Few bands embodied the raw spirit of American rock & roll like Flat Duo Jets. Fronted by the late, great Dexter Romweber, the North Carolina duo's frenetic energy, primal guitar tone, and unfiltered swagger became the missing link between Gene Vincent and Jack White. Recorded in 1989 during sessions for their iconic debut album, the 13 tracks on Boogie On Your Head! Capture the Flat Duo Jets at their peak, being loose, wild, and unstoppable. These aren't outtakes but expanded possibilities for the debut: equally vital, equally ferocious, and left unreleased only because there was simply too much fire to fit on one LP.Originally included as part of the limited deluxe vinyl box set for Record Store Day 2017, and later released individually on vinyl for RSD 2026 as a Limited-Edition pressing of 1,500 copies on rose-splatter colored vinyl, complete with an exclusive fold-out poster. This release marks the first standalone CD edition of Boogie On Your Head!, lovingly curated by Propeller Sound Recordings as a companion to the band's self-titled debut. For collectors and fans alike, it's a chance to experience the full scope of the sessions that launched one of the most mythic cult bands in American garage rock.Dexter Romweber's passing in 2024 reignited appreciation for his seismic influence, spanning from Jack White's early sound and ethos to Cat Power's haunting minimalism to Neko Case's fearless individuality. "Boogie On Your Head!" serves as both a tribute and time capsule, capturing the essence of a band whose rawness inspired a generation of artists.

Beloved Black hardcore band Soul Glo - Pierce Jordan (vocals) and TJ Stevenson (drums) - are back with their best album yet, NA I'm GON GRAB ALLAT, out January 15 from Epitaph. Following the release of their acclaimed-by-NPR, Pitchfork and more 2022 album Diaspora Problems (14M+ streams to date), Soul Glo toured extensively, including playing Coachella and a set as the first hardcore Tiny Desk Concert. After staging diving off the famous Tiny Desk, Soul Glo recorded at Foto Club in Philadelphia, with production and engineering handled by Evan Bernard. The result is the astounding, NA I'm GON GRAB ALLAT, a punk ripper that retains the band's unique experimental edge, with cascading riffs, Jordan's mile-a-minute vocals and incisive lyrics, and Stevenson's inimitable drumming. NA I'm GON GRAB ALLAT is simultaneously more intense and more approachable than Diaspora Problems, maintaining the band's breakneck punk base while delving into abrasive hip-hop and noise, with assists from experimental rap king MIKE, Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio, Southern rapper BbyMutha, Tati Salazar of Le Sirèn and Commitment, and avant-garde metal hero Eugene Robinson. Throughout NA I'm GON GRAB ALLAT's fourteen unforgettable songs, Jordan speaks on the Black experience within the punk/hardcore scene and everyday life, resentment, anxieties around relationships, drug abuse, self-discovery, and breaking down the, quote unquote, male loneliness epidemic. He dedicates the album to "everyone who has known the joy and pain of loving a man. All different types of love: platonic, romantic, familial, self." As you listen, you can hear the love, care, and complication that go into creating a complex and powerful album like Soul Glo's NA I'm GON GRAB ALLAT.

On June 9, 2025, Rolling Stone Magazine- Australia captured the significance of Parkway Drive's landmark performance at the Sydney Opera House with the headline: "The AC/DC of Their Generation': Parkway Drive Deliver Career-Defining Performance at Sydney Opera House." The one-night-only event brought the Byron Bay metalcore legends into the Concert Hall for an unprecedented black-tie affair, pairing their explosive live show with the grandeur of a full symphonic orchestra.Bringing Parkway Drive's music to one of the world's most recognizable venues was an ambitious move for a band already celebrated for pushing the boundaries of live performance. Yet seeing the group's signature intensity framed by a symphony orchestra revealed a new emotional dimension to songs built for arenas and festivals. The result was both intimate and monumental-a rare collision of metal, orchestration, and occasion that transformed the Concert Hall into something entirely it's own.The context of the performance only heightened it's impact. Marketed as a historic black-tie celebration that would never be repeated, the event became one of the most coveted Parkway Drive shows in the band's history, selling out instantly and leaving countless fans outside the room. For those unable to witness it in person, Home - Live at the Sydney Opera House finally brings this extraordinary night to a wider audience, alongside a feature film and live album documenting this career-spanning performance. At it's heart, Home is also a reflection on what "home" has meant to Parkway Drive over two decades. As their reach has expanded from Byron Bay to stages around the world, their connection to the landscapes, people, and community that shaped them has remained central. Now, that journey comes full circle at one of Australia's most iconic landmarks.

We worked closely with surviving members of The Nerves, Paul Collins and Peter Case along with Jack Lee's daughter Cynthia to bring The Nerves - Best Collection to you.Unlike previous releases that often relied on secondary copies or rips from vinyl and CDs, we were able to locate the original source recordings and have Warren Defever master/remaster them at Third Man Mastering in Detroit for this release. This is what makes this record so special-it features the definitive versions of these tracks as they were originally intended, some have not been heard since the day they were recorded. After his legendary 1970s recordings became foundational totems of modern reggae, influential musician and producer Augustus Pablo continued to unearth new expressions of his singular sound throughout the two decades that followed. Whether elevating his dub mastery with digital techniques or expanding the instrumental palette on his bass-heavy melodica grooves, the pioneering Jamaican artist remained an innovator throughout his limited time in this world. Released just a few weeks before his untimely passing in 1999, "Valley Of Jehosaphat" was the final album from Augustus Pablo and an enduring statement from an artist who always remained true to his vision. With production values far exceeding the grainy classics of his early career, the collection's spellbinding instrumental arrangements resound with clarity, capturing the peaceful essence of Pablo's creativity. Now, "Valley Of Jehosaphat" is receiving a full vinyl release for the first time ever. Courtesy of Nature Sounds and the relaunched Rockers International, this 2LP vinyl edition also includes five bonus tracks highlighting rare 1990s Augustus Pablo material.

The album title is apt, as this was saxman Rudolph Johnson's second album for the Black Jazz label. But more importantly, the quality of the music it contains renders the more common, Messianic meaning of the phrase ""the second coming"" equally applicable. Saxman and bandleader Rudolph Johnson never attained the commercial success of some of his contemporaries, but his fans consider him the rightful heir to John Coltrane's improvisational genius. And with keyboardist Kirk Lightsey in the band for this go-round, sparks are gonna fly, starting right off with the cookin' album opener ""The Traveler,"" which if you close your eyes will definitely bring to mind Coltrane's classic quartet circa the early '60s. Indeed, unlike most of the other releases on the Black Jazz label, The Second Coming barely nods to the fusion and soul jazz trends that were sweeping jazz at the time. Instead, this is expressive, free improvisation at it's best, beautifully recorded by producer Gene Russell and deserving of a much wider audience than it found the first time. Remastered and annotated, and limited to 500 blue with black swirl copies!

Americana royalty and Blaze Foley's Austin running buddy, Lucinda Williams, anchors an assemblage of thirteen contemporary artists covering classic early Blaze recordings. Lucy Dacus, Uncle Lucius, Phosphorescent, John R. Miller, and Angela Autumn, along with seven other songwriter artists contribute tracks reflecting early recordings from Blaze's 'tree house' days in Georgia. Those recordings were originally released by Lost Art Records as 'Sittin' by the Road' in 2010 from demos made by Blaze in the mid 1970s.Other artists contributing tracks to the project are Willie Watson, Cactus Lee, Dylan Earl, Riley Downing, Joshua Ray Walker, Twain, and John Moreland. At the time of Blaze's tragic murder in 1989 he was little known outside of Austin's renegade songwriter circles. He is now revered among the pantheon of Texas' great songwriters. Townes Van Zandt and Lucinda Willliams both penned moving tributes to Blaze. His songs have been covered by John Prine, Merle Haggard, Lyle Lovett, Billy Strings, and Willie Nelson. This project will expand Blaze's reach to a new audience.

Star Moles is the project of Emily Moales, a New Hampshire ex-pat reborn and perfected in Philadelphia PA, aka Benjamin Franklin’s town. Since she first laid sound to digital tape in 2017, she has been doing what any great artist should be doing: making art, refining her craft, and finding her voice at her own pace and in relative anonymity. Over those years, she’s explored many versions of herself. Her previous releases (seven full-length LPs, multiple EPs, and countless singles) were often fantastical and conceptual in nature, taking inspiration from literature and mythology. It was a necessary escapism for herself as a teenager in sleepy New England, and as a young adult amid the dull dread of a global pandemic.
She’s now 27, and still doesn’t get out that much, but these days, she doesn’t feel the need to reach that far away for inspiration. Moales has traded in high-concept for high impact.
She finds herself drawn to making music that sounds like the music she loves and singing about her life in beautiful Philadelphia. She also remains rooted in our current world historic moment, touching on topics like religious fanaticism, environmental collapse, and the unabashed ascent of fascism in America. Her transcendent fifth full-length album is called Highway to Hell. AC/DC, eat your fucking heart out.
Put simply, this album is a major statement of intent, signaling the arrival of a singular talent, primed for a breakthrough. Moales is a major player in a young, hungry stable of mind-boggingly prolific artists flying under the radar in Philly's ever-vibrant music scene. Highway to Hell was produced by Kevin Basko (Rubber Band Gun) and features vital contributions from members of Emily and Kevin’s Historic NJ Recordings creative collective, including Sam Sullivan (guitar) and Jem Seidel (drums).

Featuring tracks including "Bland Street Bloom," "Flogging the Horses," "Sanguine Seas of Bigotry" and "Part of the Friction," it's influence can be heard across a generation of progressive metal bands. For it's 20th anniversary, the album has been completely remixed by Adam "Nolly" Getgood of Periphery, bringing new clarity, weight and detail to this seminal record. Having long cited Death of a Dead Day and bassist James Leach's playing as formative influences on himself and Periphery, Nolly's involvement brings the story full circle. Released in the year 2000, The Jazz June's third album The Medicine is widely regarded to be among the most influential emo albums of all time. Equal parts raw, melodic, and heavy, The Medicine was written and recorded at a time when emo and post-hardcore were still taking shape in the buzzing, nebulous realms of underground and indie rock. Alongside forebears like Mock Orange and Built to Spill, The Jazz June prized dynamic songwriting unconcerned with traditional structure and tropes. Instead, they emphasized stretched-out songs with hairpin turns, dueling guitars, and frenetic energy, all connected by an experimental, take-a-chance spirit, resulting in a genre-defining album that boasts the full range of turn-of-the-century emo and post-hardcore.

The Dirty Three forged from a need t o pay the rent in 1993. The main concern was to try and take a band photo in a rehearsal, albeit brief. The band originally played background MUZAK in the corner of a bar, a bar probably not too dissimilar from your living room. The band's volume outgrew the venue, s o they took o n stages, stages with PA's. There was also some problem about a stolen mop bucket.Dirty Three's music has been called lyrical, passionate, original, inspiring, and has earned them admiration and renown across the globe, from their home in Australia, to New Orleans to New York City and back again.

We hope you enjoy it.

Kalia Vandever and Dave Harrington team up for their first collaboration together with the debut album Evergreen. The two met in 2025 while Vandever was supporting Harrington on the road during the DARKSIDE tour in North America. Vandever is an accomplished trombonist and composer whose albums have brought them all over the world, performing at jazz festivals and clubs. Harrington, often known for his revolutionary band DARKSIDE, is one of music's great guitarists who has created a world around his playing blending genres of jazz, electronic, and more. The duo's debut album Evergreen is the confluence o f these elements. A blend of jazz and electronic music that feels all their own.Recorded over a three-day period i n Los Angeles during February 2026, Vandever and Harrington hunkered down in the Sudden Quarterly studios during a pummeling rainstorm. The feeling and atmosphere during the sessions was introspective and emotional, two sentiments that aren't often associated with the usually sunny city of LA. Harrington's guitar is sometimes a wall of sound, reflecting the downpours outside, and at other moments it is gentle and reflective. Feelings o f stillness, nostalgia, and longing are conveyed by the trombone playing of Vandever. At times soaring and triumphant and others breathy and insular, Vandever draws the listener into their world. These two great artists welcome the listener into an entirely new space that has yet t o appear on either o f their respective solo albums. Sometimes the music is dark and electronic with prominent drum machines, samples, and heavy guitars. At other times the songs are intimate and melodic, with brass leading the songs and the guitar tones feeling personal and close. Kalia Vandever and Dave Harrington create a powerful album with Evergreen that is equally heartbreaking and joyous.

In the realm of past-life regression hypnotherapy, there is a concept known as ""Life Between Lives,"" wherein a sacred exchange of energy occurs between two souls in the spirit world, helping a spirit fully understand and forgive a being who hurt them in a past life. This exchange -Â called ""passing the cup of sorrows"" -Â became the unexpected inspiration for William Basinski's first new album in six years. While sinking deeper into the daily abyss of our collective negativity bias, William Basinski stumbled upon a video describing the spiritual hypnotherapy exercise known as ""passing the cup of sorrows."" Fixed on the glow of a screen that projected mounting anxiety and cynicism at a seemingly interminable pace, Basinski found the testimonials of this fascinating therapeutic practice to be profoundly moving. He sat at his piano, translating the transformation of those traumatic memories of past lives into cathartic tears of the present day. Channeling the quiet curiosity and asymmetrical patterns of pioneering 20th Century composer, Morton Feldman, Passing the Cup of Sorrows is a single 40-minute piece that employs a solitary piano and subtle electronics to truly haunting effect. It recalls fragments of traumatic memories and projects them as fractals in a slow-moving soft focus that's as eerie as it is enlightened.

Welcome back The Charities, a sweet soul-loving 5 piece from sunny California. They are back on Colemine with their second 45, and lots more on the way. The A-side, 'Movin' on,' is a song written by good friend of the band and producer Anthony Masino. Tracked and mixed at Penrose Recorders in Riverside, CA, the song is a breakup classic. Full of soul, it's a hard reflection of life's decisions. A powerful song that gets straight to the point; both sonically sad and triumphant. On the B is "I'm Still Learning How." Heavily inspired by many great 60s songs featuring two-part harmonies, the song expresses that love is a learning curve. Just because things don't work out initially doesn't mean you can't grow and learn.
