A new hip-hop collective is quietly taking shape under the name Jazz Akrobatiks, bringing together some of the most respected voices in underground and classic hip-hop. The group unites MCs Awon, Beneficence, and the legendary Doodlebug of the Grammy-winning group Digable Planets, backed by the unmistakable sound of UK producer duo Jazz Spastiks.
Known for their warm, jazz-infused boom bap aesthetic, Jazz Spastiks lay down a rich sonic foundation - dusty drums, soulful samples, and head-nodding grooves - perfectly complementing the sharp lyricism, experience, and individuality of three seasoned voices on the mic. The result is a project deeply rooted in tradition, yet alive with a fresh and vibrant energy.
Their limited edition 7" vinyl single "Bubblin'" delivers a truly jazzy heater, with all three MCs trading verses in top form.
