Lockstep is a Nashville-based band pulling elements from shoegaze, doom and heavy rock. They've built a sound rooted in atmosphere and weight, moving between quiet, uneasy moments and crushing walls of noise. With each release, the band has tightened their approach-cutting excess and focusing on impact. Their debut full-length, I Know What I Saw, out through Profound Lore Records stands as the band's most focused and complete statement to date. Following the release of several singles (their last being the "Drag Along" single from 2025), their Arrival EP from 2023, and already having a decent number of shows and tours under their belt (notable past tours include runs with Prize Horse and Gumm), I Know What I Saw leans into massive, slow-burning riffs and dense, layered guitars that stay engaging without letting up, locking into sections that feel both hypnotic and suffocating. Songs stretch and build with purpose, pulling listeners deeper into the band's world while keeping a constant sense of tension and release. It's the clearest and most realized version of Lockstep yet.

Long Ryder guitarist/mandolinist Sid Griffin states 'High Noon Hymns' is "two thirds the distilled altcountry genre we helped found back in the 1980s, one third Paisley Underground adventurism yet with a dash of our own crazed soulfulness thrown in." Due to the unexpected passing of Long Ryders' bassist Tom Stevens, bass duties on the new album were shared by Murry Hammond of Americana stalwarts The Old 97s and The Long Ryders' own Stephen McCarthy. McCarthy also performs live with The Jayhawks and occasionally records with the Dream Syndicate. Guests appearing in the album include DJ Bonebrake of X on vibes and young bluegrass wunderkind Wyatt Ellis on mandolin. The album was recorded at Kozy Tone Studios in sunny Poway, California.

Look Outside Your Window is Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Sid Wilson, and Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan, who in the downtime during recording sessions for Slipknot's 2008 album All Hope Is Gone, began to freely create songs for themselves, exploring new directions with no outside expectations. Over the years, the existence of this project has seen coverage in outlets including Vice, Revolver, NME, Kerrang!, and countless others, and the fans have only grown louder in their demand to hear this album. LORD OF THE LOST bring their ambitious album trilogy to a brilliant finale with OPVS NOIR Vol. 3. A direct continuation of OPVS NOIR Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, which were both unveiled in 2025, it releases on April 10, 2026 and gloriously expands on the genre-defying band’s opus. The most out of the box of the three, the third and final part of their latest journey has the six-piece end this chapter of their career on a fulminant high note, intertwining heavy guitars and dark electronica with compassionate messages and cinematic orchestrals. Another 11 enchanting songs extend the Hamburg-based band’s colorful repertoire. Following the captivating BLOOD & GLITTER, which brought them to the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 and a #1 chart entry in their native Germany to go along with it, LORD OF THE LOST once again demonstrate their unmatched diversity. Initiated by beautiful cello melodies, “Kill The Lights” is an overture like no other, setting a dark mood, but also unafraid to switch it up to make room for catchy and reassuring “I’m A Diamond” featuring Alea, frontman of German medieval metal torchbearers SALTATIO MORTIS. “My Funeral”, despite the name, picks up the positive message, expanding the near-gothic soundscapes while sprinkling in tongue-in-cheek lyrics, promoting black as a happy color – wear pink to their funeral! Stomping “I Hate People” invites horror punk icon WEDNESDAY 13 to an industrial duet about equality, after which gentle “The Shadows Within” hits twice as hard with its symphonic arrangement. Next, Chris Harms and parting KISSIN’ DYNAMITE frontman Hannes Braun deliver the bombastic “La Vie Est Hell” (based on Charles Baudelaire’s influential book of poetry, “Les Fleurs du mal”) partly in French language, before going back to “Square One”. “When Did The Love Break?” is a heartfelt song of lost love – the addition of whimsical vocals by Ambre Vourvahis of XANDRIA drives the emotions of this universal topic right home. After “Your Love Is Colder Than Death”, LORD OF THE LOST team up with Damien Edwards of British glam rock band CATS IN SPACE for the captivating duet “Take Me Far Away”, before the album closes with a ballad, “The Days Of Our Lives” – the sweeping track simultaneously being the closest LORD OF THE LOST have ever been to a cinematic soundtrack. The happy ending is skipped, almost making it sound like a goodbye… OPVS NOIR Vol. 3 continues to walk LORD OF THE LOST’s unpredictable journey without settling for the familiar. Rounding off an impressive trilogy, this record takes you by the hand and guides you along your darkest paths. OPVS NOIR Vol. 3: the trilogy is finally concluded.

Early Days (2016-2019) is a new collection of previously unreleased songs dating to the singer and songwriter's teen years. A prolific songwriter from a young age, Tapia spent his teenage years writing and recording song after song in his parents' living room, using little more than a guitar and an old four-track recorder. In 2019, Stones Throw released what would become Los Retros' breakout single "Someone to Spend Time With" a viral hit that has since been certified Gold. While the track and subsequent EPs Retrospect and Looking Back introduced millions to Los Retros' dreamy, lo-fi sound, a huge amount of music from that formative era has been unheard - until now.

Odisea, Los Retros' highly anticipated debut album, aims to emulate the iconic City Pop sound of the 1980s. A more articulate musical endeavour from the young singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Tapia first captured hearts with the lo-fi magic of "Someone To Spend Time With", a track he recorded at the age of 17 on a humble four-track in his parents' living room. Now 25, the Oxnard native has stepped into an entirely new season of life.Through it all, he's kept the same DIY spirit, still writing and recording every note himself, only now in a home studio of his own.

An ambient symphony of ethereal decay, upgraded to 21st century classic status. Tracked at home in '92 with a 12-string guitar, 4 track recorder, looping pedal, infinite reverb, and the textured coos of enigmatic vocalist Melissa Arpin Duimstra, Scott Cortez's loveliescrushing project transformed post-adolescent bedroom daydreaming into a serene, moonlit float on an endless sea. If you haven't yet been introduced to Lowertown - the enigmatic band comprised of Olivia Osby and Avsha Weinberg - now's the perfect time. It's taken a few years for the New York-based duo to catch their breath: after teetering on the brink of collapse for years due to label disputes, creative frustrations, and an unhealthy attachment to their artistic partnership, the band was due for a reset. Their new album Ugly Duckling Union - out May 22nd on Summer Shade - starts with a composed exhale from Osby, a symbolic moment that sets the scene for their most thoughtful, uninhibited, catchy, and eccentric collection of songs yet. Ugly Duckling Union is a concept album based on the band's own experiences of forging a community through their music. Duckling protagonist Dale and his companions band together to defeat LBH, a tyrannical media corporation set on separating and isolating in their pursuit of control. The album's physical packaging includes a handbook filled with lore and illustrated comics by Doctor Nowhere (Silias Orion). Beyond that, fans can dive even deeper with plush dolls and a playable Minecraft world inspired by Ugly Duckling Union. Inspired by the conceptual creativity of bands like Gorillaz and the emphasis on the communal concert experience of Fugazi, Lowertown fuses online & in-person fandoms into one complete experience. Lowertown are perhaps best known for their affecting musings on the melancholia of youth, always captured with biting honesty. But on Ugly Duckling Union, that anguish is funneled through a more mature, detached, and humorous lens. Weinberg describes their previous lyrics as "knee-jerk reactions," compared to the more considered and self-aware writing of this LP. "Mice Protection" pokes fun at Osby's tortured inability to make decisions, "Forgive Yourself" is a blunt yet compassionate meditation on shame, and "I Like You a Lot" is a rare Lowertown love song, detailing the physical sensations of infatuation. Ugly Duckling Union was fully written, recorded, produced, and mixed by Osby and Weinberg, and that insular, hands-on ethic is something they cherish-and has never waned. Although Lowertown are the sole caretakers of their art, their new album title is a celebration of the meaningful community they've built. "Our home has been the people who make us feel understood, and the music that makes us feel understood," Osby explains. "I feel like Avsha and I have just been two misfits doing stuff together, and I feel like this music is for people like us-it's for the misfit toys. " There's a lot of freedom in being an outsider, and that's ultimately what Ugly Duckling Union is about- finding and freeing yourself through community. And what could be more freeing, self-confronting, and funny than making a beautiful record with your ride-or-die, misfit-toy best friend?

Over the years, Lsd and the Search for God's cult-like following within the underground psych/space/shoegaze community has remained as passionate as ever, and this new EP picks up where they last left off-then blasts off for parts unknown."Heaven," "(I Don't Think That We Should) Take It Slow," and "Elizabeth" showcase the band at their best-swirling, reverb-drenched guitar chords, intertwined with shimmering male/female vocals-while "Outer Space" and "Without You" slow it down a bit and throw hazy, psychedelic guitar riffs into the mix. The obvious comparison to the Creation Records sound in it's heyday is appropriate, yet LSD have definitely taken that noise and made it all their own.Make no mistake: Lsd and the Search for God are here-now more than ever-and they're ready to solidify their rightful place as the sonic harbingers of blissed-out rock 'n' roll!

For nearly a decade, Lucia has been carving out her place as an artist in the UK indie scene. Her latest record, Picking Petals, is the culmination of that hard graft and bold vision — an album rooted in her Scottish upbringing and shaped by the creative community she has built around her in Glasgow and beyond, featuring collaborations with Lauren Mayberry of CHVRCHES and Abigail Morris of The Last Dinner Party.
Lucia’s debut, Burning Castles, was streamlined and statuesque, built on metronomic beats and synth-led pop. The intention behind Picking Petals sharpened into focus in the face of this. This time, it was crucial to capture the essence of Lucia & The Best Boys’ live shows— loud and electric. In recent years, Fairfull has shared bills with a new wave of women in alternative music: joining Wolf Alice on their Blue Weekend tour in 2022 and, more recently, opening for the aforementioned The Last Dinner Party. In summer 2024, she toured alongside fellow Scottish icon Shirley Manson on the UK and European leg of Garbage’s live shows.
The Scottish synchronicity feels poignant. This rich and historical landscape is where Picking Petals came to be, Lucia heading north to write in weather-beaten bothies alongside the band or in solitude. Likewise, the songwriter was insistent that acclaimed alt-pop producer Yves Rothman experience her stomping ground rather than sun-drenched LA, hunkering down in Mogwai’s Castle of Doom studios, a Glasgow townhouse transformed into a citadel of sound. For some people, Picking Petals will be a coming-of-age album. For Lucia & The Best Boys, it’s just coming home.

Throughout her long career, Lucinda Williams has never shied away from writing about difficult but real things. If you think about it, you could call "Change The Locks" a topical song ahead of its time. There were several biting and brave songs on her Good Souls Better Angels album, as well as the post-Covid masterpiece Stories From A Rock N Roll Heart. With World’s Gone Wrong, Lucinda ups the ante on topical songs. It is a pure reflection of our very turbulent times, intense and musically powerful.

Their 1973 debut album introduced the world to their unmistakable blend of blues, country, and hard rock. Despite the unimaginable loss, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s legacy endured, and their music remained a beacon of Southern rock.In 1987, the band reformed with Ronnie’s younger brother, Johnny Van Zant, taking the lead as lead vocalist. Lynyrd Skynyrd continued to tour and record, with guitarist Rickey Medlocke returning to the fold in 1996. The recording of the original Skynyrd's last LP was quite a saga, with sessions in Miami and Doraville and several songs re-recorded or dropped. This reissue finally unites these tracks with the album they were meant for: The Miami versions of I Never Dreamed and You Got That Right ; the scrapped songs Sweet Little Missy and Georgia Peaches ; the autobiographical Jacksonville Kid, plus the hit What's Your Name and the rest of the original LP!

Dark Sky Reservation, L.Y.R.'s third commercial release, begins with the idea that the furthest points of light - stars - can only be seen in the dark. It's a kind of contradiction that finds musical expression in these new tracks, the band always navigating towards sightings of hopefulness and constancy in an increasingly bewildering and storm-battered world. Dark sky reservations are those regions of the landscape where light pollution is discouraged and even outlawed, to allow scientists and casual stargazers to peer into the cosmos and see the glory of the constellations, patterns of light that have entranced and mystified us for hundreds of thousands of years. Ten years since their formation L.Y.R. are creating some of their finest and most accomplished work. Dark Sky Reservation follows a decade of inventiveness and world building that has included two full length studio albums, a concept record about a street in Barnsley, an orchestral ode to the Shipping Forecast for the BBC Proms, commissions for the National Trust, Durham Brass Festival and more.

Over nearly two decades, composer / multi-instrumentalist M. Geddes Gengras has released an enormous catalog of wide-ranging, synth-focused music in solo and collaborative settings. He has participated in influential experimental groups like Sun Araw, Pocahaunted, Robedoor, and Akron/Family. Along with Sun Araw's Cameron Stallones and a host of Jamaican singers and artists, Gengras blurs the boundaries of dub and electronic music under the banner of Duppy Gun Productions. His solo works have appeared on labels including Room40, Leaving Records, Holy Mountain, and Umor Rex. After many years living in Los Angeles, Gengras now calls upstate New York home.M. Geddes Gengras returns to Hausu Mountain with Guest List, his fourth entry in the label's catalog since 2019 and the first to be issued on vinyl. His albums for HausMo have ranged from the topographical ambient synth networks of I Am The Last of That Green and Warm-Hued World (HAUSMO88, 2019), to the dense technoid beat experiments of Time Makes Nothing Happen (HAUSMO109, 2020), to the lush post-rock-adjacent harmonic architectures of Expressed, I Noticed Silence (HAUSMO127, 2022). On Guest List, Gengras composes the most ambitious song cycle that he has ever captured in the context of one album, weaving his own synths and electronics into a dense tapestry of contrasting genres and ideas all animated by the presence of an enormous cast of collaborators. In Gengras's hands, the infinite-limbed drum performances of Greg Fox, the ecstatic guitar explorations of Ben Chasny (Six Organs of Admittance), the soaring vocalizations of Christina Carter (Charalambides), and the contributions of many more artists become individual brushstrokes to paint across the canvases of his dense mixes. Channeling sonic details from his wide circle of friends, Gengras broadens his range of expression and composes the most communal and ultimately personal program of music in his bottomless catalog.
