Following the ferocious declaration of intent laid down by 2025's Demo MMXXV, Milan-based musician Gabriele Gramaglia offers the first full-length manifestation of Lugubrious Garment, In The Wide Vale Of Uncreated Night. Known for his work with Cosmic Putrefaction, Vertebra Atlantis and numerous other entities operating within the more adventurous reaches of extreme metal, Gramaglia established Lugubrious Garment as an outlet for a more ravenous and instinctive strain of death metal; one driven by brute momentum, frenzied aggression and an uncompromising rawness. On In The Wide Vale Of Uncreated Night that initial impulse erupts into a considerably more formidable and fully developed beast. While retaining the layered, multifaceted songwriting characteristic of Gramaglia's broader body of work, Lugubrious Garment directs that complexity toward outright pandemonium. Gritty, abrasive guitars churn through pummeling and intricate rhythmic contortions as tortured vocals howl from within the tumult and cascades of shrieking lead guitar slash across the album's fractured landscape. Yet beneath it's seemingly unrestrained violence lies a meticulously engineered attack: riffs twist and collide at excessive velocity, tempos lurch between hammering force and sudden acceleration, and flashes of classic heavy and speed metal emerge through the wreckage before being swallowed by the surrounding maelstrom. In The Wide Vale Of Uncreated Night thrives upon this collision of precision and savagery, harnessing technical ability as another weapon in an arsenal built for maximum destructive force. Lugubrious Garment channels the restless imagination behind Gramaglia's other work into something noticeably more feral and antagonistic; a sustained barrage of serrated riffing, relentless battery and deranged metallic energy. In The Wide Vale Of Uncreated Night tears open the gates on Lugubrious Garment's first full-length campaign with a frenzied death metal assault built to leave nothing standing in it's wake.

Singer-songwriter Willis Alan Ramsey was 20 years old when he became the third signing to Leon Russell and Denny Cordell's Shelter Records - after Russell himself and the legendary J.J. Cale. The result was Ramsey's 1972 eponymous debut, a masterpiece of laid-back Texas country-rock, blues-inflected folk and outlaw ballads. As a child, Ramsey was an obsessive radio listener - from Elvis and the Beatles to Delta blues, country and even classical music. By middle school, he had formed his first garage band and started writing songs. After a brief stint at the University of Texas, he took to the burgeoning coffeehouse circuit where he toured alongside folks like Townes Van Zandt, Jerry Jeff Walker and Keith Sykes. It was during these shows that Ramsey developed much of the material for his LP, a diverse yet coherent mix that revealed his varied influences.Recorded in Memphis, Nashville and at Russell's home studio in the Hollywood Hills, the album features some of the era's greatest session musicians: Eddie Hinton on guitar, Red Rhodes on pedal steel and the rhythm section of Leland Sklar and Jim Keltner. A true songwriter's songwriter album, it's tunes have been covered by Waylon Jennings ("Satin Sheets"), Jimmy Buffett ("The Ballad of Spider John") and, most famously, Captain & Tennille ("Muskrat Love"), but no cover can beat the originals from the wise-beyond-his-years Ramsey.Though Willis Alan Ramsey has continued to perform regularly and write new songs, a second album is yet to be released. For years, whenever someone asked about it, Ramsey was known to answer "What's wrong with the first one?" The answer is, of course, absolutely nothing. In fact, it's perfect. This first-time vinyl reissue reproduces the original lyric sheet. Includes new interview with Ramsey and liner notes by author Richie Unterberger. There are records you listen to, and there are records you step into. Caribbean Serenade belongs to the latter - one of those rare recordings that draws you in immediately: warm, unforced, and nostalgic. It is the sonic equivalent of a golden Caribbean evening, an intimate serenade that feels like an invitation and a meeting point between roots reggae & rocksteady, with the richness of swing-era horn writing, capped off by classic dub remixes. It’s an organic synthesis that reveals a combination of musical languages rarely heard in this form.At its core is a 20-year bond between Martin Mayr (Roots Organisation), Mauricio-Jorán Ceseña and Jannis Klenke (The Black Oak Roots Allstars), alongside aDUBta - the producer and multi-instrumentalist who helped shape the album’s sonic identity. Distilling decades of mutual trust into a showcase that feels both effortless and precise, Caribbean Serenade brings back a shared musical language and intuition spanning more than two decades.Recorded at Attic Roots Studio, The Black Oak Roots Allstars provide a tight, organic rocksteady foundation, allowing Mayr’s compositions to flourish. Picking up the saxophone and flute for this record, Mayr contributes his deep passion for arranging. His writing is a cornerstone of the album’s identity: warm, four-part horn arrangements shaped by jazz and swing traditions, where the horn section leads. The arrangements are further elevated by Simon Kintopp’s trombone solos and Fabian Supancic’s gritty, bluesy organ.Ultimately, aDUBta’s production brings every element into sharp focus. A devotee of analog aesthetics, his commitment to the "golden era" shapes the entire record from tracking to the final mix. Each of the six instrumental pieces is paired with a live dub version, mixed in real-time on a Tascam 388. The result is a rare, masterfully crafted synthesis of reggae, rocksteady and swing-era horns. Caribbean Serenade is a timeless vibration, captured perfectly in the moment.

On this new album from LSO Live, Chief Conductor Sir Antonio Pappano conducts the London Symphony Orchestra in a pair of evocative British works-Ralph Vaughan Williams's expansive Symphony No.1, A Sea Symphony and Elizabeth Maconchy's dream-like Nocturne for Orchestra. Premiered in 1910, Vaughan Williams' Symphony No.1 was the first choral symphony of it's kind by a British composer. This blazing celebration of the sea transforms text from Walt Whitman's visionary poetry into an epic orchestral voyage. Brought to life by star soloists Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha, Will Liverman and the London Symphony Chorus, alongside the LSO, this epic performance is another magnificent addition to Pappano's ongoing Vaughan Williams symphony cycle. Composed in 1950, Maconchy's Nocturne for Orchestra depicts a meditative yet unsettling night under a journeying moon. Despite the pastoral influence of her formative teacher Vaughan Williams, this atmospheric miniature more closely reflects the composer's interest in central European modernism. While not often performed, the shimmering melodies and mysterious harmonies of Nocturne for Orchestra create a thought-provoking and memorable work.

Magic Boy presents Jimi Hendrix's legendary first show at the Berkeley Community Theater in May 1970.
Hendrix fans first became aware of his Berkeley performance when two early posthumous releases featured a stunning "Hear My Train A Comin'" [1971's Rainbow Bridge] and his electrifying rendition of "Johnny B. Goode," [1972's Hendrix: In The West]. The shambolic 1971 film Jimi Plays Berkeley stoked the fires further by way of its inclusion of extracts of Purple Haze" and "Star Banner".
Magic Boy includes those two classics and finally assembles the performance in its running order for the first time. In 1993, Macabre released "Sinister Slaughter", one of the most macabre and simultaneously subversively entertaining albums in the history of extreme music. The album instantly became a classic of death metal and grindcore. "Sinister Slaughter" is a sonic chronicle of serial murders, filled with dense, aggressive riffs and violent tempo changes. Macabre plays with contrasts: between grotesque and technical precision, between horror and irony. For fans of extreme metal, it's a must-have: grimy, uncompromising, and at the same time highly original.

A Visceral Retch is a song that fans of The Somatic Defilement will latch onto immediately. It was one of the first songs we had in the chamber to work with. This song came to light thanks mostly to Zach Householder. He showed us and we all immediately said “yup, that’s it.” Zach is notorious for very dark and horror-like vibes so this album is right in his wheelhouse. The song is disturbing. Imagine being put in a situation of survival by gluttonous, mammoth demons that give you a choice. Eat the demons‘ waste, each other or starve to death. The twist, you’re against the people you love the most. It’s a way to find the ones that are truly evil people to build and strengthen their cult. It also represents how horrible people can really be, when push comes to shove.

Across eleven tracks, the band of heroes draw upon a more diverse range of influences than ever before, without ever compromising on the hook-driven, memorable songwriting that they are known for. From classic power metal to thrash, high energy synth rock to vast, sweeping orchestral soundscapes and more. Produced by the band themselves and mixed by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe), this is GLORYHAMMER as you’ve never heard them before.
“Ultra Portam Astralem” opens Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath with menacing drums and fanfare, shaping the cinematic setup of the album. The origin of the perilous undertone is explained in the following “Ultimate Sacrifice,” a sweeping power metal track: The Space Kingdom of Fife has been forsaken and Kor-Virliath seeks a new way to seize power after Zargothrax’s failed ritual. Previously released as a standalone single, “On a Quest for Aberdeen” shines anew in an album version; and the place of its vibrant story and rousing character, Angus V, is now fully revealed as it takes its place among the wider narrative of the album. At this point in the story however, peace isn’t an option yet: Aberdeen is overrun by demons in “Die with a Sword in My Hand,” and with a sentiment such as the one contained in this song’s title, epic battles will surely follow. With a chorus full of gang shouts, this track is certain to become a live favourite. “Silver Talon” keeps morale high by addressing the mighty galactic fleet, stunningly rendered on the album artwork against the backdrop of the pestilential Terrorvortex. Ser Proletius’ legendary Space Knights of Crail join their ranks with the ace pilots whose campaigns are illustrated amidst a stunning orchestral landscape in “Starfighters of Leuchars.” Afterwards, GLORYHAMMER expands upon the story behind birthplace of Zargothrax, where the battle hardened “Warriors of Auchtermuchty” swear their allegiance to their emperor with an inescapably catchy sing-along chorus. Elsewhere in space, majestic melodies echo through the derelict halls of an abandoned spaceship, as Angus is guided to an unexpected long-lost ally, taking him one step closer to the ultimate goal of “Pax Galactica.” Electronic soundscapes lead into energetic “Demonic Devotion” which has the song’s protagonist, long trapped in his own mind, trying to reconcile with the destruction in his wake while “Hammer of Fate” sets the scene for what’s to come, but is it the fate we have all come to expect? The story concludes with the bombastic monolith of “The Celestial Warhost of the Dundonian Empire Marches to Space Against the Dark Sorcerer: Final Assault on Battlemoon X-22,” an epic nearing 13 minutes of playtime, split into four ever-so-theatrical chapters. As previously seen with GLORYHAMMER, the narration is expanded through voice lines of a host of legendary characters, as they engage in mortal battle to change the fate of the galaxy…
Will Angus and his allies prevail in this titanic struggle? Or will the galaxy plunge into demonic chaos? Join GLORYHAMMER and find out – For the Eternal Glory of Dundee!
