Meanwhile, Wendell Harrison-leader of Detroit's TRIBE collective-has remained steadfast in independently advancing Black consciousness and spiritual jazz from a grassroots perspective. Though they never met in life, these two artists are brought together through a tribute performance dedicated to Sanders.
