Alliance Entertainment Dead Kennedys - Plastic Surgery Disasters (Vinyl) (New (N))
Originally released in 1982. Remastered from original tapes. Includes a 28 page booklet. The epic sweep of PLASTIC SURGERY DISASTERS, in both sonic texture and thematic depth, sets it apart as one of punk's most highly evolved musical and artistic statements. Vocalist Jello Biafra's rage had developed into a calmer but more strident kind of anger. Fortified by a wider variety of sounds, including horns, clarinets, and East Bay Ray's rich palette of aggressive guitar textures, this album attacked the usual DK targets. Our bloated, mentally lazy consumer culture is lambasted in the thick, intimidating 'Buzzbomb' and the stingingly sarcastic 'Winnebago Warrior.' Several of society's more insidious archetypes are taken on as well, as in the goofy 'Terminal Preppie,' and the furious, adrenaline-fueled 'Well Paid Scientist.' Firmly in place are Biafra's trademark paranoid anti-government diatribes; society's false sense of security is addressed in the breakneck-speed rant of 'Government Flu,' the far-reaching metaphor of 'Trust Your Mechanic,' and the angry theatrics of 'I Am The Owl.'The Dead Kennedys: Jello Biafra (vocals); East Bay Ray (guitar); Klaus Flouride (bass); D.H. Pelligro (drums). Digitally remastered by John Cuniberti and East Bay Ray (The Plant Mastering, Sausalito, California). Additional personnel includes: Melissa Webber (spoken vocals); Dave Barrett, Geoffrey Lyall, Bruce Ackely (horns); Ninotchka (background vocals). Producers: Thom Wilson, East Bay Ray, The Dead Kennedys, Geza X. Engineers: Olivier DiCicco, John Cuniberti, Mark Wallner. Recorded at Hyde Street Studios and Mobius Music, San Francisco, California.Track List Advice from Christmas Past Government Flu Terminal Preppie Trust Your Mechanic Well Paid Scientist Buzzbomb Forest Fire Halloween Winnebago Warrior Riot Bleed for Me I Am the Owl Dead End Moon Over Marin

Alliance Entertainment Bad Religion - New Maps of Hell (Vinyl) (New (N))
In a world ruled increasingly by superstition and intolerance, Bad Religion's rousing wall-of-sound punk seems about as necessary now as ever before. It is the impassioned sound of reason, anthems of a bittersweet idealism and a guarded hope set to propulsive guitars and charging drumbeats. And while most groups with even half the artistic output have long ago morphed into stylistic self parody, Bad Religion is currently surging forward with a renewed creative intensity. Their fourteenth album is both a nod to the band's defiant past and an undeniable step forward in the evolution of a genre they helped define.Track List 52 Seconds Heroes ; Martyrs Germs of Perfection New Dark Ages Requiem for Dissent Before You Die Honest Goodbye Dearly Beloved Grains of Wrath Murder Scrutiny Prodigal Son Grand Delusion Lost Pilgrim Submission Complete Fields of Mars

Unquestionably Portland's most well-loved punk group, they formed in the late 70's & in 1980 released their debut LP. 12 songs of stabbing, jittery guitar, snapped vocals, & unabashed teen angst. Full of desperation & yearning, the LP has stood as a blueprint for wretched youth for over 25 yrs. In the early 90's it was given mainstream attention when Nirvana covered 2 tracks off the record & Cobain announced it was one of the primary influences on his group.Track List Return Of The Rat Mystery Up Front Let’s Go Let’s Go Away Is This Real? Alliance Entertainment The Offspring - Smash (Vinyl) (New (N))
Smash is the third studio album by American punk rock band The Offspring. After touring in support of their previous album, Ignition (1992), The Offspring began recording Smash in October 1993 at Track Record in North Hollywood, California. Recording and production were finished two months later, and the album was released on April 8, 1994 on Epitaph Records. Smash incorporates elements of punk rock and grunge. In the United States, Smash has sold over six million copies and has been certified 6x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Peaking at number four on the US Billboard 200, it has sold over 11 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling independent label album of all time. It was also the first album released on Epitaph Records to obtain gold and platinum status. Smash was The Offspring's introduction into worldwide popularity and critical acclaim, and produced a number of hit singles including the hugely successful "Come Out and Play", "Self Esteem" and "Gotta Get Away" singles. Alongside Bad Religion's Stranger than Fiction, Green Day's Dookie and Rancid's... And Out Come the Wolves, Smash was responsible for bringing punk rock back into mainstream, and helped define the sound of the emerging pop punk scene in the 1990s. As a fan-favorite, the album received generally positive reviews from critics and garnered attention from major labels, including Columbia Records, with whom The Offspring would sign in 1996. Smash is the only release where the band was referred to as "Offspring".Track List Nitro (Youth Energy) Bad Habit Gotta Get Away Genocide Something to Believe in Come Out and Play (Keep 'Em Separated) Self Esteem It'll Be a Long Time Killboy Powerhead - the Offspring Didjits What Happened to You? Alliance Entertainment Green Day - Kerplunk [With 7" Single] (Vinyl) (New (N))
Green Day's second full album was the perfect dry run for the band's later assault on the mainstream, containing both more variety and more flat-out smashes than previous releases had shown. With Tre Cool now firmly in place as the drummer, the lineup was at last settled, and it turned out Cool and Mike Dirnt were a perfect rhythm section, with the former showing a bit more flash and ability than John Kiftmeyer did. Together the two throw in a variety of guitarless breaks that would later help to define the band's sound for many - warm and never letting the beat go. As for Billie Joe Armstrong, his puppy-dog delivery and eternal switching between snotty humor and sudden sorrrow was better than ever, as were his instantly memorable riffs. The metal-strength chug that always informed the band's best work isn't absent either - check out Armstrong's opening riffing on "Christie Road." the whole thing starts with a note-perfect bang - "2000 Light Years Away" is the absolute highlight of the group's premajor-label days, with a great chorus and classic yearning lyrics. It got buried in the wave of Dookie's success a bit, but one other number didn't - "Welcome to Paradise," also a standout on that album, appears here in it's original form. Rob Cavallo punched up the radio-friendly sound on the latter take, but even here it's a treat and a half - quick, rampaging, and once again with a great stop-start chorus to spare. This vinyl version is on pressed on 180 gram vinyl.Track List 2000 Light Years Away One for the Razorbacks Welcome to Paradise Christie RD Private Ale Dominated Love Slave One of My Lies 80 Android No One Knows Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? Alliance Entertainment Refused - The Shape Of Punk To Come (Vinyl) (New (N))
Originally released in 1998, the Shape of Punk to Come "blurs the lines that separate punk, metal and hardcore, while peppering this brutal fusion with bits of techno percussion, jazzy rhythmic change-ups and long, complex song structures that support politically-charged messages," (CMJ, 1998). Refused's most critically acclaimed and final album exploded on the scene with the jaw-dropping hardcore anthem "New Noise," which Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello once described as "one of the great rock jams of all time" (Filter, 2006), and helped change the game forever influencing a range of genres still to this day.Track List Worms of the Senses/Faculties of the Skull Liberation Frequency The Deadly Rhythm Summerholidays Vs. Alliance Entertainment Social Distortion - Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes (Vinyl) (New (N))
Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes builds on singer Mike Ness twin footings, one in the haunted American landscapes of Hank Williams and the other in the raw swagger of Exile era Rolling Stones. While these twin pillars have always been behind Social Distortion's anthemic songs, on Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes they come roaring to the fore, in one of the hardest rocking, most soulful albums of Ness's career. From opener California (Hustle and Flow), in a song with enough attitude to redline a '40 Merc, to the dark rockin' cover of Hank William's Alone and Forsaken longtime fans will find the trademark punk roar they love. New fans, too, will be drawn to Ness' maturing songwriting and vocals. Ness produced Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes (his first time at the production helm) with an eye to his rock and roll legacy, and it's not hard to imagine fans of Springsteen or Petty rocking out to these timeless songs.Track List Road Zombie California (Hustle and Flow Gimme the Sweet and Lowdown Diamond in the Rough Machine Gun Blues Bakersfield Far Side of Nowhere Alone and Forsaken Writing on the Wall Can't Take It with You Still Alive
