Danish Dynamite! The Danish Quartet, established in the 1930s, was quite famous for more than two decades in Denmark as well as abroad. Many composers wrote music for their nontraditional setting, such as, on this album, Niels Viggo Bentzon, Fini Henriques, Herman D. Koppel, Otto Mortensen, and Knudage Riisager. With one exception (Riisager) it is all world premiere recordings performed by today's highly ranked and award-winning Swedish-Danish musicians: Janne Thomsen (flute), Cecilia Zilliacus (violin), Andreas Brantelid (cello), and Bengt Forsberg (piano).
