It all began with Asleep at the Wheel. Willie Nelson may have done the original Austin City Limits pilot, but the Wheel was the first act to perform on the first episode of the very first season in 1976. Nearly two decades later, they returned to that same stage for a performance that would become one of the most celebrated in the series' storied history.Recorded on October 14, 1992, Live From Austin, TX captures Ray Benson and his band at the peak of their powers - a swinging, rollicking 14-song set that moves from Western Swing barnburners to jazz-inflected shuffles with the confidence of a band that has spent decades making this music it's own. Highlights include "Miles and Miles of Texas, " "Hot Rod Lincoln, " "Boot Scoot Boogie, " and a scorching run through "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66."But the performance reaches another level entirely in it's second half. Several original members of Bob Wills' Texas Playboys - pioneering electric guitarist Eldon Shamblin, singer Leon Rausch, pedal steel player Herb Remington, and virtuoso fiddler Johnny Gimble - join the Wheel onstage for a series of Wills classics that serve as both a living tribute and a direct passing of the torch. "Corine, Corina, " "Roly Poly, " "Blues for Dixie, " and "Sugar Moon" have rarely sounded more alive.AllMusic called the performance "special, " noting that the band is "so relaxed, open, and in the groove" that it stands out even among their finest live recordings. Now on vinyl for the first time, this is Western Swing history you can hold in your hands.

RITA is the latest from Parisian rockers PÆRISH, produced by recent Grammy-winner Will Yip (Turnstile, Title Fight). Through the songs on the record, the album explores the constant tension between nostalgia and the urgency to move forward. It evokes memories of summers spent on the French Riviera, the first desire to write music, and the need to keep creating honestly, while also confronting the frustrations of working life, toxic relationships, jealousy, and the fear of losing the creative spark that once felt so natural in youth. It is Paerish's most vibrant and powerful record to date. Fueled by a mix of anger and adolescent frustration, the album channels something raw and instinctive, shaped by years spent touring relentlessly across Europe and North America, alongside the likes of Movements, Tigers Jaw, Sum 41, Alkaline Trio, The Silversun Pickups, Superheaven, Teenage Wrist, and more.""RITA is an album deeply shaped by childhood memories, the passing of time, and the need to preserve a sense of creative sincerity through the years. It's title refers to a bell tower I could see from the window of my family's apartment in the South of France when I was a child. Saint Rita, patron saint of lost causes, embodied something both protective and luminous to me, but also the sacrifices and uncertainty that come with having a band and trying to make a living from it.""- Mathias (vocals)

Les Itinerantes, the acclaimed female vocal trio, make their PENTATONE debut with HYSTERÆ, an imaginative and deeply personal exploration of the many faces of the Feminine. Mothers, queens, witches, workers, saints, fairies and enchantresses come together in a rich tapestry of stories, archetypes and emotions that have shaped cultures across the world and throughout history. Through melodies from diverse musical traditions, original compositions and rarely heard works by women composers and writers, the album gives voice to figures who have been revered, feared, idealised, silenced and misunderstood.Renowned for their captivating a cappella performances and their unique repertoire spanning fifty languages, Manon Cousin Cipriani, Pauline Langlois de Swarte and elodie Pont create a sound world where borders, eras and genres dissolve. HYSTERÆ is both an intimate journey and a universal celebration, embracing the contradictions that define the human experience: tenderness and rage, fragility and strength, creation and destruction. Blending influences from early music, world traditions, sacred song and contemporary composition, Les Itinerantes invite listeners on a powerful voyage of self-discovery, liberation and imagination. Tristan Keuris was one of the Netherlands' most distinctive twentieth-century composers, creating music that bridges contemporary expression with lyrical warmth and remarkable accessibility. This recording brings together three of his finest chamber works - the String Quartet No. 1,  Clarinet Quintet and Canzone for solo clarinet - revealing a composer whose music is at once virtuosic, emotionally compelling, and deeply communicative. Rich in colour, dramatic contrasts, and expressive melodies, these works highlight Keuris' unique ability to combine modern musical language with unmistakable humanity. Performed by the acclaimed Animato Quartet with clarinetist Jelmer de Moed, this album is both a tribute to one of the great voices of Dutch music and a passionate plea for his chamber music to reach a wider audience. From moments of quiet introspection to exhilarating rhythmic energy, these performances capture the emotional depth, brilliance, and timeless appeal of Keuris' musical imagination, inviting listeners to discover a remarkable yet still underappreciated composer. Tension, contradiction, curiosity, animosity and affection - these are all essential to the collaboration between The Body and Cel Genesis. Also essential are the sounds of trance music, the weight of distortion and the grinding of experimental electronica - all counterpointed against the viscerality of two live drummers. The idea to collaborate and make Whole Wide World was hatched on tour, with few parameters other than to use friendship, humility and each artist's distinct processes to create music. Cel Genesis' creative practice tends towards maximalist writing - coupled with aggressive editing. The Body's process as exploratory shape shifters is foundationally improvisational, and inclined to push ideas to their outermost limits as they have with distortion, vocal techniques and in other collaborations' samples and beats.Recorded at Machines with Magnets by Seth Manchester with additional recording in California by Andrew Oswald, Whole Wide World evolved over a period of two years, several recording sessions and meticulous editing. Some songs were built from beds of electronics generated by Cel Genesis, served to the group to be edited and arranged; others grew from beds of live drumming by Lee Buford (The Body) and Nick Cowman (Cel Genesis), that were similarly worked and re-imagined.Whole Wide World is a dense and heavy album, but one that nevertheless feels joyful and fresh - an uncategorisable ode to egoless invention. It's a work born of artists with disparate approaches, who feel compelled and comfortable to surrender them, in service of the birth of new art. Whilst the album was made with joy, the themes of the album confront today's harsher realities; we see this play out as through the eyes of an unrelenting optimist processing the death of possibility itself.

Few tracks carry the weight of techno history quite like Dave Clarke's 'Wisdom To The Wise'. Created in a damp basement flat in Brighton in the early '90s, the track was produced on an Atari 1040 and micro-sampler, drenched in dubbed-out reverb, and shaped by a young Clarke still honing the sound that would soon make his name.'Wisdom To The Wise' became the centerpiece of Red 2, the second installment of Clarke's seminal three-release series. With Red 1 already making serious waves, it was Red 2 that sent interest in Clarke into overdrive. Within a year, the series had helped propel him from underground producer to global techno force, culminating in a major-label album deal and international recognition. The track's influence has endured ever since, earning celebrated reinterpretations from techno heavyweights including Robert Hood, Marcel Dettmann, Boys Noize, and Steve Rachmad. Now, Spectrum adds another chapter to that lineage with a very special remix from label boss Joris Voorn.Staying faithful to the spirit and unmistakable character of the original, Voorn brings his own weight to the classic, reinforcing it's impact with a heavier kick and the subtle production touches that have become his signature. Originally created as a weapon for his own sets, the remix has been road-tested on dancefloors and is now ready to be unleashed beyond the booth.
