Boy with Apple, the Swedish shoegaze / noise-pop quartet from Gothenburg, returns with their long awaited sophomore album, Navigation.Having teased the world since the summer of 2025 with rumors of a follow-up to their praised debut album Attachment, Boy with Apple premiered the album's first single Feeble at Roskilde Festival in front of 3000 people. Attending college in Nashville, TN in 2015, Scott Hermo never really pictured himself as a full-time musician when writing and recording songs in various bedrooms. There was no plan, direction or goal. Yet meeting friends John Lewandowski, Tiger Adams, and Noah Miller changed all of that when the songs started to take more form with energy and live drums. Suddenly, there was a live band and like-minded folks with a similar outlook and collective goal to make the best music possible, for no one but themselves. Before ever even playing a show, they finished their debut album in yet another bedroom.After word of mouth spread, a band was formed so they could play the shows they were offered. - and with that came a love for playing shows, meeting musicians, digesting more bands, and perfecting their craft. Vice Versa was created out of the need of Belgian pianist Bram de Looze's (LABtrio, Joey Baron, Thomas Morgan, Hank Roberts) to collaborate with artists who he feels are natural extensions to his sound. He quickly found kindred spirits in New York master drummer Eric McPherson (Jackie McLean, Andrew Hill, Pharoah Sanders, Fred Hersch) and Berlin bassist Felix Henkelhausen (Jim Black, Nate Wooley, Lotte Anker), two compositional masterminds with a boundless sense of rhythmic inventiveness.The versatile and exploratory trio sets the bar for expressive interpretation and inventive creativity high. They traverse different approaches in which musical rules change without losing momentum. This leads to an interesting musical synthesis where the spirit of traditional jazz language emerges during intuitive musical excursions within free improvisation and contemporary music.Their debut album 'Vice Versa' came out in 2023 on Dox Records to great acclaim. In january of 2025, while Bram de Looze was the Artist in Residence at Brussels Jazz Festival in Flagey, they recorded their second album live on stage, witnessed by a sold out Studio 1. It was widely praised for showing the band's maturation from Your Favorite Weapon. The album's title is French for "already heard" and is a commentary on modern rock. Two singles were released from the album: "The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows" and "Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades." The album was written in "the year and-a-half or two years" that they were touring the material from Your Favorite Weapon.
