With "Arcane Past: The Celestial Grimoire", Limbonic Art deliver the ultimate testament of their early years. This massive 8-CD legacy artbook collects all the Norwegian black metal cult band's classic works from demos to first albums as well as the previously unreleased "1994 Demo". Founded in 1993, Limbonic Art released their debut album "Moon in the Scorpio" in 1996 via Nocturnal Art Productions, the label of EMPEROR guitarist Samoth aka Tomas Thormodsæter Haugen, after the band's early tapes had captured his ear. The band's, at the time, quite unique combination of harsh Nordic black metal with cinematic elements inspired by romantic and classic orchestral music proved extremely influential in the following years. Limbonic Art have always been an elusive creation that rarely appeared live, for example with a stunning performance at the Black Whitsun sub-festival of the doomed millennium year edition of the Wave Gotik Treffen (2000) in Leipzig, Germany. In the new century, Daemon also joined ZYKLON for a while, but in February 2003, Limbonic Art officially broke up. However, Daemon reformed the band in 2006. After another extended period of silence, the Norwegian cult act made an acclaimed comeback with their ninth full-length "Opus Daemoniacal" in 2024. "Arcane Past: The Celestial Grimoire" is closing the circle and offers Limbonic Art's complete classics and rarities for the first time collected on CD.

Songwriter and vocalist Peppi Marchello was the founder of the legendary Long Island hard rock/AOR outfit The Good Rats. The band amassed an enormous regional following but never managed to break through on a nationwide scale. By 1984, The Good Rats were history, and Peppi Marchello turned his attention to a solo album. Before long, Marchello teamed up with his son Gene, an up-and-coming guitarist in his own right. The project was initially intended to be called Popzarocca, but CBS Records felt it was wiser for Marchello senior to remain behind the scenes as songwriter and producer, placing the spotlight on Gene as the band's guitarist and vocalist. In March 1989, Marchello's debut album Destiny hit the shelves, combining high-quality AOR and melodic heavy rock with Gene's impressive fretboard skills. The song "First Love" was chosen as the lead single and received heavy rotation on MTV. Today, Destiny is widely regarded as a forgotten gem of the genre. However, this was not the end of Marchello's journey. The band soon began work on a second album, with songs such as "Every Man's Lover," "Wall of Paper," and the epic "All God's Angels" slated for release by CBS in 1991. Ultimately, the album's release was canceled by the label for reasons unknown. Thanks to High Roller Records, listeners can now finally hear Power of Money and discover for themselves that it is as good as Marchello's debut album - if not better.
