Pain threaded with joy is the sound of survival. On The Hard Truth, Wynonna isn’t letting go of either one, carrying everything she’s endured and reinventing herself as an artist.
This eleven-track tribute to deep sorrow and dogged persistence strips away layer after layer of the lush production that defined Wynonna’s previous recordings, delivering in its place her most personal and powerful work yet. ANTI- is proud to continue its tradition of embracing American legends and giving them a platform to reach new heights.
The Hard Truth has a major contributor in the form of producer Cactus Moser, Wynonna’s partner in music and life. Wynonna and Moser shared songwriting duties on The Hard Truth, and the resulting tracks were recorded to capture and compliment the raw powerhe’d witnessed decades ago. What they’ve created together is an unvarnished elegy to the dead and the missing, an album that pays tribute to choosing love in the face of suffering. Through instrumentation and arrangements unlike any record in Wynonna’s four-decade career, The Hard Truth rolls in like a night train hitting listeners on the blind side

Raised in Northern Michigan on bluegrass and traditional country, Rachel Brooke grew up playing in her family band, learning early that music was a place to be human. Immersed in discipline, humor, and storytelling, she carried those values into a decades-long career spent on the fringe of country music-choosing craft over trends, substance over spectacle, and artistry over automation. After stepping back to focus on her mental health, quietly observing the ever changing, and fleeting expectations of the industry, This One's For You marks a return made with intention and clarity. Grounded in honky-tonk and classic country forms, This One's For You pushes back with Brooke's signature wit and grit. It stands apart through sharp, intelligent writing and unexpected turns of phrase. The title track, "This One's for You,"is a rallying cry for working musicians navigating an increasingly artificial landscape. "The Ballad of Bald Hill"reflects on sacrifice, identity, distance, and the enduring pull of home. "I Chose Poorly"and "The Real Pretender"bring humor and self-awareness, skewering the absurdities of independent artistry, while "When Dube Gets the Crud" goes viral the old-fashioned way, delighting in vivid, character-driven storytelling rooted in family, resilience, and loss.Like a true rattlesnake shedding it's skin, Brooke continues to evolve, sacrificing the self and the meaningless expectations that no longer fit leaving behind illusion in favor of instinct. With a self-awareness that only comes from time spent on the long road, Brooke taps into that existential weight of being a working musician in a culture where art is measured instead of felt. She pokes fun at it, grieves it, forgives it, and keeps going. In doing so, she doubles down on independence, storytelling, and the belief that real songs told well, still matter.

They Call Us The Lucky Ones is a road-worn portrait of modern Americana — songs about movement, memory, love, and survival, exploring the space between freedom and consequence where highways replace homes and connection becomes the true measure of success. The album tells stories of outsiders and drifters, chosen family and lost friends, broken systems and restless ambition — and the ghosts we carry no matter how far we run.Yet for all its hard-earned perspective, the record carries an undeniable sense of hope: a clarity that comes from a life lived in motion, the humor found along the way, and the simple joy of playing music with people you trust. It’s a record that knows how to have a good time without losing its soul. This collection of ten songs finds Ryan Bingham at his best — where life isn’t always about perfection or redemption, but about connection. Because no matter how far you go, how fast you run, or how loud the music gets, all that matters is the people and stories you carry with you along the way.

Or, in this case, two chords. With their upcoming sixth studio album, “What A Time To Be Alive”, The Lone Bellow embarks on a bold new chapter while honoring the deep bonds that have defined their journey. Written collaboratively for the first time with their full touring band—founding members Zach Williams, Brian Elmquist, and Kanene Pipkin joined by drummer Julian Dorio and multi-instrumentalist Tyler Geertsma—the album channels the raw, ecstatic energy of the band’s live show into a dynamic collection of songs that pulse with warmth, honesty, and human connection.Recorded live in Muscle Shoals, AL, after a writing retreat in a converted Kentucky firehouse, the album is both a celebration and a reckoning: of friendship, loss, love, and resilience. From the gritty, Stones-tinged opener “After The Rain” to the soul-stirring closer “What A Time To Be Alive,” the record captures the joy and vulnerability that have long defined The Lone Bellow’s sound—lush harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and genre-blurring arrangements steeped in folk, rock, and gospel. The album’s creation was marked by setbacks, including the theft of early recordings, but the outpouring of support from their fanbase reaffirmed what the band has always known: their music is a shared experience. That spirit echoes throughout the album, whether in anthems like “Common Folk” and “I’m Here For You,” or in intimate reflections like “You Were Leaving” and “Night Goes Black.”Since their acclaimed 2013 debut, The Lone Bellow has appeared on The Tonight Show, Austin City Limits, and The Late Show, topped Americana charts, and headlined storied venues from Carnegie Hall to the Ryman Auditorium. But with their next album, they reaffirm their commitment not just to making music, but to building community—on stage, in song, and around the table.

Vinyl LP pressing. The influence of Merle Travis may not be widely known, but it is certainly widely felt across the whole of popular music. A pioneer of what came to be known as "Travis picking", the technique can be heard in songs by a diverse range of artists, including Fleetwood Mac, John Denver, Simon and Garfunkel, even Taylor Swift. He also invented his own guitar, influencing the subsequent design of Les Fender's iconic Fender Telecaster electric guitar. He was a highly successful singer-songwriter from the mid 1940s onwards, gaining more fans after Tennessee Ernie Ford covered the Travis-penned "Sixteen Tons" in 1955. He would go on to become an elder statesman figure at the peak of the folk revival in the mid 1960s, largely due to his influential concept album, "Folk Songs Of The Hills", released in 1947. This collection shines a spotlight on his early career, the most successful and productive period for this pioneer of picking. It includes 16 of his finest singles, self-penned and arranged from traditional tunes including "No Vacancy", "Cininatti Lou", "Divorce Me C.O.D.", "Nine Pound Hammer", "Steel Guitar Rag", "Merle's Boogie Woogie" and "What A Shame"

With his new album "Here I Am", Ward Davis delivers his most personal and soul baring work to date, a collection that dives deep into redemption, regret, and resilience. The Arkansas-born singer-songwriter has built his reputation on truth telling songs that cut to the bone, earning respect across the country landscape. He's shared stages with legends, written for Willie Nelson and Trace Adkins, and carved his own lane in the modern outlaw revival. With a voice that feels lived-in and lyrics that linger long after the song ends, Davis stands at the crossroads of country tradition and personal revelation. His music-featured in Yellowstone and the first season of Landman-embodies the grit, honesty, and heart of real American storytelling. "Here I Am" is both a statement and a confession, proof that Ward Davis isn't chasing country music's future; he's defining it on his own terms. Unlike most post-millennium country "outlaws," Hank Williams III has actually been fighting against something concrete instead of just nursing a bad attitude. Hank III likes his music as strong as his drink, and includes both his hard-edged trad-styled country and his "hellbilly" thrash metal project Assjack. There's an undercurrent of metal/punk creeping through a few tracks on Rebel Within (the bursts of Cookie Monster vocals on the title cut and the breakneck finale of "Drinkin' Over Momma"), but for the most part, this is the most straight forward country music Hank III has released since 2002's Lovesick, Broke and Drifitin'; Billly Contreras fiddle, Andy Gibson's steel guitar, and Johnny Hiland's guitar give these songs a classic acoustic honky tonk feel while adding just enough electric elements to keep this from sounding like an exercise in retro-nostalgia. More than one writer has noted that Hank III sounds a lot more like his grandfather Hank Williams than his dad Hank Willimas Jr. Ever did, and he writes the kind of melodies that suit his weathered, soulful twang just right. Rebel Within captures a tone of bad luck and trouble with a grace and gravity that's manna from heaven for fans of 100-proof roadhouse music. Rebel Within is strong, heartfelt work that proves Hank III hasn't turned his back on pure country music.

Luke Winslow-King's Coast of Light blends blues, jazz, folk, and Spanish influences into a vivid, atmospheric journey shaped by his years in New Orleans and his new life in Spain. Known for his soulful guitar work and gruff-warm vocals, Winslow-King pushes into more psychedelic, adventurous territory on his ninth album, co-produced with longtime collaborator Roberto Luti. Inspired by Andalusian coastlines, flamenco passion, and subconscious explorations, Coast of Light captures his evolution as a songwriter unafraid to take risks. The result is a richly textured album that illuminates the landscapes -musical and emotional - that have shaped him.

Good As True (2026), the 12th studio album from Yonder Mountain String Band, leans into a warm, expressive sound — bluegrass shaped with an indie edge, rock undertones, and a hint of country. Recorded live in the studio, its eight original tracks trace romantic, personal, and societal relationships and the work it takes to stay connected. The lead single “Brand New Heartache” pairs rock-driven verses with a bluegrass-lifted chorus as it follows the fallout of a breakup and the uneasy hope of starting again, while “Blind” opens with a striking instrumental riff that lingers long after the song ends, while its lyrics confront regret, mental health struggles, and the pull to become something better. “Long Ride” delivers a sharp, sarcastic look at life in a touring band; “Nothing New” and “The Lie” confront political rigidity and division; “One to One Another” and “Always Almost” pull toward quieter emotional corners; and “Barroom Feather” drifts into indie-folk terrain with one of the album’s most atmospheric jams.Across Good As True, Yonder moves between high-tempo runs, layered harmonies, and moments that breathe — a reminder that nearly three decades in, they’re still charting new ground.
