Fiercely sinister and heavy as ever, Danish death doom band KONVENT returns with their third album, Firesky, on November 6, 2026 via Napalm Records. Their bravest album yet embellishes their compositions, so five songs is all it takes the four-piece this time around to prove how incomparably weighty their sonic soundscapes can be. Firesky’s tracks are significantly longer than what KONVENT have offered before, but the dynamics within the dark arrangements prove the extraordinary commitment to their craft. Constructed carefully, the doom-laden record serves as both the atmospheric journey into the darkest depths of the soul and the guide out of the abyss. They say the third album makes it or breaks it – KONVENT, however, manage to fully reconstruct the principle itself.

A thin line separates our most extreme feelings. Across this line, we express grief and joy, confusion and confidence, and hate and love with the same amount of passion and vigor. Initiate sonically channel opposite ends of a vast emotional continuum. Anger and wrath overflow from serrated riffs, pit-splitting breakdowns, and cathartic screams, whereas affirmations of comfort, assurances of friendship, and promises of forever are beamed through otherworldly chord progressions, swaths of keys, and ethereal vocal transmissions. Elements of hardcore, alternative, metal, and indie coalesce like colors in a kaleidoscope, fissuring, fragmenting, and fusing back into focus. Following widespread acclaim, packed shows, and millions of streams, the quartet—Crystal Pak [vocals], Michael Morales [bass], Draven Carter [guitar], Manning Gray [guitar] and John Hodge [drums]—strike an uncanny balance between sounds and emotions on their 2026 With Love // With Rage EP [Blue Grape Music].

In their nearly four decades of domination, New York alternative metal legends PRONG, have remained a respected force in the scene, gigging doggedly around the world—becoming mainstays at seminal festivals like Wacken and Brutal Assault—and unleashing a steady stream of classic albums dominating TV, radio, and streaming throughout their tenure. Today, they announce their incendiary Napalm Records debut and mission statement, Prong, which will be unleashed unto the public on November 6, 2026. Honoring the band’s legacy, this new album packs 11 galvanizing haymakers, encompassing elements of industrial, thrash, alternative rock, and, of course, New York Hardcore.
About the album, frontman Tommy Victor said:
“This could be the best PRONG album to date. It’s definitely the best sounding PRONG album ever, with the incredible Andy Sneap mixing and mastering it! This record represents a new lease on life for PRONG with a new label, a fresh attitude with faster and heavier songs, bigger hooks and top-notch sound quality. That’s why it’s self-titled; it’s a redefining episode for PRONG!”
Of the plethora of legends born from the primordial ooze bubbling at New York’s most iconic punk club, CBGBs, there is only one PRONG. Forming during the venue’s late 80s renaissance period alongside hardcore legends like Gorilla Biscuits, Madball, Sick Of It All, and Biohazard, PRONG set themselves apart with melodic sensibility on formative records like Beg To Differ (1990) and Cleansing (1994), becoming mainstays on the iconic MTV’s “Headbangers Ball”. With their boundary pushing fusion of classic New York Hardcore, infectious grooves, and industrial textures PRONG laid the foundation for numerous styles of post-hardcore like groove metal, industrial metal, and crossover thrash.
As the band’s mission statement, Prong incorporates the well of styles their legacy is built on. Blistering thrash sections, open into lush choruses on opening anthem “The Banner”, before somehow pushing the intensity even further on “New Commission”. “The Uprising” reintroduces the band’s industrial edge, weaponizing textured synths over a pulsating two-step, before “Uncertain Truth” flexes its melodic chops, offering a transcendently sweet hook. Immediately the band dropkicks listeners in the chest with the pummeling “Fear The Sun” inciting classic New York Hardcore pit violence. Iconic vocalist and guitarist Tommy Victor’s chops come out in full swing on “Proportionate Response”, a smoldering incitement of retaliatory justice, before the blistering kicks of “Simulated Drowning” propel us forward. Album closer “Our Continuance" brings things to a cataclysmic close with its menacingly methodical pulse and pummelingly discordant breakdowns, tied together with a lush chorus amplified with swelling synth textures.
With Andy Sneap at Backstage Studios for mixing and mastering, the album sounds crisp and punchy, Victor’s biting lyrics confrontational and infiltrating, driving listeners to contemplate complex matters like the validity of truth, self-inhibitors, and altruism. Dynamically bold, ideologically driven, and melodically infectious, Prong honors their legacy, reminding us why the band has had such a successful longevity.

Isaac Stalling’s debut album, Falling in Place, is an intimate collection of eleven songs that embraces vulnerability over perfection. Written in the aftermath of heartbreak and recorded live with close friends in New York, the album preserves the spontaneity, warmth, and emotional honesty of its creation, favoring instinct and human connection over polished production. Blending understated indie folk, Americana, and singer-songwriter influences, Falling in Place captures the uncertainty of change, the weight of memory, and the quiet hope of moving forward. The result is a deeply personal debut that introduces Stalling as a compelling new voice whose songs feel lived-in, unguarded, and profoundly human.

The Tiberi Tapes opens a door long-whispered about among Coltrane fans: intimate, previously-unheard live recordings made by saxophonist Frank Tiberi as he followed John Coltrane through Philadelphia and New York clubs in the early 1960s. Captured on modest reel-to-reel equipment, these performances trade polish for presence, placing the listener close to the bandstand as Coltrane and his bandmates test, stretch and transform the music in real time. The sound bears the immediacy of its origins: raw, direct and alive with discovery.
For Tiberi, these tapes were study materials, a private archive of harmonic information and musical inspiration. More than sixty years later, they emerge as something larger: a vital chapter in the Coltrane story, preserving the feeling, risk and relentless searching that made the bandstand his truest laboratory. Heard now, the music feels not archival but immediate, a living document of curiosity, discipline and ecstatic momentum.

Over the past decade, Rex Orange County has discreetly become one of the most emotionally resonant artists of his generation, transforming vulnerable, diary-like lyricism into global anthems while amassing over 9 billion of streams and topping albums charts worldwide. In 2026, Rex Orange County returns with his most self-assured album yet, Dream Fatigue. Moving beyond his DIY roots, the 12-track album features collaborations with Daniel Caesar, Mustafa, and Turnstile’s Brendan Yates. Driven by gentle melodies and curious hooks, Dream Fatigue occupies the liminal space between soul, pop, and classic singer-songwriter storytelling.
