The world received a true hip-hop classic with 2007's release of Below The Heavens. And with Blu & Exile's recent acquisition of the album's master rights, the duo is pleased to join forces with Fat Beats for a special deluxe edition reissue!Throughout the album's 15 tracks, you can hear Blu & Exile's shared intent, which was to create something that was distinctly their own. They were young, hungry artists with gifts they wanted the world to hear, not only to showcase their abilities but to also reveal another side of West Coast rap. The early to mid-aughts were a dichotomous time for L.A. hip-hop especially. The underground was brimming with creative releases from acts like Freestyle Fellowship and Living Legends, but to the rest of the world, gangster rap remained the city's calling card. Before there was even a Blu & Exile, the producer kept hearing about this up-and-coming rapper named Blu who was performing at venues throughout the city. And it was one of Exile's other collaborators, Aloe Blacc (who formed Emanon with Exile), who helped bring the duo together. The two immediately hit it off, and embarked on a recording spree where the blueprint for Below The Heavens began to take shape. The duo laid down more than 50 tracks steeped in lived truths and tack-sharp writing from Blu as well as Exile's jaw-dropping sample flips and drums. Through painstaking decisions and track sequencing, the end result was a modern classic in the style of Blu's biggest influences-Nas, Common, Planet Asia, and DMX.Below The Heavens beautifully captures a special place and time for the then fledgling duo, while remaining a timeless piece of art. It's shiver-inducing and nostalgic, but also modern in it's sentiments and voice. It's a classic. UPC: 784085107495Label: Dirty ScienceRelease Date: 11.6.26Format: CD

After a decade since the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Seraphical Euphony, Melodic Black/Death Metal band Hyperion are proud to announce the upcoming Willowtip release of Elysia! The album is out November 6 on CD, 2xLP, and digital formats. The band had this to say about Elysia:"Elysia is an explosion of intensity in all kinds of directions. To call it an ambitious album would be an understatement. Hyperion never creates music with half measures and this is the ultimate statement of that. It is different from Seraphical Euphony, but still contains the vital elements that make us what we are. To make this album a reality has been a titanic effort and we are beyond excited to finally have it released to the world."

Comfort with ambiguity, dynamic experimentation and melancholy are rife throughout Brody Price's newest record, Leaf Miner's Daughter. Classic alt-country at it's core, this collection meticulously weaves together Americana into sluggish, heavy grooves; overdriven guitars, hook-laden acoustic dissonance - all bolstered by a songwriter full of heart and intention. An integral member of the Dallas / Texas scene and national DIY touring community, Price has been quietly building a dedicated community of fans across the US since 2017, entirely independent and reliant on each other to build and shape the tours by word of mouth. Following a cassette recorded collection of country songs, 'What's The Point In Trying' (2017), and the gorgeous and chaotic 'Win A Trip To Palm Springs' (2022), Price is tracing a sonic and narrative arc that feels specific, earnest and whimsical - not without it's dark corners and deep questions. The innate ability to find beauty among the rubble is rife throughout his newest, revealing an authentically tender desire to dig deeper to find relief and understanding. He invites us to empathize and sit alongside his turmoil in an effort to make ours more bearable. At home in his musicality and the discomfort of living, Price revels in the act of putting the pieces back together, giving us all permission to do the same.

For over a decade, Ciarán has been one of modern music's most intriguing and elusive creative voices. Best known as the vocalist, songwriter and producer FKA Bearface in BROCKHAMPTON who disbanded in 2022, his contributions helped shape some of the group's most beloved and emotionally resonant moments, earning a devoted global following drawn to his singular blend of vulnerability, melody and experimentation. Ciarán's debut solo album, RóisÃn, explores the tension between softness and strength, beauty and brutality. Created between New York and collaborative writing sessions with close friends, the LP blends delicate melodies with distorted textures, warped production and unpredictable shifts in sound, the album captures an artist embracing experimentation and breaking free from expectation.

Institute marks the powerful creative detour Gavin Rossdale embarked on in 2004 during a break from BUSH - a move that sparked one of the most compelling chapters in his career. Joined by guitarist Chris Traynor (now a core member of BUSH), bassist Cache Tolman, and legendary drummer Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters), the lineup reads like a who’s who of alternative heavy rock.Produced by Page Hamilton of Helmet, the album carries his unmistakable guitar-driven edge, adding even more weight to an already explosive sound. Long celebrated by fans as a hidden gem in the extended Bush universe, this record finally returns to physical format after years out of print - ready to reclaim its place in any serious rock collection.Featuring the standout singles “Bulletproof Skin” and “Come On Over”, this definitive edition also includes four bonus tracks, making it the ultimate version for Gavin Rossdale devotees and Bush loyalists alike.
