NoLifeTilMetal Records and Gammacide are teaming up to re-release the original Texas thrash metal masterpiece Victims of Science on strictly limited-edition vinyl and CD. Gammacide is an aggressive thrash metal band with a very short but powerful history. When Texas metal pioneers Warlock disbanded in 1985, guitarist Rick Perry and Eric Roy formed thrash band Gammacide. The band recorded their first 5-song demo in 1987 which made the band a cult favorite amongst the metal fanzine and tape traders of the time. Scott Shelby joined in 1988 as a second guitarist, thus doubling the bands crushing guitar assault. In the summer of 1989 entered Sound Logic Studios in Dallas to record their debut Victims of Science, which was released in early 1990 on Wild Rags Records, becoming one of the label's bestselling records. Gammacide recorded a 4-song demo in 1991 but by 1992 the band folded. In the late 90's and early 2000's the internet gave new exposure to Gammacide and created interest in Texas metal's most intense thrash experience. After many years of inactivity, Victims Of Science album was reissued on CD in 2005, and the band briefly reunited for a Texas tour to commemorate ""20 Years of Toxic Metal. "" In 2022 NoLifeTilMetal Records put out a CD and black vinyl version of Victims of Science. That pressing sold out. In 2025, Gammacide spread the toxic Texas thrash throughout the underground on a U. S. tour. The band is headed back out on another U. S. tour in the Summer of 2026. To conincide with the 2026 tour, NoLifeTilMetal Records and Gammacide have teamed up to re-release the original thrash metal masterpiece Victims of Science on limited edition Toxic Neon Green vinyl and Collector's Edition CD. The vinyl will include a 4-panel insert with a 24x12 collage poster. Only 200 copies will be pressed to vinyl. The CD release limited to 500 copies will include a 16-page booklet packed full of photos and memorabilia and will also include with six bonus tracks from the 1991 and 2005 demos. The music is remastered by Rob Colwell (Viking, Accuser, Flotsam & Jetsam, Helstar) from the original DAT tapes.

Shape The Future resonates with every chapter in this story.In high school, Nakamura's friends started listening to jazz and jazz fusion, which piqued his interest, especially when they started going to clubs to see it live, where they managed to see US legends like Sonny Rollins play. Eventually he began to play jazz every day and his musical skill emerged early. He soon became obsessed with getting closer to the source of this music, which led to his studies at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston with George Russell, an influential figure who had taught Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Nakamura drank it in: not only the technical aspects but the sense of a direct connection to a music culture [where] Russell and his friends changed harmony forever. I wanted to know how that was possible!.This was a radical experience in itself, but then another revolution happened for Nakamura. He was playing in a venue called The Western Front, near Boston and discovered that the elderly owner had his own soundsystem and was playing what was then - in 1992 - only just becoming known as jungle. This was as freeing a musical revelation as his proximity to the giants of jazz was, and in that instant the two things fused. He understood that using technology to fill a dancehall with sound and a jazz musician's reflexes are all working to the same ends: You're always making decisions, he says, but it doesn't have to be really difficult. It's the truth of the frequencies, and how they're affecting people's minds.From that moment on, his life path was set. Moving to New York City, he sought out jungle and it's offshoot sounds wherever he could find them, gigging and collaborating relentlessly, and gradually developing his own live and hybrid live/DJ shows. Through regular appearances at New York fixtures Zebulon and CBGBs, and continual shows elsewhere in the city, Nakamura developed his live performance and DJing and it was in these environments that he gradually weaved together his twin loves without compromising either, building an international reputation in the process.It's only fitting then that his first album, almost 35 years after he first found his musical direction, should be a live one: a window into this never-ending process. Even here, he had to be persuaded that he should make a record. A member of the fabric team got turned on to his music after their daughter saw him play. Of course, as a jungle lover, Nakamura knew fabric - which has a special place in the history of jungle and drum'n'bass - and had wanted to play there since I was very young. You can hear the club in the record: this isn't just a live show, in keeping with his jungle roots, it's Nakamura dueting with the soundsystem, and you can feel how the emotions in the room would have ebbed and flowed.This dynamic translates to a transfixing record. Setting the tone with lushly textured ambient and reverberant jazz, Nakamura segues into cinematic breakbeat and stellar fusion, infusing it all with intoxicating low end and hypnotic rhythms. 'How I Do It (They Wonder)' - A masterclass in less is more, and a serious DJ tool. Full of groove - slow it down and it will light the touchpaper in a house set - speed it up and you've got techno weaponry. Forget gate-keeping, this will make you feel like you just found a 2004 techno white label from the likes of Grain or Ben Sims.'I Desire' - House music that I reckon Deetron would be proud of... Blissed out machine funk, whispered vocals, slick jazzy chords and dubbed out techno stabs are all grounded by Yesca's impeccable, loopy drum programming. The best tunes always end too soon.'Domination' - The ever rising bass, err, dominates this track and this track will dominate on many a dancefloor, but Yesca's knack for dubbed out swinging synth lines has to get a shout out here too. He turns what would be melodic elements into what feels like part of the percussion. Double Threat. Hands Up and Heads Down business.'Paint on Walls' - It would be a tough call to say Yesca's saved the best til last with the EP's eponymous track given what's come before, but Paint On Walls works all the highlights from the rest of the EP into a Latin techno/house infused anthem. Jiskefet is one of the Netherlands' most famous comedy trios, consisting of Kees Prins, Michiel Romeyn and Herman Koch. They operated within the genres of absurdism, satire and improvisation and were active between 1990 and 2005. Most sketches are in Dutch, but occasionally in English as well, such as their famous sketch 'English Sports', a Monty Python-esque bit that playfully mocking traditional British field sports such as cricket and polo. Another famous sketch of the trio is 'Tampert' which is a satirical take on Derrick, a typical German crime drama from the 1980s. In 1997 the trio produced a very limited private pressing of it's theme song with 'Technofax' on the B-side, a spoof of Kraftwerk. The record wasn't widely distributed and not many copies have survived, making it a very obscure item, and we are therefore very proud to re-release this piece of Dutch comedy heritage on Music on Vinyl. Longtime friends Bibio and Dorian Concept reunite for Answers, a collaborative instrumental album set for release on October 16th. Having known each other for over a decade, the pair build on a natural creative rapport shaped through recent joint efforts - including Bibio's rework of Dorian Concept's ""Hide"" (2024) and their track ""An Unopened Letter"", the closer on Dorian Concept's latest album Miniatures (2025).Much of Answers was developed remotely, with ideas passed back and forth between Wales and Austria, reflecting both artists' preference for solitary, process-driven creation. Bibio, an English producer known for blending folk, ambient, and lo-fi tape textures, brings his tactile, guitar-led warmth, while Vienna's Dorian Concept, a self-taught keyboardist and synth improviser, contributes his fluid, exploratory approach to electronic composition.Alongside the music, the duo collaborated closely on the album's visual world, creating video and artwork together, informed by a shared love of vintage cameras and visual play.The result is an instrumental album full of texture that feels less like a debut collaboration and more like a continuation: two distinct voices meeting in a shared language shaped over years of mutual influence and quiet experimentation.
