Tiga, born in Montreal, is a globally renowned DJ, producer, and the creative force behind Turbo Recordings. His journey began in the vibrant chaos of the 1980s Indian club scene, where he developed a deep appreciation for electronic music's transformative power. Returning to Montreal in the early 1990s, his relentless pursuit of musical excellence saw him co-founding the legendary nightclub Sona, creating a sanctuary for bold, cutting-edge dance music, while his label Turbo Recordings became a launchpad for numerous iconic releases in electronic music from legends such as Chromeo, Azari & III, Gesaffelstein, Duke Dumont, ANNA, and Charlotte de Witte.As a producer, Tiga achieved global recognition with his chart-topping albums Sexor, Ciao!, and No Fantasy Required. His remix credits include high-profile artists such as The xx, LCD Soundsystem, Moby, Depeche Mode, and Justice, solidifying his reputation as a master of reinvention. An American singer who became quite popular during the Disco era, Loleatta Holloway had a string of hits on the R&B charts and amassed 18 charted hits on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart including four #1's. Among Holloway's best known songs are "Hit and Run" and "Love Sensation," both of which have been sampled extensively. In 1991, Loleatta teamed up with studio outfit Triangle and rapper K-Street, releasing the one-off 12" "Set Me Free (Do That To Me)" on Jack Pot Records. After becoming an underground club sensation in the United States, the track came to the attention of The Future Sound Of London (Brain Dougans and Garry Cobain), who promptly remixed it, with their excellent take getting released in the UK on the Debut label. This special release features The Future Sound Of London Mix, a previously unreleased radio edit of that version, and the Power Mix from the original Jack Pot 12".

"Neverland", the fourteenth studio album by ULVER is the sound of an escape. A journey into undiscovered lands. Following three albums - "The Assassination of Julius Caesar" (2017), "Flowers of Evil" (2020), and "Liminal Animals" (2024) - rooted in more traditional song and production structures, "Neverland" marks a new chapter in the revered Oslo band's history. "With 'Neverland' we embraced a more 'punk' spirit - more dreaming, less discipline - freer, quite simply", the band comments on the creative process behind the album. Bursts of daybreak synths and whooshes of sound set the atmosphere, before the wolves start digging into the dynamics of ambient calm and anarchic mysticism. Dreamy and transportive textures develop into trippy percussive energies, and as the album unfolds, a lush and vibrant, and at times exotic space opens. Apart from a few recurring distant voices and vocal chops, "Neverland" is a largely instrumental record, reminiscent of the mood and structure of that place where late '90s IDM sounds met the meandering structures of post-rock. The ghost of premillennial sample culture surely haunts "Neverland", and some might even hear echoes from earlier acclaimed works like "Perdition City" (2000), or the "Silence" EPs (2001), or more recently "ATGCLVLSSCAP" (2016). Still, "Neverland" sounds and feels like something else, something fresh in ULVER's continuous journey of perennial reinvention. Pop music from in-between worlds? A sonic hallucination? Or better: a collage of dreams. It's up to you.

This tenth anniversary edition of Venetian Snares' Traditional Synthesizer Music adds ten bonus tracks and alternative versions originally available only on limited edition compact disc from the artist's Bandcamp. Traditional Synthesizer Music is a collection of songs created and performed live exclusively on the modular synthesizer by Aaron Funk. Each sound contained within was created purely with the modular synthesizer. No overdubbing or editing techniques were utilized in the recordings on Traditional Synthesizer Music. Each song was approached from the ground up and dismantled upon the completion of it's recording. The goal was to develop songs with interchangeable structures and sub structures, yet musically pleasing motifs. Many techniques were incorporated to "humanize" or vary the rhythmic results within these sub structures. An exercise in constructing surprises, patches interrupting each other to create unforeseen progressions. Multiple takes were recorded for each song resulting in vastly different versions of each piece.
