I Guess I'll Never Learn is S. Fidelity's third solo album on Jakarta Records. It follows A Safe Place to Be Naked (2017) and Fidelity Radio Club (2021). It's by far the most complex project of the Swiss-born and Berlin-based artist and producer. On 13 songs, together with seven guest vocalists, he explores the circular nature of romantic relationships, structured into three acts. While S. Fidelity sings in his signature mantra-esque style over two songs, the album also features an exceptionally diverse cast of vocalists. Among them, Collard, a close collaborator of UK pop experimentalists Bakar and Kojey Radical, and Dawn Richard, a multidisciplinary, boundary defying artist from New Orleans who first rose to fame in the mid 2000s as part of the R&B group Danity Kane, only to reinvent herself in recent years as an independent artist. Ace first reissued this album on vinyl in the UK in 2017 (BGPD 306) although that version came in a single sleeve with a printed inner. This version restores "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" to it's original Flying Dutchman format in a gatefold sleeve. The music and words - pressed on 180gm vinyl - are as relevant today as they were in the early 1970s.

Released in fall 1980 It was a top 3 pop album and # 1 R&B for more than three months, led by the hit singles 'Master Blaster (Jammin'), ' 'Lately' and 'I Ain't Gonna Stand For It, ' and the now-classic album cut, 'Happy Birthday, ' a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. Hotter than July was originally released on Motown's Tamla label on September 29, 1980. It was certified platinum and reached #3 on the US Billboard chart. This was his most successful album in the UK, peaking at #2 and producing four top ten singles. Hotter than July was nominated for Favorite Soul/R&B Album at the American Music Awards in 1982.
