Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.3 is full of symphonic grandeur - the minor key bringing out the turbulent side of the composer's personality with outer movements brim-full of tempestuous drama, offset by the dreamy reflectiveness of the central Largo. Beethoven's fifth and final piano concerto is known as the 'Emperor' among concertos. With it's all-conquering spirit and unquenchable reserves of spiritual as well as physical energy, along with it's imposing virtuoso flourishes, this is one of his seminal masterpieces. Elena Ulyanova is an award-winning concert pianist and distinguished graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Her elegant performance style runs the gamut of power and strength to a delicate, floating finesse. Grammy nominated conductor Dmitry Yablonsky has performed in the famous halls of the Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall, Moscow Conservatory Great Hall, St. Petersburg Philharmonic and La Scala among others.
