MONEY are the Texas blackened metal punks who dropped that FINAL BAG Demo and 3 A.M. ETERNAL EP on us in recent years. It can be hard to keep up with the deluge of mostly bullshit that comes up on a daily basis but MONEY stands alone. Their "members of" list is impressive but it's unnecessary in light of the blistering 1-2 of licks and rapid fire drums. And while the aforementioned releases came into being via cassettes on the great Roach Leg Records and from the band themselves respectively, B.I.R. is proud to have these 7 corrosive tracks on vinyl for the first time. Amphetamine fueled riffs for moral decline. MONEY. FFO: Darkthrone, Anti-Cimex, Sepultura, G-Zet. Remastered by Arthur Rizk, this collection of the initial efforts by MONEY is both for the well acquainted and those who might have missed the tapes when they dropped. Each record comes in a jacket featuring art by Curse of Face and logo by Joe Chatt. Yee.

In celebration of the band's recent reunion appearance at a memorial gig for Roger Armstrong in Tokyo, Beach Impediment is honored to offer up the studio recordings of THE Scumbag on vinyl for the first time in over three decades! A bi-product of the late 80's crossover culture that was sweeping the world, THE Scumbag existed from 1988 through 1989, releasing a demo tape titled "Have Fun! More Fun!" and appearing on the V/A - ENJOY YOUR YOUTH BY THIS HARDCORE SAMPLER 12" alongside contemporaries like DISCLAIM, SIC, D.O.N.D.O.N. and FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS; the latter of which they'd share a split 12" with on the legendary MCR Company label in 1991 which accompanied a reunion with the original lineup. While most of the members would continue on in DREAD YANKEES, bassist Takeshi Fukushima would go on to play with the likes of IDORA, SWEATS and ROCKY & THE SWEDEN. The mix of traditional Japanese hardcore with fast paced thrash and occasional melody yielded memorable and unique recordings that are available once again, remastered by Toshihisa Hirano from the original tapes. Each record comes in a jacket featuring the iconic FVK split 12" slightly re-envisioned, along with an insert featuring archival imagery from the band's all too brief run.

River Shook's self-titled solo debut arrives June 26 via their own label, Blackberry River, marking a bold new chapter after the end of Sarah Shook & the Disarmers. The album transforms a shoestring process into a sweeping, fully realized sound. With searing honesty, vivid storytelling, and a blend of soaring electric guitar and shimmering pedal steel, Shook's voice cuts through with striking clarity. The songs explore love, distance, and emotional reckoning, balancing heartbreak with resilience and defiance. Both intimate and expansive, River Shook is a powerful statement of reinvention and hard-won self-truth.

Active since the 90s, the Italian producer is a dedicated explorer of the Italo Disco-inspired sounds native to his home. He's been plotting his sonic journey for decades, making pit stops at labels across Europe including Rekids, Toy Tonics, Slow Motion, Rotten City Records, and Roam Recordings. On top of his solo outings, collaboration has played a big role in his production journey to date. He's worked with artists like Howie B, Jazzanova, and Zed Bias, as well as joining forces on ongoing projects with fellow Italian stalwart Daniele Baldelli and Dimitri From Paris, the latter under the name Erodiscotique. Now back on his solo pursuits for Cyphon, Rocca proves he's still very much at the top of his game. The four cuts on 'Code 041' explore all shades of electro, from raw, old school machine funk to futuristic cosmic sounds. It's electro done the Rocca way.The title track sets the tone. An eerie bass line crawls along, providing a bed for reflective pads to glide and mysterious synth sounds and echoing vocal samples to ricochet above. 'No Gym' greets us next, bringing that Italo flair Rocca's mastered so well. It's the most vibrant track on the release, matching colorful pinging synths and tropical-tinged melodies with a signature driving acid bassline. On the flip, 'The Bigger Lake' takes the EP in a different direction, on a trip through dark glistening pads, tittering percussion and sub aquatic bass before the dusty breaks and moody, jazzy keys of 'Omega' bring the release to a close. "Songs Before Bed (2022)" is an all-ages album intended to help listeners wind down and reach a more present and relaxed state before sleeping. It marks Otto Benson's first physical release under his own name, following earlier work under aliases including Memo Boy, OTTO, and Pudding Club.Originally published as a digital-only release through Otto's website and DSP platforms on New Year's Eve 2022, Songs Before Bed bridges the gap between the more experimental psychedelic electronic works of OTTO and his most recent release, the acclaimed Peanut, released on NYE 2025.Blending brief pop fragments with melodic bedroom guitar, droning ambient shoegaze textures, and blissful IDM jaunts reminiscent of the Rephlex catalog, the album offers a seamless overview of Otto Benson's genre-defying sound. Originally conceived as a late-night record, Songs Before Bed (2022) rewards listening at any hour. Remastered for vinyl by Stephan Mathieu and pressed on Sonopress EcoRecord.

For starters, don't let the name fool you, this is Richmond, VA - not L.A. Coinciding with the beginning of the 1980s, the spread of punk's mutation into the harsher exertion known as hardcore punk began to spill across the continental United States. At long last, after 40+ years in obscurity, Beach Impediment is proud to present this long lost posthumous release of sorts, remastered from the original reel and accompanied by a 16 page booklet featuring extensive liner notes by surviving members Frank Gresham and Scott Price along with archival imagery related to the band and their brief but impactful existence in a sleepy southern town.

German DJ/producer Butch returns to Rekids with the 'O?cial Bump Call' EP. It marks his ?rst release on the label since 2011's 'Raw Beats' two-tracker, followed by a 2018 appearance remixing Basement Jaxx's 'Good Luck'. This time, Snatch! Records boss Riva Starr joins for a remix fresh o? the back of his 'Shine A Light' EP on Radio Slave's main imprint. 'Bump Call' and 'Foxtrot Uniform' are messages from old-school players to new-school fools. At a time, when everything revolves around health, discipline, and maximizing output - more shows, more structure, more money - this EP is a reminder of where it all came from. From a scene that wasn't optimized, but lived. From DJs who didn't just perform - they partied. Yes, times have changed. Even I'm on that ?tness wave now, living cleaner and more focused. But this record isn't about that. It's a nod to the chaos, the excess, and the raw energy that de?ned an era. A reminder that it wasn't always about performance - sometimes it was just about crossing lines" - Butch. Butch's 'O?cial Bump Call' plays with live, loose, and funky drum breaks that ride a swollen bassline. Toms and congas pepper the groove as steamy vocals inject the soul. It's a dusty, heartfelt House sound that balances vintage samples with his signature production prowess, making for a sure?re summer heater. Riva Starr is an equally in?uential producer who heads up the Snatch! Label and has been turning out essential House sounds for many years. His remix beefs up the drums while keeping the slow-burning vocal heat front and center, creating a devastatingly deep yet driving sound. Foxtrot Uniform' is another tasteful jumble of soul, funk, and gospel motifs with a lived-in house groove that's instinctive and real. Emotions bubble up but never boil over as the tension builds, culminating in an utter dance?oor release when the diva's vocal erupts. It's a masterclass in control and release. Butch has a vast discography spanning labels such as Life And Death, Running Back, Defected, Innervisions, Diynamic, Starr's Snatch!, and many more, while traversing myriad subgenres. He does it all, from intricate minimal with Ricardo Villalobos to Eastern-inspired psychedelia and pounding, prime-time Techno. Founded in 2006, Radio Slave's Rekids expanded with the techno-focused Rekids Special Projects in 2017 and it's latest sub-label, REK'D, in 2024. With Matt Edwards as sole A&R, Rekids continues to champion emerging and established artists alike, remaining a trusted home for house and related sounds, with recent releases from DJ Minx, Echonomist, Tal Fussman, and more. The Coastal Commission "On the Rocks": Atmospheric synths with a deep rolling dubby bassline beckon you to the dancefloor. The staccato 606 drum machine snare hits snap over the track before a monster kick drum comes thumping out of the speakers. "On the Rocks" has served as a killer intro track by many international DJ's including Grant Dell who recently opened with it in Los Angeles for "Sunday Sessions". A big tune in South America and in particular in Sao Paulo, Brazil, it serves as a great mood builder for DJ's looking to captivate their audience right off the bat. The Coastal Commission literally tuned the Arp Odyssey Bassline to shake down the walls, ceiling and floor while making this track.Always a massive fan of Night Writers (RIP) "Push the Feeling On", Sam read an interview where they revealed that they wrote the B-line using a Sequencial Circuits "Arp Odyssey" and that sent him on a mission to track one down. He eventually found one covered in dust in the back of a thrift shop in Santa Barbara for $50! (They now go for bout 3K). Excitedly Sam rushed it home to the studio to clean it up & after some playing around the Bassline was found and the other elements were built around that. The track finally breaks down to a beautiful jazz trumpet with muffled voices conversing in the background saying "Yeah that was Funky!", releasing the tension before building the strings back up with the vocal "Come on" commanding you to keep dancing."On the Rocks" is hailed as a modern deep house classic by fans and definitely one that will stay in your record box. Jesse Outlaw feat. Jason Harris "I'm Underground": Jesse pens another hypnotic slab of awesome West Coast dance floor tech funk alongside Jason's Harris on vocals. Jason weaves his story of underground living in the Los Angeles scene over a pounding kick drum and scattered percussion. The haunting keys keep the listener locked in as the dub bassline throbs beneath the track. As the tune proceeds it hypnotizes you & carry's you off into a dank basement groove. Only ever on dubplate & used on the second PCH "Summer Sessions" mix CD, this track finally gets a full release and is remastered by Martin Iveson. Classic PCH Business. Three decades in, Freerange doesn't look back - it expands. "30 Years of Freerange" - 30 tracks from 30 artists across five EPs. A slow-burn rollout culminating in a beautiful boxset meticulously assembled to outlast trends, algorithms, and short attention spans. A handpicked cross-section of the Freerange continuum from artists who've shaped the sound alongside up and coming voices pushing it somewhere new. Here, the label present Vol. 2 with six more brand-new and exclusive tracks from a variety of label regulars.Aroop Roy kicks things off with a brilliant slice of fresh house music, inspired by Detroit but with a distinct London twist. "We Are The People" is just the kind of forward-looking track the label love to release with it's loose groove, bouncing stabs and fat bass.Next we have the hotly tipped Coflo who goes for the jugular with "Unlocked" featuring Rawb Boss. Tight, muscular rhythms, 303 flourishes and a punishing bassline bring the peak time energy whilst soulful vocal hooks ensure this track will work like magic in a wide range of sets.Closing the A side, Fred Everything brings his signature deep and musical touch on a track entitled "Elysium". Lush chords and rolling bassline keep the vibe uplifting making for a perfect warm up track to set the mood and lift the spirits.Flipping over we have the Dutch duo Fouk and their contribution to the release entitled "Moon". Here they do what they do best by using their deft, sonic touch to create a hypnotic house workout featuring filtered stabs and euphoric strings.Freerange regular Matt Masters steps up next with a long overdue return to the label and his sublime slice of deepness entitled "Everywhere at Once". Introspective and melancholic, Matt utilizes chopped up piano and pad chords to create a beautiful track perfect for those special moments on the dancefloor.Ending on a blissed out, chilled vibe Freerange welcomes back South African producer Radic The Myth who delivers a sun-soaked gem entitled "Forest of White Trees". The perfect closing track for the EP, Radic The Myth goes heavy on the emotive pads and arpeggiating synth parts all underpinned with mid tempo stripped-back house groove making for a sultry, summery groove to get lost in. Chicago singer-songwriter Max Subar laid down the bones of Anything Could Be, his debut album, in a house on the shore of a frozen lake in Wisconsin. Subar returnedto the sonic and spiritual landscape he'd cultivated during the initial ten day session, remaining present in that moment by working when he could truly occupyit's heart. Most of the additional sessions that add texture and color to the album were recorded in Subar's home studio, in the same house where Case Oats, the CaseyGomez-Walker-led outfit in which Subar plays guitar, recorded their 2025 debut Last Missouri Exit. His brother, Sam Subar, played drums. Further instrumentation was provided by Case Oats bandmates Spencer Tweedy (drums on "I Never" and "Way Up"), Jason Ashworth (upright bass), and Scott Daniel (violin), as well as frequent collaborators Chet Zenor (electric guitar), Kelly Hannemann (piano), and Sarah Weddle (vibraphone, organ, and electric piano). The arrangements that took shape are generous and illuminative, giving flesh to the bones of Anything Could Be's live guitar and vocal takes without sacrificing theirspontaneity. "Performing no more than a few takes of these parts was crucial to keep the songs from ever feeling laborious, tired, or overworked," says Subar. "If Icouldn't get it in about three takes, something wasn't right. Maybe the part was too busy. Maybe it was my approach. Whatever it meant, I took it as a sign to move on.The result of this process is a mesmerizing, open-hearted debut that grows with the listener, rewarding time and close attention. Title track and lead single "Anything Could Be" is an invitation to meet Subar on this wavelength, his voice invoking the memory of a dream while his guitar gently pulls him through it's logic, arriving at the desire for freedom, openness, and growth that animates the record. On "Like You've Known It," the arrangement recedes into the sound of windchimes and waves breaking on the shore, an organic pulse that bears the song out into the water. His use of pedal steel on songs like "See Saw" allows him to stretch time, following it'sundulation to a stunning moment of witness where what's stirred to life is nothing less than a once-stagnant spirit, a long-simmering breakthrough that comes tofruition, at last, on "As The Weather," where his voice rises to meet that breakthrough with grace and gratitude for what he has weathered.Anything Could Be offers the listener both the transformative space in which the album was shaped, and a portrait of the artist, and person that artist became in making it. It's 11 songs are imbued with what the poet Adrienne Rich called "a wild patience," aradical stillness that is, itself, a journey towards consciousness, peace, andself-awareness. It makes no promises about what's next. Just the same, it leaves you in breathless anticipation for what that may be, so long as it stirs Subar to pick up his guitar and play through it as he did this chapter of his life.

Violinist Jascha Heifetz, playing with the New Symphony Orchestra of London, conducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent. Heifetz was the leading figure among the extraordinary group of Russian Jews who dominated violin playing in the second and third quarters of the 20th century. As a technician he had no superior, and, of all the artists of his time and later, only two or three could even offer a challenge to his electrifying precision of execution. His diamond-point tone and quick vibrato afforded his playing a clarity of line that some felt was almost too perfect, even cold. Most conductors and other violinists - and audiences - felt differently and a Heifetz concert inevitably drew sell-out crowds. Mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original 2-track master tape, cut at 45 RPM and plated and pressed at Quality Record Pressings - makers of the world's finest-sounding vinyl LPs, - no other editions match these for the quietest 180-gram platters available. After ten long years away from the studio, Gentleman Jesse returns to us bearing a new tentrack album that benefits greatly from the wisdom and heartbreak that a decade of life on this planet affords. An album titled "Lose Everything" is bound to have it's dark side, and behind the powerful melodies and jangly guitars a hint of sadness hangs in the air. But Jesse makes a bad time a good listen-after all, he's responsible for tunes like Carbonas' "Phone Booth" and his debut single "I Don't Wanna Know." While age tends to water down the output of older musicians, it's had the opposite effect on Jesse. Gone is any semblance of kitsch or power-pop convention. Also gone are his band-he's flying solo this time. What remains is a dazzling, mature earworm of a guitar-pop album. Each record comes in a matte jacket adorned with the photography of Riley McBride and also includes a lovingly assembled booklet featuring lyrics and original woodcut prints made by the Gentleman himself.

There are collaborations that feel engineered, and then there are those that feel like summer sun’s warmth on a Sunday. Helado Tropical, the debut collaborative album from Helado Negro and Reyna Tropical, belongs to the latter, channeling that easy, sun-drenched tenderness into sound. It didn’t begin with a plan so much as a meeting: two artists orbiting similar questions around language, identity, and music, finally landing in the same room. What followed was less a traditional writing process than a shared unfolding – an instinctive, immersive exchange that stretched across geographies, time zones, and states of being.
The duo first met in June 2024 in North Carolina, brought together by a mutual friend and a loose invitation to spend time in the studio. What might have been a brief session turned into something closer to a three-day sleepover – equal parts conversation, curiosity, and creative risk. Reyna Tropical, accustomed to close-knit collaborations, stepped into new creative territory, while Helado Negro brought a similar sense of curiosity and fluidity.
What emerged was immediate, rather than easing into collaboration, the two found themselves propelled forward by it – building songs in real time, responding to each other’s instincts without over-explaining them. There was no rigid division of roles. One would begin an idea, the other would answer. A melody would suggest a rhythm; a rhythm would reshape a lyric.
Across Helado Tropical, there is a noticeable absence of constraint: not just musically, but conceptually. Both artists share a long-standing resistance to the expectations often placed on Latin music: what it should sound like, how it should feel, what stories it should tell. As they do individually, these two artists create space for something more fluid and personal on this project.
What makes Helado Tropical particularly resonant is the sense of trust that underpins it. Trust in each other, of course, but also trust in instinct and in the process. Much of the album was written through improvisation, with meaning revealing itself only later, as the artists listened back and reflected.
In that way, the project functions as both creation and documentation: a record of a specific time, place, and connection. Reyna Tropical describes it as a form of archiving – capturing not just songs, but the emotional and relational context in which they were made. “It was a lot of processing, a lot of transition” they say about where they were at personally. Ultimately, it was about understanding that “this is supposed to be released so we could keep going. I really feel like this album does that personally, and hopefully is able to hold that for other people too.” That forward motion propelled by release is felt in every part of the album. It hums beneath the surface of even its quietest moments, carrying a sense of continuation, and of something still unfolding. Ultimately, Helado Tropical encapsulates a moment of two artists meeting at the right moment, with the right openness, allowing something larger than either of them to take shape. It is spontaneous yet intentional, grounded yet expansive, deeply personal yet invitingly universal.
And this convergence of forces is just the beginning.

Since 2022, Gabriel Jacoby has supplied listeners with captivating singles, including “the one,” “baby,” “be careful,” “hillside,” and the gently melodic “forever”—all of which have surpassed one million streams across platforms. Now 27, Jacoby released his debut EP gutta child in November 2025, marking a defining moment in his career. Born in rural Anderson, South Carolina, and raised in a family of artists, he began playing piano at a young age before expanding into bass, drums, guitar, and production after relocating to Tampa, Florida. By his teens, Jacoby was recording in a home studio and sharing music on SoundCloud, with early rap-driven tracks like 2016’s “Mr. Poet” earning six-figure streams. A brief incarceration during his youth proved formative, shaping his perspective and deepening his commitment to using his voice with intention.gutta child earned widespread critical acclaim from NPR, Billboard, The FADER, Stereogum, PASTE, and more, with its standout track “be careful”—a bluesy love song layered with deeper meaning—also marking Jacoby’s debut performance on COLORS. The momentum continued as Jacoby toured as the sole supporting act across all dates on Khamari’s sold-out To Dry a Tear North American Tour, capping off what has become a breakthrough year and cementing his rise as an artist guided by purpose.
