Alliance Entertainment Pre-Order: Fireboy Dml - Zuko [Colored Vinyl] (Red) (LP) (New (N))
Global Afrobeats powerhouse Fireboy DML officially enters his next era with the release of his fifth studio album, ZUKO!-an 11-track masterclass in versatility, vision, and vulnerability. Renowned for seamless genre-blending and evocative songwriting, the Nigerian singer-songwriter expands the boundaries of his signature sound, fusing Afrobeats, R&B, and Afropop into a cohesive, high-intensity body of work. The project is driven by bold collaborations and undeniable anthems, including the high-energy viral hit 'CLAAT!' featuring Jamaican dancehall heavy-hitter Masicka, and the soul-stirring 'IMALI' alongside award-winning duo JAZZWRLD & Thukuthela.Rooted in a visual direction introduced earlier this year, the album's aesthetic pairs grainy, high-contrast black-and-white visuals with vivid red accents, mirroring it's central themes of intensity and transformation. Evoking the iconic character arc of Prince Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Fireboy channels a parallel narrative of passion, identity, internal conflict, and ultimate redemption-crafting a project that feels as cinematic as it is personal.Since his explosive 2019 debut album Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps, Fireboy DML has established himself as a dominant voice in the global music landscape. His impressive catalog includes the RIAA Platinum-certified phenomenon 'Peru' (and it's Billboard Hot 100-charting remix featuring Ed Sheeran), the RIAA Gold-certified smash 'Bandana' with Asake, and acclaimed collaborations with cultural titans like Madonna and Skrillex. Following a string of landmark projects-Apollo (2020), Playboy (2022), and Adedamola (2024)-ZUKO! Reflects an artist operating at the absolute peak of his craft. With hundreds of millions of streams, seven Headies Awards, multiple international certifications, and history-making milestones-including becoming the first Afrobeats artist to perform on the BET Awards main stage-Fireboy DML continues to redefine African music on the world stage. Fresh off a standout performance alongside Erykah Badu at Lauryn Hill's Diaspora Calling! #in the UK, ZUKO! #stands as Fireboy's most ambitious, introspective, and definitive statement to date. Alliance Entertainment Pre-Order: Kava Kon - Tiki For The Atomic Age - Gold Teal [Colored Vinyl] (Gol) (LP) (New (N))
Tiki for the Atomic Age feels like a mid-century transmission intercepted from a parallel timeline-one where hi-fi futurism, Polynesian fantasy, and postwar optimism never lost their sense of wonder. Kava Kon isn't recreating exotica so much as reviving it's original promise: escape, elegance, and possibility, rendered in warm, widescreen stereo.Built on shimmering vibraphones, reverb-drenched guitars, analog organs, and ritual-leaning percussion, these tracks move at an unhurried pace. This is oceanic music-designed for dim lights, glowing glassware, and time stretched just enough to breathe. The lineage is clear: lounge exotica, bachelor-pad modernism, space-age pop. But this isn't pastiche or museum work. It's retro-futurism with intention, imagined from the future looking back. The 'Atomic Age' isn't just aesthetic shorthand. It speaks to contrast-leisure in the shadow of anxiety, beauty alongside uncertainty, fantasy as a necessary technology. Kava Kon understands that tiki was never about geography; it was about psychology. A constructed elsewhere. A permission slip to slow down.Pressed on vinyl, Tiki for the Atomic Age comes fully alive: tactile, immersive, and meant to be lived with. For listeners drawn to mid-century dreamscapes and modern exotica that honors the past without freezing it, this is an invitation-step sideways out of the present and into something more elegant. Alliance Entertainment Pre-Order: Kazdoura - Habibi Funk 037: Markab (LP) (New (N))
Formed in Toronto by Syrian vocalist Leen Hamo and Lebanese multi-instrumentalist John Abou Chacra, Kazdoura bring together two distinct musical backgrounds. Following the success of their debut album, Ghoyoum, they return with Markab, a record that blends Arabic musical traditions with a groove-driven, organic band sound shaped by psychedelic and Anatolian rock, indie, jazz, Afrobeat and Gnawa influences. Arabic maqamat, including Bayat, Rast, Nakriz, Hijaz and Kurd, sit at the heart of the album, carried by Hamo's vocals and Abou Chacra's guitar, saxophone and flute. Prominent basslines, live drums, analogue textures and hypnotic grooves drive the arrangements throughout. Markab, meaning "vehicle," emerges from a very different place than it's predecessor. While Ghoyoum was shaped by upheaval and uncertainty, the new album is firmly rooted in the present, reflecting a period of greater confidence, curiosity and joy. Across ten tracks, Kazdoura explore themes of homeland, love, social expectations, self-image, vulnerability and psychological struggle, alongside everyday pleasures, freedom and the possibility of moving forward.
