Description
All works on this new album are recorded live in the version or arrangement that can be heard as World Premiere Recordings, some of them as part of the Salzburg Festival 2025 - wonderfully interpreted by Elena Denisova (violin), the Austrian Gustav Mahler Ensemble under the direction of Alexei Kornienko. Franz Hummel's Violin Concerto in memoriam Max Reger was premiered and recorded at the Max Reger Days in Weiden/Germany in 2016 in the presence of the composer. Violinist Elena Denisova arranged Stravinsky's Suite for Violin and Piano in a version for Violin and Orchestra, which brings to light completely new timbres and a surprising musical appearance. Vol. 1 of this edition has been published with the title Violin Concertos XXI (TXA17093).
