Blackmore's Night were founded in 1997 by legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and award-winning lyricist and vocalist Candice Night, to stage their mutual love for traditional medieval and folk-rock music. The band's debut album 'Shadow of the Moon' (1997) features mainly acoustic instrumental music, influenced by the songs of the middle ages and the renaissance, but in it's timelessness fits perfectly into the modern times. The 25th anniversary edition of 'Shadow of the Moon' features a fully remixed version of the original album with a completely refreshed artwork. Also included are two previously unreleased acoustic songs: 'Spirit of the Sea' and 'Shadow of the Moon', both recorded in an intimate home session by Candice and Ritchie.

Over the 20 year history of Land of Talk, Lizzie Powell has drifted to and from music, always interrogating their role as an artist. Yet the music didn't stop: they heard songs in traffic and in birds chirping, in their downstairs neighbor's daily prayers and in the babble of children on the street, until reemerging with LASTS, an album that picks up where Land of Talk left off, wielding honesty, empathy, and righteous anger alike.LASTS is full of double meanings - both resilience and finality, acting as a noun and a verb. The overwhelming magnitude of global turmoil led Powell towards smaller, humane depictions of suffering and grief. As their parents became ill, they reflected on the last time a person might walk, might talk to a loved one. Yet watching their parents near the other side of life's arc also made them consider all they had survived across their own decades on this earth, their new songs channeling both gratitude and rage. "I think of this record as a love letter to life," they say.LASTS songs travel through everything that has been on Powell's mind in these years: the sharp polarity of the beauty they see in their artist peers and the toxicity they see in the industry, the mortality of their parents ("Funeral clothes have been packed a few times," they say of various close calls), the process of understanding their identity as a non-binary person. They forged ahead in hopes of communing with others who have experienced the same: "Music is medicine for me, and I know that if this song helps me feel better, maybe someone else will feel heard and understood." Drawing upon all Land of Talk have been in two decades, LASTS documents the simple yet implausible act of survival.

1957 was a pivotal year for Louis Armstrong. As "Ambassador Satch," he traveled the world for the U.S. State Department, even as he publicly challenged the government over the Little Rock desegregation crisis. That March, Armstrong and his All Stars played a fundraiser at Highland Park High School in Illinois. Student stage manager Joel Goldstein recorded the concert, preserving what biographer Ricky Riccardi calls "sensational, one of his best."

On Answered Prayers, The Mosaic Window pulls back from the more polished, prog-tinged death/black hybrid of 2024's Hemasanctum and returns to the project's original core: first and second wave black metal, filtered through atmospheric shrieks of despair and phantasmal, buried death growls. The album's nihilistic concept — humanity erased retroactively, centuries before the Industrial Revolution, as the only "cure" for a poisoned world — plays out across ten tracks of cold, apocalyptic fury.
Highlights include the blistering, melodic "Serpentine" and "Devotion to My Burning Desire," the more dynamic, mid-tempo "Lightning Be Thy Guide," and "What Sage Could Not Cleanse" — an older composition that anchors the album's back-to-roots direction. Mixed and mastered by Alex Sedin (Ghostalgy Productions), with Dmitry Kim (Jinjer) on session drums.

Oruã was born at night attending parties til dawn in downtown Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A poor man's jazz. Working-class' krautrock. Oruã are art! The Oruã, Maldição (2016-2026) [KLP324] album celebrates their ten years of hyper-creativity, a double LP drawing from their many periods and various releases since 2016. The songs were recorded in different places and countries, expanding on a sound that originally stemmed from old cassette tapes and 4-track port-a-studio recordings. The album contains twenty songs in all, ranging from thoughtful psychedelia to fuzzy, experimental rock'n'roll.Oruã is lead by critically-acclaimed guitarist and producer Lê Almeida, who is joined by long-time collaborators João Casaes (synths), Bigu Medine (bass) and Ana Zumpano (drums), along with many other friends and accomplices over the decade. Together they blend lo-fi indie rock, psychedelia, noise, afrobeat, and Brazilian references. In 2019 their sound was discovered by indie rock legend Doug Martsch of Built to Spill, which led to him inviting Lê and João to become temporary members of the 90's indie rock band. Later they recorded, co-produced, and co-mixed Built to Spill's most recent album, When the Wind Forgets Your Name, released in 2022 on Sub Pop Records. After touring extensively with Built to Spill and showcasing their high-energy shows in the US and Europe, Oruã returned to Seattle and recorded their album Slacker [KLP307] with Jim Roth, who also plays guitar, synth and percussion on the recordings. Their sound continues to mix the electric pulses of deconstructed guitars over a mesmerizing groove, taking both audience and band into a collective trance. Slacker was released by K in October, 2025.

Sub Pop and The Album Leaf celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2006 album Into the Blue Again. This new, limited vinyl pressing is on orange vinyl. In the wake of a solid 18 months spent touring in support of 2004's In a Safe Place, The Album Leaf's Jimmy LaValle sequestered himself for six months in his San Diego house solely to write for his next record. For LaValle-whose wildly varied experience includes stints with instrumental artisans Tristeza, post-hardcore spastics the Locust, contorted punk-funk ritualists GoGoGo Airheart, shadowy conjurers The Black Heart Procession and Iceland's celestial menagerie Sigur Ros-such a surfeit of time was an unprecedented luxury. The upshot of this well-earned downtime is his fourth full-length, Into the Blue Again. Recorded in December 2005 at Bear Creek Studio, a converted turn-of-the-century barn outside of Seattle, Into the Blue Again sees a return to The Album Leaf's conception with LaValle handling the bulk of the vocal and instrumental duties. After tracking at Bear Creek, LaValle then took the concentric billows of feathered keyboards, filmy strings and chiseled drums to Iceland for three weeks of mixing to tape to maintain Brian Eno-informed translucence. Having shared so much time and space with others on the road, LaValle proves with the personally charged Into the Blue Again that The Album Leaf resonates most profoundly when he goes it alone.

New York City-based JUNO-award winning jazz singer Laura Anglade was born in the south of France and raised in Connecticut. She spent several years living in Canada, where she pursued her studies in translation, before relocating to New York City to pursue a full-time career in music. Her style recalls contemporary vocal jazz stars like Samara Joy, Diana Krall, and Stella Cole, and legends like Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughan and Anita O'Day. 'Something's Coming' arrives after a milestone year for Anglade, whose 2025 album 'Get Out of Town' won Vocal Jazz Album of the Year at the 2026 JUNO Awards. She also reached broader audiences with performances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's #LateShowMeMusic and The Kelly Clarkson Show. Rather than treating that momentum as a finish line, this release opens the door to a broader, more theatrical chapter of her work. Anglade has long been rooted in the Great American Songbook, but her new single; "Something's Coming" from West Side Story expands that language into something more theatrical, textured, and emotionally open. Anglade is entering what she describes as "a new era of my artistry," one shaped by the feeling of being "on the brink of something I can't quite name yet." Anglade is pushing further into her range as a performer. "I find myself taking more risks," she says. "I am more experimental and can stretch more, testing the limits." That shift is palpable in the latest singles. Musical theater sits at the heart of the project. "I grew up with it," Anglade says. "I was a theater kid. I never got the lead role. This feels like getting to step into those roles now." Rather than approaching these songs as fixed standards, she inhabits them as characters, scenes, and emotional landscapes.

Best known as one half of the innovative German electronic duo Mouse on Mars, Jan St. Werner also pursued a solo career as Lithops and under his own name. He began releasing solo music in the mid-'90s (around the time of his collaboration with Markus Popp as Microstoria), and through a series of 7 records he has innovated and explored the boundaries of electronic music. Werner's latest album, Squares Will Fall, began in 2012 as an electronic composition lasting exactly thirty minutes, created to mark the thirtieth birthday of a friend. Over time, the piece continued to evolve, eventually forming the foundation for an improvisation by Justin Vernon and Jan St. Werner during Mouse on Mars's Dimensional People sessions at Vernon's studio in Wisconsin. In 2021, "Squares Will Fall" assumed a new form as a multidirectional loudspeaker choreography created for the Ural Industrial Biennial. Three independent layers of the composition were transmitted through loudspeakers suspended via long ropes from the circus ceiling and were continuously repositioned by the performers. In 2026, Werner completed "Squares Will Fall" and created the first stereo mix at Mouse on Mars's Paraverse Studios. Andi Toma (Mouse on Mars) joined the final mixing sessions, contributing bass elements that subtly expanded the work's sonic depth. The resulting stereo version brings together more than a decade of transformations, preserving the piece's open, cut up character while translating it's spatial and performative origins into a form suitable for focused listening.Taken together as an album, the songs are a joyous musical adventure. Understanding the complexity of the songs origins is not required; as with all that he does, Werner's love of music and collaboration shines through in this inventive boundless listen.

Between the Sword and the Neck is the towering new LP from Washington, D.C. quartet NØ MAN and their second album with Iodine Records. Across a blistering 26-minute runtime, the band merges the devastating heaviness of Erase with the sharpened urgency of Glitter and Spit, pushing their sound into its most intense, intimate, and politically charged territory yet.
The album is rooted in the Arabic word “sumud,” meaning steadfastness or perseverance, and channels vocalist Maha Shami’s lived experience as a daughter of Palestinian refugees. The title Between the Sword and the Neck is taken from Palestinian writer Ghassan Kanafani, referencing the impossibility of genuine negotiation between an oppressor and the oppressed. Throughout the record, Shami’s lyricism draws from Palestinian history, poetry, family, grief, rage, survival, and refusal of erasure.
The album features guest vocals from Kat Hidalgo and Jenna Pup on “In Spite,” quotations from Ghassan Kanafani, Fadwa Tuqan, and Mahmoud Darwish on focus track “In Tongues,” poetry by Kamelah Shami on "Blood and Paper,” and names of lives lost to the occupation read by friends and family on “They Have Names.” “In Tongues” also features Kamelah, the daughter of Maha Shami and Matthew Michel, making the song one of the album’s clearest expressions of family, memory, language, and intergenerational Palestinian identity. Self-produced and recorded by the band, mixed by Matthew Michel, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, the album stands as NØ MAN’s most vulnerable and unrelenting work to date.

The China-born and Vancouver-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer is heavily influenced by the timeless songwriting and sweeping piano pop forged by artists such as Adele, Coldplay, and Sarah McLachlan. Produced alongside Winston Hauschild, 'Love Letter' balances smoky, soulful, and intimately tender vocals with cinematic arrangements, underpinned by elegant piano melodies, swooning strings, and emotionally charged crescendos that conjure a singular vision equally steeped in raw vulnerability and therapeutic hope. Thunder - A staple of the British rock scene since the late '80s, and renowned for their soulful riffs, commanding vocals, and dynamic stage presence. With frontman Danny Bowes and guitarist Luke Morley at the helm, the band built their legacy on the back of passionate songwriting and explosive live shows. Live (1998) captures Thunder in a pivotal moment-gritty, urgent, and completely unfiltered. Recorded during a period of renewal following the arrival of new bassist Chris Childs, this live album showcases the band's raw determination and musical firepower. It's not a polished, pristine live record-and that's exactly why it endures. There's an edge to every note, a hunger in every chorus. Fans are right there in the thick of it, singing along, cheering through extended solos and spontaneous stage banter that add an electric sense of immediacy. This release draws heavily from the band's first four studio albums and includes timeless fan favourites like "Love Walked In," "Backstreet Symphony," and "Dirty Love." What sets Live (1998) apart is it's ability to capture Thunder's essence as a live act: passionate, loud and unapologetically rock and roll.

Huford Brown, better known by his performing name U Brown, was part of a new generation of reggae MCs who emerged in the late 1970s, building on the success of the genre's pioneers, most notably Daddy U-Roy. A prominent figure on the Jamaican music scene, Brown was signed early in his career to Richard Branson's Virgin Front Line label, recording at both Channel One and King Tubby's studios with many of the island's top musicians. At the same time, he established his own Hit Sound label, releasing soulful roots recordings that reflected his deep love of reggae's still-young history while also embracing the emerging sounds of dancehall. David Hill from Soul Revivers has put together this fantastic compilation, showcasing the very best of U Brown's production output, which appeared on a number of labels, including Hit Sound and Tanker. This is the first compilation of Browns work to appear on vinyl and includes previously-unknown dubplate mixes of cuts by Al Campbell, including his classic "Give The People." The album also features under-recorded vocalist Vincent Taylor, legendary vocalist Delroy Wilson, the lilting instrumental sound of Bobby Ellis & Deadly Headly, and a dancehall classic by Carlton Livingstone. This is the sound of a young producer hustling to get heard in the over-crowded Jamaican record scene, and it stands up with the very best of today.

Alabama-based singer-songwriter Grayson Capps has followed his instincts for over two decades. A singular voice in American roots music, Capps emerged from the New Orleans music scene in the late 90s with his bands The House Levelers and Stavin’ Chain. He later stepped out as a solo artist with his 2005 debut album, If You Knew My Mind. Through an amalgamation of Gulf Coast folk, stinging slide guitar blues, and barefoot country charm imparted with a lyrical nuance steeped in the Southern Gothic lineage, Capps built a devoted cult audience entirely on his own terms. His latest studio album, The Weight of the World, is his first collection of original material in seven years and his eighth overall. Co-produced by Ryan Avinger and his longtime guitarist Corky Hughes at Dauphin Street Sound in Mobile, Alabama, its nine tracks encompass a raw and ragged magic, ranging from campfire balladry to voodoo choogle to classic country. Angelic harmonies are woven throughout by Mobile-based soul/gospel singer Symone French. Highlights include the windswept acoustic road song “Far Away” that romanticizes the trials and tribulations of the troubadour lifestyle; “My Body”; a driving rock n’ roll anthem for women’s rights that doubles as a battle cry for an impending revolution; “News,” a five-minute blast of psychedelic swamp rock calling out the fear-centric motives of modern media; and the title track, “The Weight of the World,” a languid meditation on stillness. “As within, so without. That’s how I address the world through my songs,” says Capps. “‘If you speak your truth people may not get it exactly, but they will get their own truth. But if you don’t speak your truth, they get nothing. So I speak my truth.”
