Following the success of their first album Settle, Disclosure expanded their sound on Caracal with a smoother, more R&B influenced approach. This 10th Anniversary Edition is available for the first time as a limited edition Zoetrope 2LP, housed in a gatefold die-cut sleeve. Each side is inspired by the original album artwork and campaign poster from the time, using the caracal cat and the featured vocalists’ illustrations to create animated movement across the discs as they spin.

In Library Copy Do Not Remove, Discovery Zone'sJJ Weihl presents a digital enchantment of reality, braiding together the material and non-material toreveal that they are, in fact, two aspects of one and thesame thing. In Weihl's world, Nature and technologyare not enemies, but instead create each other in aninfinite dance of meaning and reflection.Originally created in spatial sound for the Zeiss-Groß Planetarium in Berlin, Library Copy Do NotRemove is a creation mythology for the simulateduniverse. However, this is not some dry, Bostromian, masculine fantasy of a digital reality devoid of nature'smysteries. Instead, Weihl insists that the listener allowspace for the awesome reality of the natural worldwithin the framework of a simulation. If our world issimulated, then the simulation has to be capable ofcreating the beauty and splendor of Nature. In this way,Weihl engages an ambient alchemy, calling for a grandreconciliation of Nature and the technological, whileasking us to consider how and where the experienceof transcendent human consciousness might existbetween them.Written while Weihl was simultaneously completingher sophomore album Quantum Web, the songs onLibrary Copy Do Not Remove reflect an expansive, inspirational state of both excitement and anxiety at thetask of composing music for such a unique space. Thesongs themselves were shaped through Ambisonics,a specific format of spatial audio that is directionalinstead of being channel-based (like stereo), and weretransmitted through a mosaic of 49 speakers. Becauseit was written for live performance, Library Copy DoNot Remove was never conceived as an album per se,but instead as a three-dimensional event. In this waythe sonic staging mirrored how we perceive sound inour everyday lives: surrounding us from all directions. For this album release, Weihl mixed all of the songsagain from the ground up with long time producer E/T,reimagining and reworking the constellation of tracksfor a stereo experience.Inspired by the work of James Gleick, LD Deutsch,Johannes Kepler and Jorges Luis Borges, LibraryCopy Do Not Remove explores the creative tensionbetween reality and perception, information andmythology, harmony and disorder. Throughout thealbum, Weihl asks how we as humans come tounderstand the universe around us and the underlyingcode which animates it. What emerges is a sonicmythos that tells of spiraling digital universes, eachnested within each other, in which every participatoryagent is both a part, and the whole, of reality, at once.In this way, Library Copy Do Not Remove is a cyber-expression of perennial wisdom: instead of "as above,so below," Weihl might suggest, "as with input, sowith output."

Double vinyl LP pressing. After a six-year hiatus, Efdemin returns with POLY - his fifth studio album, released on the recently revived Berghain-affiliated label, Ostgut Ton. As the title suggests, POLY explores multiplicity: of rhythm, texture, style, and emotion. Across eleven meticulously sculpted textures, the album weaves a multidimensional web of sonic references, nodding to the origins of techno while pushing resolutely into uncharted terrain. POLY feels like an afterglow - of decades on the dancefloor, of restless sonic exploration, and of a profound connection to the spaces and communities that have shaped Efdemin's sound.

Long-running collaborators Elori Saxl & Henry Solomon present their new duo. Both are key players in an emerging US underground of experimental composers who are redefining the modern vanguard. While Solomon is rooted in LA's fertile jazz underground, Saxl is a proponent of NYC, taking up the torch of minimalism and fusing it with an electronic sensibility informed by soundsystem culture and modern pop production. Their debut album as a duo, Seeing Is Forgetting, is a work of stunning fluidity and intimate interplay. Across it's nine tracks, Solomon's baritone sax and bass clarinet weave tendrils around Saxl's heartwrenching Juno 106 harmonies. While Solomon has been an active contributor to Saxl's work over the last half-decade, playing in her quartet live and accompanying her on the Texada soundtrack and Drifts and Surfaces EP, Seeing Is Forgetting marks their first collaboration as equal partners. Recorded over just a few nights in Los Angeles, the album is a testament to their near-telepathic intuition. Each moment breathes with unhurried elegance and an emotional depth that stops you in your tracks. Two pop obsessives (Solomon frequently plays with Miley Cyrus, Haim, Paramore, Vampire Weekend, and more), they bring a refracted interpretation of that shared love to Seeing, bridging the worlds of experimental improv and top 40 with surprising clarity.

In these times of anxiety and deprivation, journey to a place of sensual attainment on A Sky So Close, the elegantly erotic new album from producer Eric Hilton. A Sky So Close delivers classic trip-hop sounds over 12 tracks of pure sensory indulgence.
Hilton’s luxurious production skills are on full display here, as well as the deep grooves that he’s been delivering since the early days of Thievery Corporation, the legendary downtempo combo he co-founded in the mid-90’s. But on A Sky So Close, there is a hedonic weightlessness to this music that verges on the tantric, with no climactic finish to bring the listener back down to earth. Hilton keeps you floating in an extended, delicious haze.
Let go, and fall into the sky. It is…..so…..close.

O is the hugely anticipated debut album from New York City’s white-hot duo, Fcukers. Having quickly built a reputation for their electric live shows and irresistibly catchy hooks, Shanny Wise and Jackson Walker Lewis have gone from playing standing-room only shows at Baby’s All Right to packed out stadiums supporting Tame Impala, Justice, and Dom Dolla and selling out their own 1k+ headline shows in the space of just 2 years! Along the way they’ve played every major festival including Coachella, Glastonbury, Primavera, Lollapalooza and opened for Haim, multiple dates for LCD Soundsystem and gained a long list of including Harry Styles, Charli xcx, David Byrne, Clairo, Fontaines DC and Beck, who recently joined them on stage at their LA headline show.
After 2024’s Baggy$$ EP, which spawned the band’s biggest hit “Bon Bon” as well as earworm “Homie Don’t Shake”, all eyes have been firmly on the pair to find out what happens next, and Fcukers do not disappoint. A brief meeting with Kenneth Blume (FKA Kenny Beats) - fresh off producing Geese’s Getting Killed - turned into a whirlwind session at Blume’s studio, where they recorded the entirety of their new album. With 100 gecs’ Dylan Brady providing additional production on tracks across the album, and multi-Grammy-winning engineer Tom Norris (Lady Gaga, Charli xcx, The Weeknd) coming on board to mix the album. The result is 11 tracks that make you feel like you’re at the afterparty.
Fcukers will follow up their album release with their first full North American headline tour and another round of summer festivals. There's no sign of slowing down for this band continually on the rise.

Fever Ray (Limited Edition Numbered White LP) Mute is excited to announce a limited edition white vinyl repress of Fever Ray, the acclaimed self-titled debut album from Fever Ray aka Karin Dreijer of Swedish electronic duo The Knife. Originally released in 2009, this marks the first-ever color vinyl edition of Fever Ray, presented as a limited run of 2,000 individually numbered copies. The album features the iconic single "If I Had a Heart" - later immortalized as the theme to the TV show Vikings - alongside the fan-favorite live staple "I'm Not Done," and "Keep the Streets Empty for Me," which was memorably featured in the Netflix series Dark. The Observer praised it "an astonishingly stark record" that is "built on the barest of electronic bones and brought to life through [Dreijer]'s almost primal vocals... songs search for a spiritual pulse amid soulless modernity." A defining album of it's era, Fever Ray remains a touchstone in electronic music with lasting influence. UPC: 724596940839Label: Mute U.s.Release Date: 4.24.26Format: Vinyl

Frankie Archer has exploded onto the electrofolk scene with music that transcends stereotypes. Frankie has been featured on 'Later... With Jools Holland' and championed by tastemakers at BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music. Following the release of her debut EP 'Never So Red' (November, 2023), she has supported the likes of The Futureheads and The Last Dinner Party on tour. On 'The Dance Of Death', Archer channels these experiences and reconstructs some of the oldest songs in the English canon with fractured, future-facing production. Working from archival ballads of obsession, devotion and loss, she warps fiddle lines, processes her own vocals and drives the material with pulsing drum machines and colorful synth arrangements. Co-produced with Guy Massey (Kylie Minogue, Spiritualized, Richard Hawley), the record expands English folk into something immersive and modern. Influenced by the work of Little Dragon, Hannah Peel, RosalÃa, Björk and Bat for Lashes, Archer approaches folk as a producer first. Inspired by the medieval Danse Macabre, 'The Dance Of Death' is, in Archer's words, "a collection of nu-ancient trad bangers" - stark narratives of mortality and longing rebuilt through meticulous studio experimentation.

Following the jazzy library vibes of 2023’s collaborative Dolphin LP with Greg Foat and Moses Boyd, the venetian maestro Gigi Masin returns to the ambience for which he is renowned, with Movement—his first solo full-length since 2020’s Calypso, and his Sacred Bones Records debut. Fuelled by creative reinvention and rhythmic motion, he moves seamlessly between melancholy MIDI notes, technoid robotics, groovy liminal cloudscapes, and fathoms-deep ambient aquatics.Since early beginnings in obscurity, his 1986 debut album Wind slowly built an organic following on late night radio, later bolstered when “Clouds” was sampled by artists like Björk, Post Malone, and more. He now counts Oneohtrix Point Never, Devendra Banhart, Caroline Polachek, and the late Kenny Wheeler as fans. The new album Movement reflects on Masin’s place within the pantheon of ambient masters, his ongoing artistic ambitions, and his aspirations for a scene which he’s seen grow exponentially from humble beginnings. The lp is also an ode to literal movement, both in nature, and in human physical expressions to sound. Masin strived to make ambient music for movement, not in the standard dance music sense, but “dynamic music, with a beating heart full of love.” Reconfiguring ambient’s associationwith solitary listening and cold academia, Gigi went outwards, channeling something somatic that connects with the body, not just the mind.“Bed on Mars” sets the titular tone for Masin’s renewed curiosity, with cosmic atmospherics evoking the sensation of waking up on a new planet unafraid, whilst the poignant synthesized trumpet and suspended liminal limbo of “Lost” feels like floating adrift in an unknown sea. Delving further into off-centre beats is the celestial techno funk of “Deception Dance,” which sounds like Sun Electric jamming with Carl Craig and Kraftwerk. The bright beaming light of “Golden” radiates warmth, sounding like the bossa-nova brother of Göttsching’s Balearic classic E2 E4.Despite the passing of his wife after a long illness, and losing his musical archive in a flood, Gigi remains pure-at-heart and positive, pouring his soul into the pursuit of beauty. The latest in a slow-starting but steadily building career, Movement sees Masin continue to secure his seat at the table of true ambient greats.
