Leatherwitch is a new Heavy Metal band formed by vocalist and multi- instrumentalist Marta Gabriel. She disbanded her band CRYSTAL VIPER in the fall of 2025. "Left To Die went from a thought to doing a full US tour in about 3 months! Pretty remarkable if you ask me," says Butler. "We wanted to play the early material for the fans that weren't able to see the first albums in a live setting. There are many young fans at our shows that are hearing the foundation that DEATH stands on to this day live for the first time! With Matt channeling the best Chuck Schuldiner out there and Gus playing the material perfectly and respectfully we hit the road and haven't looked back."

Does the term "concept album" send visions of grand orchestral choruses and strange mythological creatures vaulting through your mind? Well, this album's gonna change your mind. Forever. 1993's River Runs Red is a concept album, all right, but it's themes include alcoholism, physical abuse, and, ultimately, suicide. The record interpolates dramatic, staged skits that tell the story of a troubled teenager edging closer to self-harm between intensely personal songs penned by bassist Alan Robert that range stylistically from New York hardcore to gloom metal to grunge. The intensity just keeps ratcheting up until River Runs Red ends with the sound of blood from a suicide attempt dripping into bathwater. #which would ordinarily require a spoiler alert except for the fact that throughout the album the protagonist's trajectory is clearly headed in only one direction. Cult classic status is almost a given with a plotline like that, but in this case it's well earned; River Runs Red isn't just one of the greatest concept or metal albums ever made. It is, quite simply, one of the most powerful records ever made in any genre. An earlier vinyl reissue sold a bunch, but it's been out of print for over a decade; our remastered-for-vinyl release comes in a clear with red and blue swirl pressing manufactured at Gotta Groove Records and accompanied by an insert. A masterpiece.

Lockhart is a new melodic rock/AOR band from Canada, fusing synthesizer-fueled '80s arena rock with classic hard rock. The trio consists of Devon Kerr (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Jason Junop (bass), and Fabio Alessandrini (drums). Jason is best known for his work with Cauldron and Goat Horn. Devon's main band is Axxion, while Fabio plays-or has played-in Bonfire, Enforcer, Annihilator, Hardline, and many others. Lockhart released their debut EP, No Chance, in 2022, followed by the single "City Pulse" in 2025. The band has since signed with High Roller Records, and their first full-length album, City Pulse, is ready to be unleashed upon the public. It's hard to describe Lockhart's specific sound in detail, but City Pulse clearly showcases influences from Journey, Boston, Toto, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, and perhaps even Starcastle. Tracks such as "The Dose That Made You Poison," "Under Fire," "Before the Fall," and "Together as None" are well constructed and flawlessly performed.
