Piss is a noisy, genre-bending four-piece band from Vancouver, B.C. Combining punk, poetry, sound collage, performance art, and visual art, the band creates a multidisciplinary body of work that blurs the line between personal and political. Powered by thoughtful musicianship, energetic live performances, and a crystal-clear artistic mission, Piss writes punk music that aims to transcend the limitations of a well-established genre. Their work draws inspiration from a range of unexpected influences: literary giants, philosophers, filmmakers, painters, psychoanalysts, activists, children, members of a German anarcho-feminist militant group, and conversations with audience members. These voices represent varying ideological beliefs about gender-based violence and enable Piss to create art that depicts challenging and controversial issues such as sexual violence and enculturated gender norms without reduction, romanticization, polemics, or dogmatism.you made me / skin on linen is the band's debut full-length. It depicts a childhood shaped by structural, systemic, and intimate violence. Throughout the record, art-making motifs serve as metaphors for the myriad ways we carry the effects of this violence: each experience leaves an impression, gradually creating or deforming the self, much like a piece of clay moulded by every mark it receives.

The Oak Ridge Boys are paying tribute to their favorite songs without losing sight of their gospel roots in a stunning and inspiring new album, Buried Treasures.
Produced by Anderson East and executive produced by Dave Cobb, Buried Treasures gathers together classic songs made popular by seminal voices such as Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole, as well as essential songs written by Billy Joe Shaver, Paul Simon, and Bill Withers. The vocal group’s spiritual side shines through on recordings of “Deep River,” “How Great Thou Art,” and “Softly and Tenderly,” yet there’s also a hint of romance in the enduring ballad, “You Are So Beautiful.” The album’s only new song, “Buried Treasure,” was written specifically for the project by Academy Award-winning songwriter Aaron Raitiere.
“Every song on the album is about something that’s dear to us,” Oaks member Duane Allen says.

As the genre-defying masters of stoner metal, the latest iteration of Sleep finds founding member and lead songwriter Al Cisneros newly partnered with the generational talent of Dale Crover (Melvins, Redd Kross) on drums and the iconoclastic Bubba Dupree (Void) on guitar. While simpler minds may seek out the redundancy of a monotonous iterative exercise, the road map of new album Hempispheres is an exploratory vision, one replacing overload with nuance and subtlety yet maintaining the interplay that made the band so special from the outset. So while the discourse on messageboards and comment sections bemoan the amicable absence of long-time guitarist Matt Pike, real heads, visionaries and open-minded truth-seekers alike will be rewarded with not the Sleep album they anticipated or expected, rather with Hempispheres being the album that is needed.

Legendary Children (All of Them Queer)" is a celebrated 1994 dance-pop track by former Frankie Goes to Hollywood frontman Holly Johnson. The song acts as an upbeat LGBTQ+ historical roll-call, honoring historical queer icons from Andy Warhol to Leonardo da Vinci, and was notably performed at London's Gay Pride in 1994. The song is based on the iconic Paris Is Burning and features the brilliant vocals of Helen Terry (Culture Club/2wo Third3). Released on the album Soulstream, the song is famous for it's spoken-word verses and euphoric chorus celebrating legendary figures like Oscar Wilde, Jean Cocteau, and Joe Orton. The overarching message is captured in it's defiant lyric: "The answer is clear, they're all of them queer."Now 2026 sees brand new versions by Luv Foundation (UK). George from the Sharp Boys, a dear friend of Holly's and Mark Loverush, mentioned to Holly that Luv Foundation (UK) should do the rework. Mark Loverush and Julian Napolitano wanted to capture as much of the original essence as possible, keeping that 90s flavor while giving the remix a big, classic feel reflective of how it would sound today. This is a limited edition of 700 pink vinyl, including 2 of the original versions alongside 2 remixes by Luv Foundation (UK). It comes in brand new artwork by Philip Marshall. Mudhoney’s Piece of Cake is a raw, swaggering blast of early ’90s grunge that captures the band at their most chaotic and self-assured. Released in 1992, the album leans into distorted guitars, sneering vocals, and a deliberately unpolished sound that feels both reckless and tightly controlled. Tracks bounce between sludgy punk energy and bluesy garage rock grooves, all driven by Mudhoney’s signature mix of sarcasm and grit. Lyrically, the record skewers excess, boredom, and cultural decay with a smirk rather than a sermon. Piece of Cake doesn’t chase mainstream appeal—instead, it revels in its rough edges, standing as a defiant, noisy snapshot of grunge before it was fully absorbed into the mainstream. Mudhoney’s Live! 1993–1998 captures the band at their loud, chaotic best, delivering raw, high-energy performances that highlight their punk roots. With buzzing guitars, pounding rhythms, and Mark Arm’s snarling vocals, the album embraces imperfections—feedback, crowd noise, and all. More than a polished live record, it’s a gritty snapshot of Mudhoney’s enduring attitude and unfiltered sound. UPC: 081227803100Label: RhinoRelease Date: 10.30.26Format: Vinyl
Mudhoney’s Tomorrow Hit Today finds the band stretching their sound without losing the grit that defines them. Released in 1998 and produced by Jim Dickinson, the album leans into a looser, more groove-driven approach, weaving in elements of blues, soul, and classic rock alongside their signature fuzzed-out guitars. The result is a warmer, more textured record that still carries Mudhoney’s trademark bite. There’s a laid-back, almost ramshackle feel to many of the tracks, as if the band is more interested in locking into a vibe than chasing pure volume. At the same time, moments of distortion and snarl cut through, reminding listeners of their garage-punk roots. Lyrically, the album balances wry humor with a slightly more reflective edge, giving it a depth that sets it apart from their earlier work.Tomorrow Hit Today may be one of Mudhoney’s most understated releases, but its blend of grit, groove, and experimentation makes it a compelling evolution of their sound. Chicago producer and composer Will Miller's Resavoir has established a strong following at the intersection of jazz, electronic music, and beat-driven production, with more than 9,000 vinyl records sold and 82M+ streams across the project's first three albums. Resavoir's 2019 self-titled debut received an 8.2 from Pitchfork alongside broad international critical acclaim, with ongoing support from Gilles Peterson, Lefto, Anthony Valadez, Somewhere Soul, Andrew Jervis and Lovie, plus airplay on BBC 6 Music, KEXP and NPR. Recent recognition includes placements on NPR, KMHD and New Commute's Best Albums/Songs of 2025, while Resavoir has toured extensively in the UK and Europe and opened for Khruangbin, BADBADNOTGOOD and Kassa Overall.Above The Clouds finds Resavoir moving further into electronic territory, combining jazz improvisation with dreamy synthesizers, booming drums, smeared samples and electronic instrumentation. Recorded through loose studio sessions with longtime collaborators Lane Beckstrom and Jeremy Cunningham, with contributions from Kenneth Leftridge Jr. And Gregory Uhlmann, the album incorporates wind synthesizers, samplers, guitars, electronic drums and woodwinds into a fluid, groove-oriented sound. The album follows Resavoir's growing presence across editorial and playlist platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL and Delicieuse Musique, with US and EU/UK touring planned for Fall 2026.

Mudhoney’s My Brother the Cow is a gritty, no-frills return to the band’s garage-punk roots, delivered with the swagger and irreverence that helped define the early grunge sound. Released in 1995, the album strips away much of the polish that had begun creeping into the genre, favoring instead thick, fuzz-drenched guitars, pounding rhythms, and Mudhoney’s trademark sneer. There’s a loose, almost reckless energy running throughout the record, as songs veer between snarling punk blasts and sludgy, mid-tempo grooves. Lyrically, it leans into absurdity and sarcasm, embracing a playful weirdness that keeps things unpredictable. My Brother the Cow doesn’t try to evolve grunge—it doubles down on its rawest instincts, delivering a loud, unapologetic statement from a band that never cared about fitting in. The seminal psych-rock classic The Evil One by Roky Erickson And The Aliens is reissued in a deluxe 15-track edition, restoring the original front cover from San Francisco's 415 Records release for the first time since 1981. Presented across two LPs cut at 45 rpm for maximum sonic depth and clarity, the release brings together the complete recordings from the legendary 1978 and 1979 sessions. The package includes a collector's booklet with liner notes by acclaimed Austin music journalist Joe Nick Patoski, who attended a recording session for The Evil One in 1979. Alongside rare photographs and archival images from the collection of Roky's then manager, Craig Luckin.Following his release from Rusk State Hospital in 1974, Erickson formed The Aliens and channelled his experiences and fascination with horror and science fiction into a singular new sound. Moving beyond the psychedelic garage blues of the 13th Floor Elevators, the band created harder, more ferocious rock built around jagged guitars, strange melodies and a propulsive rhythm section.Produced by Creedence Clearwater Revival bassist Stu Cook, The Evil One includes some of Erickson's most celebrated recordings, including 'Two Headed Dog', 'I Walked With A Zombie' and 'It's A Cold Night For Alligators'. Erickson's unmistakable voice and surreal lyrics, populated by zombies, demons, vampires and atomic monsters, gave the album a character unlike anything else in rock. Both the LP and CD editions feature rare photographs and images from the archive of Erickson's then manager and the sessions' executive producer, Craig Luckin. The Evil One has since become a landmark of cult rock, with it's songs covered by generations of artists and it's influence extending across punk, alternative and psychedelic music.

Todd Rundgren’s Runt: The Ballad of Todd Rundgren builds on his early songwriting strengths with a stronger focus on melodic pop craftsmanship and introspective balladry. Released in 1971, the album blends soft rock, soul influences, and baroque pop textures, showcasing Rundgren’s ability to shift effortlessly between tender emotion and playful experimentation. The record features some of his most enduring early songs, balancing lush arrangements with stripped-down, intimate moments that highlight his vocal clarity and melodic instincts. While more cohesive and confident than his debut, it still carries a sense of exploration, hinting at the ambitious studio experiments that would soon define his career.Runt: The Ballad of Todd Rundgren stands as a key early statement from an artist quickly evolving into one of rock’s most inventive figures. Dark Side Of The Spoon was the seventh studio album by Industrial Metal band Ministry, released in 1999. It opens with Al Jourgensen screaming "I just shot a man to death" over grinding guitar riffs and an unrelenting, martial beat. Clearly, these godfathers of industrial rock showed no signs of mellowing as they entered their third decade of sonic terrorism. True to form, Ministry delivered cut after cut of manic alienation on Dark Side of the Spoon. Porno for Pyros’ Good God’s Urge is a darker, more atmospheric evolution of the band’s sound, blending alternative rock with touches of psychedelia, worldbeat, and introspective lyricism. Released in 1996, the album leans into moody textures and unconventional rhythms, creating a sense of unease that runs beneath its hypnotic grooves.Frontman Perry Farrell delivers cryptic, often surreal lyrics that explore themes of desire, spirituality, and disconnection, giving the record a haunting, almost meditative quality. Tracks shift between sparse, brooding arrangements and bursts of intensity, emphasizing mood over straightforward hooks.Good God’s Urge stands as a bold, experimental statement—less immediate than their debut, but richer and more immersive, revealing a band willing to push beyond expectations into stranger, more introspective territory. On Iconoclast HaHa, San Francisco four-piece Aluminum take the genre synthesis of their debut - equal parts shoegaze, big beat, and alt-pop - and raise the temperature to a boil. Songwriters and lead vocalists Marc Leyda and Ryann Gonsalves continue to strike a balance between pop catchiness and experimental abandon while infusing each song with spontaneity, immediacy, and post-punk tenacity. "We intended for this to be a more guitar-forward album," notes Leyda, "so we recorded through Marshall stacks to give it a heavier feel, and to get a faster, more punkish sound that will be massive and immersive in a live setting." Fittingly, the album comprises a set of electrifying, full-band studio performances from an inspired week with recording engineer Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden Studio in Oakland.Thematically, Gonsalves notes major inspiration from "the frustration of living within a societal system that sets you up for failure, always 'not being enough' or 'being too much', and all the anger, exhaustion, and pressure to comply." Reflecting on the confluence of mood, message, and maelstrom across Iconoclast HaHa, Leyda elaborates with his ultimate artistic question: "When it feels like the world is tipping toward devastation, you keep pushing and trying to make something powerful and meaningful, because what else can you do?"

In Dead Deities, SATANIC PLANET’s new album for Relapse Records, we see a band coming into its own while offering an aggressive, pitch-black, deeply surly call-to-arms against autocracy in the age of Christian nationalism. Lucien Greaves (The Satanic Temple co-founder and spokesperson), Luke Henshaw (Planet B, Sonido de la Frontera, First Power Crew, Variations In the Key of the Afterlife), Dave Lombardo (Slayer, Misfits, Mr. Bungle, Dead Cross), and Justin Pearson (The Locust, Swing Kids, Deaf Club) are now a fully together-in-the-studio band with razor-sharpened focus, creating a sound and lyrical catalog of ideas that Greaves says is both more personal and even closer aligned to the goals of The Satanic Temple, which through art, action, and activism seeks to “encourage benevolence and empathy, reject tyrannical authority, advocate practiced common sense, oppose injustice, and undertake noble pursuits.” The Satanic Temple and SATANIC PLANET are here to empower all those who are needed in the ongoing battle against theocracy, apathy, and inequality.
Dead Deities begins as a brooding, doomy soundscape with backwards ritualistic vocals that churn forward like a barbaric horror flick scene before launching into the aptly named “Antichrist,” with a hypnotic, screamy post-post-post-hardcore intro that melds into a slow, nasty, heavy vision of what pop music might sound like in Hell. This 11-track stygian brute of an album is a journey through modern dark music with tolling bells, blackened synth, diabolical noise interludes, drums as heavy as a mountain, and group vocals torn straight out of your best-worst nightmares.
The record’s first single, “Sam Alito’s Mom,” references the arch-conservative Supreme Court Justice known for his work in helping to overturn Roe v. Wade. The track is an all-out assault on an absolute piece of human dogshit with Greaves and Pearson’s vocals twisting around each other like cobras at a slow, growling pace of pure sunless devastation. This is music that has come from decades of in-the-trenches touring and experimentation, from Slayer to the Locust, Planet B’s avant-garde sci-fi hip-hop to Mr. Bungle’s bizarro metal orchestrations. In Dead Deities you feel this godless wave of collected history building up to birth a gruesome new monster.
In an age of regression, reversed social betterment, and the label “terrorist” slapped on anyone brave enough to oppose the men in power, this is protest music with bite and bark in lethal, equal doses. If the goal is us taking care of each in dangerous times, SATANIC PLANET has your back (while holding the gore-dripping, ripped-out spinal column of your enemy up to the blood-red sun). SATANIC PLANET’s Dead Deities is flag-burning, cross-toppling annihilation, all in the service of shaping a better, kinder, more livable world.
