"ANTIFRAGILE" marks All That Remains' first full length release since 2018.
All That Remains have built an unbreakable axis between pit-splitting metal and anthemic melodies. This signature balance has defined the platinum-certified band's output since day one. It's why the quintet- Philip Labonte [lead vocals], Jason Richardson [lead guitar], Mike Martin [rhythm guitar], Anthony Barone [drums], and Matt Deis [bass]-have notched multiple Top 10 Active Rock Radio hits, sold out shows worldwide, and generated over half-a-billion streams. For as far as they've come, they've never lost sight of the cold Massachusetts underground where the guys first cut their teeth, preserving the same spirit without compromise. They've weathered the changing tides of a fickle business, unspeakable tragedy, and all manner of conflict only to come out stronger than ever on the other side. This strength surges through their tenth full-length album and first independent offering.
The album embodies everything All That Remains are at the highest level.
"I think we've managed to forge our own identity independent of every other group," notes Phil. "From our scene, we were among a very few bands who didn't go on a long-term hiatus, stop playing, or find other jobs. All That Remains has been what I do for the last 20 years. The fact that we managed to dodge all of the trends and be ourselves is something I'm very proud of."
By sticking to their guns, All That Remains have continued to thrive on their own terms as well. Among many accolades, signature hit "Two Weeks" received a platinum certification from the RIAA, while "What If I Was Nothing" and their cover of "The Thunder Rolls" by Garth Brooks each reached gold status. Meanwhile, 2008's Overcome went gold, and For We Are Many cracked the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Not to mention, they have scored five Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart, landing four in the Top 5. During 2022, the group launched a successful sold-out anniversary tour in celebration of their seminal LP The Fall of Ideals-which Revolver hailed as "one of metalcore's most essential records" and Loudwire christened "a genre-defining album."
However, they have also endured trials and tribulations that might've ended most bands. Following the death of original lead guitarist Oli Herbert, the band welcomed Jason Richardson to the fold.
"We spent a long time trying to figure out what All That Remains looks like without Oli," admits Phil. "It was weird, and it's probably why it took so long to get started. We remodeled our studio too. Except for what we'd written in my mom's basement, everything we'd made with Oli was done in that studio. The dynamic was different. Mike has written a whole lot more on this record. At the same time, Jason has his own style and sound, and it's filtered through what we do."
Ultimately, All That Remains are still standing strong.
"I'm incredibly grateful to anyone who has listened to our music or come to a show," Phil leaves off. "We survived in a changing business and world. I'm hugely satisfied with the success we've seen, but there's so much more to come. If you were a fan before, I think you're going to be a fan of this record." - Rick Florino, December 2023Track List

Is a re-issue of the band s fifth full-length studio release, Don't Panic, which debuted at number 6 on the Billboard 200, featuring 4 brand new songs including the hit "A Love Like War (featuring Vic Fuentes) plus four acoustic tracks!Track List

Double LP vinyl. Pinning down the precise sound of Alt-J is an impossibility. Undeniably addictive, frequently danceable, Alt-J defies easy definition. The band uses 2,000 years' worth of musical traditions to pump out chart-eating albums. "This Is All Yours" was released in 2014 and samples musical styles ranging from chanting monks to rock to soul to new age to dub step to choral to folk...and it works in a perfect blend! It is an impressive mix from a bunch of guys who met not all that long ago at Leeds University in the U.K. The album peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart with production help from Charlie Andrew. It's most popular numbers are "Every Other Freckle," "Left Hand Free" and "Hunger of the Pine." The 2 LP album set offers the best possible sound. Atlantic Records.Track List

In February 2024, just shy of the tenth anniversary of Alvvays' self-titled debut, it's second song and single, "Archie, Marry Me," reached a rarified threshold for our streaming age-one-hundred million listens through a single platform. For the world's biggest pop stars that's an average achievement, but for an upstart indie rock band then writing in a backroad farmhouse on a Canadian island, it represented a staggering proof of connection and widespread resonance. Makes sense, after all: "Archie, Marry Me" is a softly stinging, pointedly funny portrait of a common end-of-youth predicament-to wed or not to wed, to involve the state and the possibility of financial ruin when you're already saddled with student loans and just trying to survive. Instantly relatable, it is an anthem about prescribed social expectations and delighting, however noncommittally, in outcast status.
Now remastered and reissued with deep cut "Underneath Us" to mark a glorious decade of deadpan jangle, Alvvays feels that way from end to end-literally, from the opening stalking-you-with-love anthem "Adult Diversion" to the ennui escapism of sci-fi closer "Red Planet." In a little more than 30 minutes, Alvvays give us a song about loving someone to actual death ("Next of Kin"), how keeping secrets will destroy what you think you want ("The Agency Group"), and another incisive song about the societal demands of love and marriage ("Atop a Cake"). When Molly Rankin, Alec O'Hanley, Kerri MacLellan, and Brian Murphy cut these songs with Chad VanGaalen in 2013, long before they had a record deal, they were, in fact, young adults trying to figure out these encroaching exigencies for themselves. Again, these problems don't age; some of us just happen to be lucky enough to age out of them.
Little of this would matter if the songs themselves didn't stick, if the melodies weren't as timeless as the topics. But the tension between Alvvays' shimmer and snap and Rankin's knowingly droll delivery connects these numbers to a brilliant and deep rock continuum, from the glories of C86 and the triumphs of Athens in the '80s to Celtic folk's own magnetic candour. Each of these songs lands several hooks apiece: the sparkling drum-machine drift of "Dives," the noise-caked sway of "The Agency Group," and, of course, the half-diffident and half-confident matrimonial plea of "Archie, Marry Me" and that pearly guitar lick. Ten years ago or ten years from now, here are ten songs to slip in your pocket and pull out when the decisions of the world seem to swirl like the very guitars that shape them.Track List

Limited 180gm clear with yellow splatter vinyl LP pressing includes digital download. Alvvays is due to release it's much-anticipated second full-length, Antisocialites, this September. The ten song album is the follow-up to the Toronto-based group's debut self-titled record, which was shortlisted for the 2015 Polaris Prize and featured on numerous year-end "Best Of" lists from Pitchfork, NPR, Rolling Stone, NME, and many more. Antisocialites is set to carry the band to new heights, with Molly Rankin's distinctive vocals and erudite lyrics taking center stage against a kaleidoscopic backdrop of pop, shoegaze, punk, and some brand new tricks befitting a band that sounds wise beyond it's years.Track List

Limited blue colored vinyl LP pressing. Alvvays' third album, the nervy joyride that is the compulsively lovable Blue Rev, doesn't simply reassert what's always been great about Alvvays but instead reimagines it. They have, in part and sum, never been better. There are newly aggressive moments here-the gleeful and snarling guitar solo at the heart of opener "Pharmacist," or the explosive cacophony near the middle of "Many Mirrors." And there are some purely beautiful spans, too-the church- organ fantasia of "Fourth Figure," or the blue-skies bridge of "Belinda Says." But the power and magic of Blue Rev stems from Alvvays' ability to bridge ostensible binaries, to fuse elements that seem antithetical in single songs-cynicism and empathy, anger and play, clatter and melody, the soft and the steely. The luminous poser kiss-off of "Velveteen," the lovelorn confusion of "Tile by Tile," the panicked but somehow reassuring rush of "After the Earthquake."Track List

Deluxe Edition 2xLP 2014 reissue on red vinyl. In the years since it's release, American Football's self-titled debut full-length has quietly become one of the most fiercely beloved titles in the Polyvinyl catalog. Though the trio - Mike Kinsella (Cap'n Jazz, Owen, Owls), Steve Lamos, and Steve Holmes - only played a few shows and released just one other record (a three-song EP that preceded this full-length), their influence and legacy has steadily continued to grow in the time after they disbanded. From it's now iconic artwork to the band's unique songwriting approach (highlighted by an emphasis on shifting time signatures and sincere lyrics), American Football proves a record doesn't become a true classic through flashiness or catering to trends, but rather the deep emotional connection it forges between the music and the listener. After guitarist Steve Holmes discovered a set of cassette tapes containing a variety of unreleased recordings, the band curated an album's worth of these rare live recordings, demos, and practice sessions (in which the group rehearsed material they never recorded elsewhere) to complement the original record. Now available on 2xLP and 2xCD, American Football (Deluxe Edition) features beautifully expanded packaging that incorporates new photographs from Chris Strong along with lyrics, detailed liner notes written by the band, and never-before-seen band pictures.Track List

The band played a dozen shows and then parted ways. Then something remarkable happened: for the next 15 years, the album was discovered over and over, going on to sell more than 100,000 copies and becoming one of the most influential indie albums of all-time. In 2014 and 2015 American Football played their first shows in 15 years, selling out venues the world over. Organically, the band started to write new material, and years of ideas gelled into the a picture-perfect second album - to be released this October - 17 years after the first.Track List

Limited 180gm Light Blue vinyl LP pressing, includes digital download. American Football's original triumph, on their 1999 self-titled debut, was to reunite two shy siblings: emo and post-rock. It was a pioneering album where lyrical clarity was obscured and complicated by the stealth musical textures surrounding it. Like Slint's Spiderland, or Codeine's The White Birch, even Talk Talk's Laughing Stock, American Football asked far more questions than it cared to answer. But there wasn't a band around anymore to explain it, anyway. The three young men who made the album - Mike Kinsella, Steve Holmes, and Steve Lamos - split up pretty much on it's release. 15 years later, American Football reunited (now as a four-piece, with the addition of Nate Kinsella). They played far larger shows than in their original incarnation and recorded their long-anticipated second album, 2016's American Football (LP2). The release was widely praised, but the band members still felt like their best work was yet to come.
Blue Smoke vinyl. American Football's first album showcases cleanly picked guitars, intricate drumming, and the vocals of Mike Kinsella (Owen, Cap'n Jazz). The band, made up of Kinsella, Steve Holmes and Steve Lamos rooted itself in Champaign and recorded this album at Private Studios with Brendan Gamble (Braid). As a band, American Football dissolved into the history books almost as soon as this album was released, but it's success continued to grow in their absence and the band eventually reunited in 2014 for the record's 15th anniversary.Track List
