Description
After more than four decades of recording, touring, and inspiring generations of Christian rock and metal fans, Bride continues to prove that passion, purpose, and creativity have no expiration date. While many bands spend their later years revisiting the past, Bride continues to move forward, writing new music with the same conviction, energy, and spiritual focus that made them one of the most influential Christian rock bands of all time.Originally released independently in 2025, Vipers & Shadows delivered an impressive statement from Dale and Troy Thompson-two complete albums of brand-new material showcasing the many sides of Bride's musical identity. From driving hard rock anthems and blues-infused rockers to reflective moments and faith-filled declarations, Vipers and Shadows demonstrate a band that remains fully engaged in it's craft and ministry.Disc One, Vipers, captures Bride's energetic and melodic side with tracks like ""Whatcha Doing Out There,"" ""Higher,"" ""Deliver Us From Evil,"" and ""Can You Stoke The Fire.""Disc Two, Shadows, explores deeper emotional and spiritual territory through songs such as ""Millions Miles,"" ""Anytime I Call On You,"" ""Black Kiss,"" ""Wrath,"" and ""In One Life."" Together, these twenty songs form one of the most ambitious releases in Bride's extensive catalog. Now Retroactive Records offers this exclusive Metal Icon Series collector's edition featuring two bonus tracks unavailable on the original release. Fans will be treated to Bride's powerful interpretation of the classic U2 ""Sunday Bloody Sunday"" and a stirring new version of The Beatles moving ""Eleanor Rigby."" These additions make this edition the definitive physical release of Vipers & Shadows.Packaged in a traditional 2-CD jewel case with a full-color 12-page booklet, this limited pressing celebrates a band that continues to create music with authenticity, conviction, and an unwavering commitment to Christ. As Bride boldly declares:""Every word we sing, every note played, is for Him.""Whether you have followed Bride since the Pure Metal Records days or are discovering the band for the first time, Vipers & Shadows stands as further evidence that one of Christian rock's most enduring bands still has something meaningful to say. From the opening track ""Whatcha Doing Out There"" to the haunting closer ""In One Life,"" Bride proves they haven't lost a step-they've evolved, sharpened by time and guided by divine fire.
