Stella Lefty’s debut album, Long Way Home, captures an artist fully trusting her instincts and returning to the country-rooted songwriting that shaped her from the beginning. Following a breakout run led by “Thinking ’bout You,” “Boston” — which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 — and “Something to Lose” with Vincent Mason, Stella has amassed more than 875 million global streams while establishing herself as one of country-pop’s fastest-rising new voices. Long Way Home debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200, with the 14-track project finding Stella embracing a more personal, instinctive approach to songwriting after a period of feeling disconnected from the music she was making. Produced with Joe Reeves, the album blends acoustic-driven country-pop with candid songs about love, heartbreak, nostalgia, uncertainty, and learning to trust yourself. Much of the record was written alongside her close friend and collaborator Grace Enger, while songs like “Lean In, Kiss Me,” “Summer You Were Mine,” and “Feel Better” showcase different sides of Stella’s storytelling. As she steps into her first sold-out headline tour, Long Way Home represents the clearest expression yet of who Stella is as both a songwriter and artist: emotional, direct, joyful, and completely comfortable making the music she wants to make.

The Oak Ridge Boys are paying tribute to their favorite songs without losing sight of their gospel roots in a stunning and inspiring new album, Buried Treasures.
Produced by Anderson East and executive produced by Dave Cobb, Buried Treasures gathers together classic songs made popular by seminal voices such as Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole, as well as essential songs written by Billy Joe Shaver, Paul Simon, and Bill Withers. The vocal group’s spiritual side shines through on recordings of “Deep River,” “How Great Thou Art,” and “Softly and Tenderly,” yet there’s also a hint of romance in the enduring ballad, “You Are So Beautiful.” The album’s only new song, “Buried Treasure,” was written specifically for the project by Academy Award-winning songwriter Aaron Raitiere.
“Every song on the album is about something that’s dear to us,” Oaks member Duane Allen says.

More than eighty years ago in southwestern Virginia, Carter and Ralph Stanley forged a sound that became a cornerstone of bluegrass and old-time music - yet they remain far less known outside the genre than their influence warrants. Where the Soul Never Dies sets out to change that. Producers Alison Brown and Garry West assembled an eclectic cast spanning bluegrass and Americana, pairing the genre's next generation with roots voices who grew up on these songs. Standout contributors include Billy Strings, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Sierra Ferrell, Jamey Johnson, Steve Martin, and Ralph Stanley II, among others. The album arrives October 16th - two days before The Stanley Brothers' induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Pressed on Bluegrass Blue Swirl Vinyl.

Pullin' Out is the final album from country music's most unapologetic outlaw, Wheeler Walker Jr. Closing the curtain on a decade-long career built on sharp satire, outrageous humor, and authentic honky-tonk roots, the album serves as both a farewell and a return to the sound that made him a cult phenomenon. Produced once again by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, Pullin' Out delivers Walker's signature blend of traditional country musicianship, irreverent storytelling, and razor-sharp commentary. Following his detour into Southern rock on Ram, this final chapter brings him back to his country roots with one last collection of rowdy anthems and heartfelt moments. Released alongside his farewell tour, Pullin' Out is a fitting send-off for one of modern country's most unconventional and controversial voices.

Raised in Northern Michigan on bluegrass and traditional country, Rachel Brooke grew up playing in her family band, learning early that music was a place to be human. Immersed in discipline, humor, and storytelling, she carried those values into a decades-long career spent on the fringe of country music-choosing craft over trends, substance over spectacle, and artistry over automation. After stepping back to focus on her mental health, quietly observing the ever changing, and fleeting expectations of the industry, This One's For You marks a return made with intention and clarity. Grounded in honky-tonk and classic country forms, This One's For You pushes back with Brooke's signature wit and grit. It stands apart through sharp, intelligent writing and unexpected turns of phrase. The title track, "This One's for You,"is a rallying cry for working musicians navigating an increasingly artificial landscape. "The Ballad of Bald Hill"reflects on sacrifice, identity, distance, and the enduring pull of home. "I Chose Poorly"and "The Real Pretender"bring humor and self-awareness, skewering the absurdities of independent artistry, while "When Dube Gets the Crud" goes viral the old-fashioned way, delighting in vivid, character-driven storytelling rooted in family, resilience, and loss.Like a true rattlesnake shedding it's skin, Brooke continues to evolve, sacrificing the self and the meaningless expectations that no longer fit leaving behind illusion in favor of instinct. With a self-awareness that only comes from time spent on the long road, Brooke taps into that existential weight of being a working musician in a culture where art is measured instead of felt. She pokes fun at it, grieves it, forgives it, and keeps going. In doing so, she doubles down on independence, storytelling, and the belief that real songs told well, still matter.

It’s no disrespect to the man to not believe, in part or in whole, every word that Ray Wylie Hubbard writes, sings, or speaks — and frankly, he’d probably respect you a little less if you did. As celebrated songwriters of the outlaw poet/down-home-country-blues persuasion go, Hubbard’s credibility is unimpeachable. And to be fair, even as a somewhat notorious raconteur, his overall truthiness is a lot more bankable than your average politician or fundamentalist grifter. But fold your cards every time he goes all in across a table from you, or swallow as fact every nugget of wisdom he sharpens into verse or stretches into a yarn without catching the gleam in his eye or wry tell between the lines, and odds are you’ve been played.
But honestly, that’s all just part of what makes Hubbard so damn fun.
“You know, a lot of artists when they put out a record, they go, ‘This is the best record I’ve done up to this point,’” the Americana legend considers sagely after a pause when asked how to best sum up Reel 2 Reel 4 Real, his 20th album in a recording career stretching back to the mid-70s. “But I’m not going to say this is the best record I’ve done. I’ll say it’s the best record I’ve ever heard.”
No matter how many awards and Hall of Fame inductions others might honor him with (he’s a member of both the Austin Music HOF and the Texas Heritage Songwriters HOF), Hubbard never swaggers or sings his own praises without keeping his tongue planted firmly in cheek. But after brushing aside his bluff with a chuckle, Hubbard gets real. “I am very proud of it,” he answers sincerely. “Everybody that played on it put a lot of work into it, and it just felt right doing it. I’m very grateful.”

I guess you could call it a lost album," says Rodney Crowell. "I stumbled upon it in my vault at home. I'd forgotten about it completely." He's referring to Then Again, which he recorded and shelved two decades ago before moving off into new directions. Since then, the album has been biding it's time, waiting for the moment when it's songs would hit hardest. And they hit incredibly hard now, largely because age and experience have granted Crowell a richer perspective. "I'm glad I put it on the shelf, because now is the time for it. It may not be the time for it for the rest of the world, but it's time for it for me. That's why I wanted to call it Then Again. I thought that was a clever way of saying that what was happening then is happening now. Once lost and now found, Then Again is something the Rodney Crowell of the 2000s could never have predicted but something the Rodney Crowell of the 2020s recognizes instinctively: a work of nuance, insight, and sensitivity that considers death but celebrates life. "I'm trying to understand that this spirit of mine is going to leave this body and go off somewhere else. I've got a pretty good idea that it's going to be someplace good, but I still need to perfect some part of my spiritual journey here before I check out. I can see that in these songs now.

They Call Us The Lucky Ones is a road-worn portrait of modern Americana — songs about movement, memory, love, and survival, exploring the space between freedom and consequence where highways replace homes and connection becomes the true measure of success. The album tells stories of outsiders and drifters, chosen family and lost friends, broken systems and restless ambition — and the ghosts we carry no matter how far we run.Yet for all its hard-earned perspective, the record carries an undeniable sense of hope: a clarity that comes from a life lived in motion, the humor found along the way, and the simple joy of playing music with people you trust. It’s a record that knows how to have a good time without losing its soul. This collection of ten songs finds Ryan Bingham at his best — where life isn’t always about perfection or redemption, but about connection. Because no matter how far you go, how fast you run, or how loud the music gets, all that matters is the people and stories you carry with you along the way.

Sam Salmon & the Grand Manan Bandits is a bare-bones country band made up of beloved Canadian alt-rock band Motherhood and "delta doom" guitarist Keith Hallett (Echodelick Records)DOWN FOR LIFE features foot-stompin' tracks like "No One Likes Losing," a self-deprecating look at being competitive yet never managing to get ahead, "Waste Your Time," about the confusion of suddenly losing someone you love, as well as a reflection on familial personality traits, and "If I Needed You Now," showcasing country music at it's finest - three chords and the truth. Or, in this case, two chords. Sam Salmon & the Grand Manan Bandits features Penelope Stevens (bass/vocals), Brydon Crain (vocals/guitar), Keith Hallet (lead guitar, console steel), and Adam Sipkema (drums). DOWN FOR LIFE also marks a trifecta of releases this year from Motherhood Music Inc., following the band's "wildly entertaining!" (Bandcamp) fifth album Thunder Perfect Mind and side-project Penny & the Pits' "delicate and demanding" (LOUD Women) debut Liquid Compactor.A1. If I Needed You NowA2. No One Likes LosingA3.
