studio wizard Renaud Letang (Feist, Manu Chao) to create his boldest, most self-assured statement yet. Equal parts vintage and modern, the collection blends classic soul, old-school R&B, and adventurous indie sensibilities into a timeless swirl fueled by gritty instrumental virtuosity and raw, raspy vocals. It's an ambitious work of vision and reflection, to be sure, but more than that, it's an ecstatic testament to the freedom that comes from torching the map and trusting the currents of life to carry you where you belong.Enhanced with PlayARt - Augmented Reality

Live At Great American Music Hall, San Francisco' is the classic double live album that The Meters always deserved but have never had until now. Recorded in 1975 when the classic lineup of Art Neville, Leo Nocentelli, George Porter Jr., Joseph "Zigaboo" Modeliste and new arrival Cyril Neville was at the peak of it's powers, the live set draws heavily on the band's then-most recent album 'Rejuvenation' and previews it's successor, 'Fire On The Bayou' - commonly regarded by fans and critics alike as The Meters' two best albums. Yet 'Live At Great American Music Hall, San Francisco' digs in even deeper, extending the jams close to 20 minutes with the band absolutely burning across this nine-song set. Several selections from this show appeared on a mysterious, unauthorized and highly coveted 1981 bootleg LP titled 'The Meters At Rozy's'.

I Guess I'll Never Learn is S. Fidelity's third solo album on Jakarta Records. It follows A Safe Place to Be Naked (2017) and Fidelity Radio Club (2021). It's by far the most complex project of the Swiss-born and Berlin-based artist and producer. On 13 songs, together with seven guest vocalists, he explores the circular nature of romantic relationships, structured into three acts. While S. Fidelity sings in his signature mantra-esque style over two songs, the album also features an exceptionally diverse cast of vocalists. Among them, Collard, a close collaborator of UK pop experimentalists Bakar and Kojey Radical, and Dawn Richard, a multidisciplinary, boundary defying artist from New Orleans who first rose to fame in the mid 2000s as part of the R&B group Danity Kane, only to reinvent herself in recent years as an independent artist. Heavily rooted in the ever evolving tradition of soul and R&B songwriting as well as hip-hop beat making, S. Fidelity delivers an organic sound, often played on live instruments, by himself and his collaborators like bassist Roman Klobe (of Moses Yoofee Trio), guitarist Alex Cosmo Blake (who wrote songs for Greentea Peng and 6lack), and lo-fi hip-hop icon FloFilz playing the violin.

This is The Passionate Ones. It's not an album. It's a sermon. A twelve-track exorcism howled from the underbelly of late-stage capitalism, written, produced, and conjured entirely by Marcus Brown. This ain't soul revival. This is soul revenge. Crafted between London, New York City, and Baltimore-each city leaving fingerprints on the sound-The Passionate Ones channels Marcus's global process with local truth. Born and raised in Baltimore, Brown's work is profoundly shaped by the city's rich and eclectic musical heritage, where jazz, punk, indie, hip hop, and R&B collide in raw, genre-fluid harmony. You can hear it in the tension and release, the way the tracks slip between worlds and histories. The Passionate Ones is a scream at the billboard promise of success: It was never the car that was the lie-it was the idea that you'd ever get to drive it. And Marcus Brown knows it. He's not whispering revolution. He's crying through a busted speaker with blood on the woofer. Each track hits like a confession soaked in gasoline. One of the standout moments comes on the eighth track "Jojo," featuring a vocal appearance by UK producer and vocalist Tony Bontana. His presence is haunting, grounding the song in a quiet power that amplifies the album's spiritual undercurrent without softening it's fire. This isn't just heartbreak. This is class solidarity sung through a cracked molar. Brown's voice burns as it soothes. Like that good medicine. And through the smoke, we see ourselves: overworked, underpaid, and refusing to go numb. This record isn't background noise. It's a boot to the teeth of resignation. It's love without capitalism. Faith without churches. Labor without applause. It's a blueprint for building your own altar in the ruins of the American Dream.

Grim days call for fierce love. And Mavis Staples, one of the most enduring figures in American music, is laying it down. Sad And Beautiful World is the latest solo album from a national treasure and multigenerational talent. Produced by Brad Cook, Sad And Beautiful World spans seven decades of the American songbook - a range nearly as vast as Mavis' career - and includes reinventions of timeless songs by Tom Waits, Sparklehorse, Gillian Welch, Frank Ocean and more. Cook imagined an album in the tradition of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's Will the Circle Be Unbroken, a group of artists coming together to celebrate community - in this case, one centered on Mavis. Collaborators include Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt, Jeff Tweedy, Derek Trucks, Katie Crutchfield, MJ Lenderman, and Justin Vernon. Inducted into several halls of fame (Blues, Rock, and Gospel), a Kennedy Center Honoree, a winner of multiple GRAMMYs (including a Lifetime Achievement Award), Mavis is musical history. She's collaborated with nearly every major figure of her era(s), from Bob Dylan to Prince, Aretha Franklin, and Willie Nelson - not to mention countless stars from subsequent generations.

With great anticipation, Kelela's debut album emerges as an epic portrait of an artist spanning the past and future of R&B. In her hands, however, the genre knows no boundaries and so Take Me Apart exists as an absolutely singular and fearless addition to a canon of recent classics. From her very earliest work, honesty and vulnerability have been cornerstones of Kelela's art - even when clad in the armor of the avant-garde electronics she so deftly inhabits - and Take Me Apart sees her double down on both the emotional intensity and resonance of her message as well as the sonic seeking she is renowned for. Daptone Records is proud to present The Budos Band III, unleashing The Budos Bandâ TMs brazen sound and inspiring fervor among music lovers throughout the world. Produced by Bosco Mann and TNT at Daptone Recordsâ TM House of Soul Studios in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the band's third full-length studio effort was conceived during weekly, beer-fueled Staten Island writing sessions as well as more than 150 live gigs over the last two years and recorded during a 48 hour period in January 2010. If the menacing album art, which features a cobra primed for the attack, is any indication of the music itself, we can expect an all out assault of the senses, with a tendency towards the venomous and psychedelic. "The end result," as Pitchforkmedia states, "is something so hip it could kill you in large doses "in the right doses it just plain kills."

Released in 1970, Funkadelic's self-titled debut was a radical collision of psychedelic rock, gospel, blues, and soul - a chaotic, genre-defying statement that redefined the possibilities of Black music. Where Motown aimed for Polish and crossover appeal, Funkadelic dove headfirst into distortion, improvisation, and spiritual ambiguity, offering a sound as gritty and unpredictable as the era itself. Backed by a ferocious young band - including Eddie Hazel, Billy Bass Nelson, Tawl Ross, Tiki Fulwood, and Mickey Atkins - the album rejected convention in favor of raw groove and existential noise. Tracks like "I Got a Thing..." and "What Is Soul" pulse with menace and joy, bookended by surreal monologues that echo both street philosophy and space-age gospel. As part of Org Music's Westbound Records reissue series, this edition restores the album's full impact across multiple formats. The deluxe double LP, mastered at 45RPM directly from tape by Dave Gardner at DSG Mastering, offers the highest fidelity to date. Thee Olympian, Toby Pazner, returns with In Search of a Revival–a lush bouquet of orchestral soul. A departure from the cosmic, Greco-Roman mythology themes on his debut, Pazner implements a more modern, terrestrial approach–drawing inspiration from his life and the tumultuous post pandemic age we live in. With a team of world class musicians expertly weaving his arrangements into a sonic tapestry, The Olympians deliver an impressively eclectic barrage of cinematic instrumentals. In 1974, with the release of Second Time Round, Cymande solidified their place in music history. As children of the Windrush Generation, they were part of the first wave of innovators and originators of the fledgling Black British music scene. Taking influences from their Guyanese and Jamaican roots, the band fused reggae bass lines, Afro-tinged Nyabinghi percussion, psychedelic rock touches, and American style funk instrumentation into a unique sound they dubbed as “Nyah-rock.” Second Time Around was the follow up to their self titled debut and firmly planted the band in the ears of an adoring US audience. Cymande’s Cymande was the first UK soul album to land on the Billboard charts, and Second Time Round placed them back on the US charts again. They were also the first British band to ever play the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem. Cymande’s massive influence can be heard in the dozens and dozens of samples taken from their albums over the last five decades, from pioneering DJs like DJ Kool Herc and Grandmaster Flash, to De La Soul, The Wu-Tang Clan, Gang Starr, The Coup, Sugar Hill Gang, Norman Cook/Fatboy Slim and The Fugees -- to name just a few. They stand today as one of the most revered and sampled bands to have ever cropped up across the history of Hip Hop, House, and Dance music.

Vinyl LP pressing. Reissue. Record collectors, producers and crate diggers like a good creation myth, and Skull Snaps' self-titled 'debut' had it all. A mysterious funk trio, who recorded one album under a curious name, housed it in a sleeve that looked more like a proto-metal album, and released it through a label (GSF Records) that folded shortly afterwards? Everything pointed towards the Skull Snaps album as a single totemic object, packaged in a way that predicted it's own disinterment almost twenty-five years later. For those who sampled it, myth maintenance was advantageous, both for their reputations and for their consciences. Likewise, an unsanctioned 1995 reissue on Charley Records removed the credits from the inner sleeve to further sever the record from it's context - or perhaps because the label couldn't quite face using the names of artists they had no intention of paying. Either way, owning the record was a right of passage, as Amir Abdullah once wrote: ""If you don't have Skull Snaps in your collection, your collection is weak.""
