Clear Light - Clear Light (LP, Album, All) (Very Good Plus (VG+))

Description

Media Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Sleeve Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)

Clean copy. Record is clean VG+/EX with no scratches. Cover sharp with light shelfwear only. Original inner with folded corner.

Notes:

Gold/tan Elektra label with Clear Light logo.
Allentown pressing, identified by the "AR" date-codes faintly etched in runouts.
Label variant:
First Allentown version: label variant with
• No publisher credit for track A1
• Side A label incorrectly marked "All songs © copyright Nina Music BMI".
• September pre-release plate/pressing dates in runouts.

The "AR" date-code was inscribed each time a stamper was made; they vary considerably in style but it's all the same pressing: some are MM-DD-YY (Variant 1), but many use a pressing-plant MMDDY shorthand with only the final digit of the year (with or without a separator, as seen in Variant 2).
All runouts also contain a tiny and indistinct set of initials that have not yet been identified. (RK, R10 and PY have been suggested.)

Issued with a special inner sleeve showing a picture of the band in black and white.

Also released in mono (# EKL-4011).
Recording first published October 1967.

Sleeve is marked "All songs © copyright Nina Music BMI, except where otherwise indicated" with correct credits for A1, Nina Music / Little Giant, and B1, Deep Fork

"To fully appreciate the spectacular sound of double drumming in Clear Light, play this record at high volume."
